  1. we usually go get the cards as soon as the rooms open. We have had the wrong cards delivered to us more than once, so we get them as soon as we can. When we received the wrong cards, I brought them to GS.
  2. They worked for us. I had one in each suitcase.
  3. if you don’t want to hang on the beach or do the couple of $$ things like zip, then IMO stay on the ship. The one time we were in a GS and allowed on that beach, the food was the same stuff that’s on the other beaches, and it’s not good. Again, my opinion. I had been told we would get upgraded food, we didn’t that time. The food had flies buzzing around and landing on the burgers, salad and everything else that wasn’t in a sealed container. We do like the beach but don’t eat there anymore. We stay in the morning and leave at lunchtime and eat in WJ.
  4. Funny I always thought wifi was not available on the island….coco cay yes, Labadee no
  5. no option for us, we sail 1 week from today. They changed the ports and that’s the least of our concern. Our hearts are broken for the people of Israel.
  6. That’s what I see too…we have cruises as far out as Mar 2025.
  7. S Im so sorry for you all. Please stay safe. I’ll finally get to meet you next year on the Bella cruise.
  8. Thanks Dani. Visiting the Holy Land had been a lifelong dream for me. Sadly that won’t be fulfilled. I feel for all who live there and am so sorry. 🙏
  9. our reservations came back a bit later. At the time all our reservations for other cruises were still there, only this cruise were they removed. But they did show up a bit later
  10. For those booked on the Odyssey next week, I just noticed they removed ALL my upcoming reservations from the APP. That suggests changes coming.
  11. We’ve done it twice. Once many years ago when it had to stop in Mexico for the foreign port stuff, and they bussed us back to San Diego. I don’t think it was advertised as a repo cruise though. Again this was very long time ago and for us it was 7 day cruise to all the islands. It was fabulous. We got to go into Volcano National Park, which you can’t do now Then in 2019 we did it this time to Vancouver. Again, we did a 7 night around the islands, all of them and although they no longer let you in the park, we still got plenty of volcanic stuff in the tour. And got to go to Lahaina and do the best Luau with over 100 other passengers. I’m sure that’s gone too.The sea days back to Vancouver were fine, although it got chilly as we got closer. we won’t do another Hawaii cruise because it’s not what it was in the past. It’s not 7 days of all the islands, and now that Lahaina won’t be a stop for a long time, it’s not worth it to us. I don’t k ow if you just asked because you wanted to get to Vancouver, but if it’s to see Hawaii….then I won’t do it.
  12. Our cruise is already going to Limassol, I wonder where else they can take us. They already had added Santorini, which we’ve been to and didn’t plan to get off. Have they told you how you can book excursions to these new ports?
  13. I won’t ever book a Holy Land trip again and I wouldn’t be surprised if Royal stops sailing there. It’s sad, because this was the highlight of this trip for us.
  14. I’m exactly the same as your wife and I like to think of myself as more selective. We rarely go out to eat at home because I cook. I don’t eat red meat at all and not much other meat, and in looking at the remaining choices on the menus, they’re just not appealing. Too much gravies to cover up the bland taste.
  15. Bring shampoo and conditioner, the stuff in the shower is not good for hair at all.
  16. I agree there’s no rule that children can’t be sitting at the bar. I personally would have never taken my children to a bar and have them sit AT the bar, (actually I never went to bars) but a bar on a cruise ship isn’t the same as a land based bar…usually…and if it’s not later when some adults have had a few too many. And although the crew can’t do anything, I’m sure they would rather have an adult sitting there ordering drinks that they get tipped for, than children coloring with them getting no 18% tips. EDIT to add, children sitting IN a bar is perfectly fine IMO, but if I had small ones and adults were getting to rowdy, I wouldn’t want them to see that.
  17. Same here on our Panama excursion in Colon. The bus driver drove like a crazy man trying to get us back to the ship, but we were so late, we just grabbed some food from the WJ (clearly we missed dinner we were that late) grabbed a couple of glasses of wine, and went back to our cabin to take well deserved showers, and never left for the night. We’re not gamblers and ALWAYS take ship excursions .
  18. My husband LOVES the carbonara too! It’s the best we ever had!
  19. Gio’s wouldn’t let you do that with one precooked and using the BOGO? I remember you asking that awhile ago and was curious how you made out
  20. We’ve only been to Chops a couple of times in the past…..pre shutdown. I wasn’t impressed at all. I don’t eat steak , so I would order the salmon, which I will only eat if it’s rare. Both times I made sure the server knew that’s how I wanted it and that’s not what I got….so back it went. Got a new one, also way over cooked. I give up. We love Giovanni’s Table. And honestly, we also like Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen too, but if both were on the same ship (yes I know that’s ridiculous) we would choose Gio’s Table.
  21. He was definitely very well educated on anything Royal…..too bad he doesn’t pop in to just say hi
  22. I wonder if it made a difference that when we did it we were in Europe.
