  1. They don't look for a CLIA #, just your name, date of test, and "negative." I used an online proctor with no CLIA # a few weeks ago, no issues.
  2. It varies greatly. My generous in laws got us that cabana and booked it well in advance when prices were lower. Think they paid $1699 or $1799. Closer to the cruise when only a few were left it got as high at $3499, then I saw $2499 I think. They're taking us on another family cruise next June and it recently opened at $3499! Weird that you don't have it available yet for January but who knows with RC?
  3. We just did one and the double visit was one of the main reasons. We loved it. Go for it!
  4. It depends on the ship. Some are RFID, some are magnetic.
  5. Yes, I took a formal survey b/c the eyeball test wasn't sufficient. And yes, I agree, it has not been done away with. It exists, you just should feel free to wear anything you want to it (within reason).
  6. And the majority onboard who agree with that so-called "vocal minority." Quote anything you want, post compasses, nitpick the verbiage... but the reality is cruisers should feel free to wear anything with which they are comfortable, within reason, on formal night.
  7. You won't be able to actually disembark until 8am or so. The regular lounge chairs by the pool (which you likely want to put your stuff on) will start to be claimed early but you should still be able to find a spot to your liking as long as you don't wait too long. Agree with the above comment about those in pool loungers. People won't sit there all day. We also enjoy sitting in the shade on the underwater bench mentioned above. Last trip, a large iguana decided to pop out from the trees/bushes and make his way to the edge of the pool by one of the bench spots and hang out for over an hour.
  8. A staff member told my wife that the current was taking people into the rocks. I believe kayaks can still get there but same issue. I think my wife saw sting rays by the cannons last month.
  9. No worries there. It looked like a virtual mosh pit in front of the DJ in the pool last month. Not my thing but that's what great about Cococay. You can chill on multiple beaches, snorkel, party at the pool, or chill at the pool. We have a spot we like that's not too far from the pool bar and we can hear the music from a nice distance without being "in the party." Also a short walk to both a snack shack and Chill Grill, both of which I'm a huge fan.
  10. All together. They did away with separate areas many months ago.
  11. Chill Island, by the rocks on the way out to the shipwreck is where my wife saw the shark last month. Then continue out to the shipwreck if you want. She saw stingrays and fish there. There are lifeguards and staff members to ask who will be happy to direct you.
  12. Go to your set sail pass in the app and you should see "add to your apple wallet." You can actually then just hit preview to see the numbers if you don't want to actually add it.
  13. And of course factor in the enjoyment of the short cruise itself. You're not just buying points when you do this; you do get to go on an extra cruise. 😁
  14. Correct. Go for the shorty to get to Diamond!
  15. We did the same thing while sitting on 76 points. Took the cheapest 4-nighter we could find. Now we're 25 points away from D+ and have 14 pts coming next June so we've been trying to find a way to get 11 nights in between now and then even though we generally can only cruise in the summers. It's not as big of a jump as Emerald to Diamond, of course, but it has perks we're looking forward to and who doesn't get impatient when you're close to the next level?
  16. I've booked many GTY's. It can be any time, but there's a trick to finding out your assignment early that usually works. Method 1. If you have an apple device, add your set sail pass to your apple wallet. Numbers will now appear under your bar code. The numbers after the dash represent your cabin. Method 2. Scan the bar code with a QR scanner from another device and that should also show you the numbers. Hope this helps.
  17. When she goes snorkeling I'm usually under an umbrella having my first frozen drink of the day, lol, so I can't vouch for either shark. She said they looked very different from each other and googled what sharks can be found in the Bahamas. And on that note, I'll go back to trying to convince her to take a few days off work next month so we can hop back on Indy for my birthday! 🤣
  18. Yeah, seems to be a pretty common siting. My wife concluded it was a nurse shark. We were also there in late May in an OTW cabana and our attendant told us in advance that lemon sharks are often in that area... sure enough my wife saw one of those that day.
  19. There's a map in the app and I have no idea how you didn't find the pool there... it's the largest pool in the Caribbean! Sorry you had a bad time. We went on an Indy B2B just before your cruise and getting to go to Cococay twice was one of the reasons. We absolutely love it there! Wife goes snorkeling on Chill Island 1st thing and has never complained about the beach. She even saw a shark and a mommy/baby sting ray last month. Then we spend the rest of the day by the pool using our diamond vouchers for drinks and making numerous food runs as we absolutely love the included food there.
  20. Ours were expired based on the date in the box but not when the 3 months were added. No issues.
  21. 1. You can definitely use hers. 2. She can get unlimited free lattes in the DL unless the machine there isn’t to her liking.
  22. Just did my 1st B2B a couple weeks ago (also a 3 & 4-nighter) out of PC. 1) You will not have to test. 2) You can check with guest services to make sure but the system should automatically know you are consecutive cruisers. You will receive instructions in your cabin as far as what to do on TAD. 3) No need to pack. Just make sure your cabin attendant knows you’re on a B2B. You may or may not need to briefly disembark; it varies by port. FWIW, we met in a lounge at 8:45am, hung out for a bit, a crew member went around to check everyone in for the 2nd leg & give out new sea passes, we disembarked for maybe 15 mins, then returned to the ship & were free to roam. 24 people on a Freedom class ship was somewhere between cool & spooky, lol.
  23. Yes, those will cost significantly more unless you fudge with your insurance or RC changes their current requirements.
