Is this a question or a statement that Vanuatu is open to cruise ships? If it’s a question,no ,not to my knowledge. To date there is no evidence that vanuatu or noumea will be opening up for cruise ships that I can find. Some here have said cruise ships will be welcome as of July 1 but I can’t see anything, if they can forward a link,I would like to see it. Vaccination rates have come along pretty well,3rd boosters are low though.

On the news they are saying Covid numbers could be higher that the peak of the pandemic in a few weeks. I would say it’s got something to do with it . The restart is in its infantcy and I don’t think they blow it.

I think they are trying to keep the cruises short because of the incubation time. No way I would do 3 short booze cruises to replace a longer cruise.

I think I prefer vision to enchantment, I wonder if we get it year round. It probably will be swapped for something else , I’m still thinking Adventure of the seas would be better.

Darwin port has a booking for Vision of the seas in February 2025. Do you think it will be doing a around Australian Cruise ?

Quantum class are doing 3 different routes or more. Tasmania with a overnight in Hobart. NZ top island but there would only be 2 ports unless they can use the container terminal in Auckland. And the islands Noumea,Lelepa and maybe Vila. Someone posted on this forum that NSW ports have put a submission into Eden council to expand the dock for oasis class. I think it’s insane but they have. But the thing is ,in 2025 Royal Caribbean will have 6 oasis and 2 Icon class. They are warm weather ship and they will have to do something with them during the northern hemisphere winter. The Caribbean market is already saturated and they will have to bring one to the Pacific . Icon is due in Miami in October 2023 and Utopia will be there in February 2024. That 7 mega ships in Florida and Galveston during winter,not to mention the others. I think Wonder will finish the European season in October 2023 and come to the pacific. It will do a season in Singapore and come to Australia October 2024.

Unnamed oasis class ship is Wonder of the seas . Theres going to be 6 oasis and 1 Icon class ship by mid 2024 . The question is ,where are they going to home port all those huge ships in the northern winter. 1 in New York (But probably to cold ) 1 in Port Canaveral 1 in Fort Lauderdale 1 in Miami 1 or 2 in Galveston 1 in Sydney or Brisbane ,I don’t think Brisbane because they can’t fill Quantum.They could interport . And want local ports can oasis class sail to as they don’t tender. Sydney ,Brisbane,noumea,Lelepa,Hobart,Tauranga,Picton and possibly Vila .Theres also a proposal for Eden???.

Last time I was on Ovation (2 years ago ) they had kettles as all Australian sailings have them. Im sure you can request them ,there must be a few spare ones.

I think it’s the second ship that was just started is going to be scrapped. The first one Global dream is going to operate out of Singapore. But what a waste

There doesn’t look like there’s enough small ships that can fit under the bridge to get 2 ships at a time at white elephant. We went there a week ago and what a inconvenient place. And I thought you may have remembered athol bouy , plus point piper is in use NEXT season not this season coming.

Next season I believe Graham, I believe it may be Disney wonder about 300 meters long. Sydney harbour is going to be bursting at the seams .

There’s a few bookings for Norwegian spirit but not a lot. Its not virgin as they use a different agent. There was a booking in Hawaii for one of the Disney ships doing a stop but it has disappeared.

I thought Disney also Michael. I tried to find out what agent they use but couldn’t find it. By media reports they will definitely be coming next season.

There’s quite a few entries for next season of unknown ship and unknown cruise line at OPT The agent is wilhelmen ship service. Any speculation on the ship ? I’t not enchantment of the seas but something else. It could be the Norwegian ship and it’s not regent as it will go to white bay.
