We’ve done 2 TAs on Odyssey and have our 3rd next fall. Love that ship! -

Her and the drummer are very talented…..well……so are the dancers, and acrobats. I really like the show, but the whole beginning I could do without. -
POT smoking on balcony?
lovesthebeach2 replied to Mustang2015's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We’ve noticed smelling pot many times on local cruises from Florida. So far though, we’ve never noticed it on European or TA cruises… -
Current Captains Continued

Yes he told me when I asked him during the lunch with officers that he’s going to Utopia. He’s my favorite Captain. -
Since you’re a well seasoned cruiser, I would be interested in your solution. In all the years I’ve cruised I’ve never thought about or paid attention to tip threads…but I have been lately. I feel we want to change what we’re doing but would welcome your ideas. edit…. Or if you really won’t share your ideas (which I hope you will) then share how you approached guest services so that they gave you the info you needed to make a decision

I have in the past handed a tip to someone in the ladies room. She was vigorously scrubbing the stainless steel paper towel holder. I commented on how hard she was scrubbing and when she turned to tell me, I just felt terrible that she had to do this and gave her a tip. They all work so hard doing jobs that we don’t want to do

I only go see it for the dancing, acrobatics and drumming. I have no idea what it’s about -

While it’s ok for kids of all ages to watch, on Odyssey last month a woman brought in 3 very small children, one about a year old and the other two no older than 5, and they were a bit loud to those nearby because they were children being normal. It’s not a show geared towards children, although certainly kid friendly. -
There were over 4100 total passengers on the ship. We only went to the DL HH once during the cruise. Like others, we like going to the bars (Schooner mostly) to get drinks and since we had early dining, we didn’t want to go to DL to get tempted to eat snacks before. the only snag for most was getting coffee in the morning. They opened up 3 other ways to get coffee and still had huge lines. We just got there early enough and a couple of times went to the other places. They gave us all a coffee voucher to our seapass every day and the guy in Cafe 270 was giving us the real large cup because he said since we were D+ we could get it…..that sounded odd to me, but I didn’t argue 😁

Multiple medical emergencies Anthem
lovesthebeach2 replied to sadiwest's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Last year on Odyssey TA to Rome, on day two the captain diverted the ship to PR to drop off a woman that had fallen in the theatre and we heard broke her leg. Her family had to get off too, we saw them all getting off at the pier. -
We once talked with a guy in the suite lounge that said he made Pinnacle from gambling comped cruises. At least that’s what he told us.

when we were on Serenade in February, we did this tour. The emerald place was a total waste of our time, obviously they wanted us to buy emeralds…. The people selling things became very aggressively annoying, so every time I saw them coming towards me I just turned my back to them. I don’t like being rude, but I had no choice. i would never do any tour there again…..and yes, it was very not and we’re from Florida and used to heat.
