  1. That's not the same as being officially assigned. The bar code trick usually works as soon as you check-in and have access to your set sail pass. Regardless, congrats on getting the same cabin for a B2B. Our recent B2B GTY's weren't remotely close (not that we cared) and we ended up Royaling Up one and I moved the other anyway.
  2. Had a great dinner in Sabor on Harmony a couple months ago, first time trying it. Excellent filet in CK on night one. Enjoy! P.S. If Rodrigo is still onboard running CK, you'll love him. Very funny and great at his job.
  3. My understanding was always that you would get your exact cabin type, but it can vary within that level. For example, I got a virtual balcony once when I booked an interior GTY. It's still an interior cabin but they do charge more for it than a standard interior.
  4. Nope. I was waiting for my official assignment (I knew the cabin # via the bar code trick) when I won a RoyalUp last month.
  5. It can be any time from months in advance to the day of your cruise.
  6. Nope. Not sure how that would work anyway. What makes one cabin in the same category better than another is largely personal preference. I may want my GTY interior on a high deck, aft. Others may prefer forward on a lower deck.
  7. Ask RT&T. Their live chat was very responsive and helpful for me.
  8. I feel for you. Have several friends in the UK complaining about your recent heat waves. It's been over 90F here for months, lol. Living without AC is obviously not an option.
  9. I asked about this in advance and they told me the proctor of the earlier appointment would happily cover both my wife and I at the same time, which she did of course, but nice to hear that your nurse went out of her way to do that for you on her own. This company seems extremely well run.
  10. Yes, it's such a hardship to carry some singles in your pocket and tip when handed a drink.
  11. If you're addressing me or asking about RT&T, no, you just click on the link they send. They use Microsoft Teams but you don't have to download it. All this info is in the thread I posted above.
  12. Depends on the proctoring company. Both RapidTestAndTrace and OnPoint will do multiple people on the same video call.
  13. I'm confused. You can get tests from any major retailer (if you don't have any free government tests lying around) and online proctoring is available for $20pp or less from sites like rapidtestandtrace or onpoint. What makes rapid antigen tests hard to come by in your area?
  14. Yes, I was aware, thank you. I was also pretty sure the poster I was talking to is from the US, however.
  15. Were you aware you can ask to be moved to any cabin in the same category as long as there is availability? I moved a GTY last month that I was perfectly content with just b/c there was a cabin available in a spot I liked even better.
  16. Not sure of the earliest my "official" assignment was ever given (it was never very late but that is possible) but you can usually find out your cabin as soon as you check in and have your set sail pass in the app using the "bar code trick." Add your set sail pass to your Apple wallet (if an Apple user) and numbers will appear under the bar code. The numbers to the right of the dash represent your cabin. If not an Apple user, scan the bar code to get the same set of numbers.
  17. The theme for each night can be found in the app and cruise compass (i.e. Italian, Mediterranean, Caribbean, etc.) That said, you never really know what you will find unless you check it out yourself. There are always random offerings that don't necessarily fit the theme.
  18. There was a crepe station one night on my recent Indy cruise. I have seen them on random nights on different ships over the years.
  19. Just went on Freedom class for the first time after years of almost solely Oasis class. Had been on Freedom before and Voyager class several times though. As mentioned, it really depends what you like about and where you spend your time on Oasis class. I missed Park Cafe and crossing the ship via Central Park. And we only use the Solarium, never the main pool, which will feel much smaller. But we knew that going in of course and had other reasons we wanted to go on Indy. Anyway, I think you'll be fine. The promenade is still similar enough as are many other areas of the ship... theater, ice rink, MDR, WJ, etc. EDIT: Just saw you were on Freedom in your signature. It will feel very similar to Freedom, just a bit smaller. Freedom class is really just a stretched out version of Voyager class.
