I use it for that too. last few cruises there really has been all that much in mine. I was surprised recently when we were charged for 2 diet cokes when we were in a SS on the Ascent..I thought was a bit much...but I guess those are the rules. I meant to stop by a bar and get 2 cans to replace the ones we drank...but I forgot...I could understand if we raided any and all liquor etc in the minibar...but charging someone that small amount while they are in a suite doesn't make much sense to me, 7 bucks or so.

I leave $5 a night in my hotel room, they can choose to keep it, or pool it..I don’t care. I cruised during the envelope days, half empty MDR’s were common on the last night..

The 18% is based on the price of the package you bought…that is distributed to the bar staff accordingly…doesn’t matter if you drink zero drinks or 20 a day. Yes, this thread is full of doubters and folks who want to not tip.

IF you don't use things, you won't be charged... I don't see the point in giving my attendant extra work for something that is directly controllable by me. YMMV.

Lets hear some options for 3-4 day cruises out of Florida? Easy to complain (well, not for some), harder to come up with alternatives.

The ship is beautiful, sailed her this past January..booked again Jan of 2026 for a 10 day Southern Caribbean, SV... The crew was calling the Octopus "Ocho".. The night glitter party at the pool was my favorite, reminds me I need to step up my game on my outdoor sound system....they do a good job with the silent disco too.

Only difference is the Casino came into play at some point...I can't pass a craps table with action going on. 🙂 Thus I think I would be bored stiff on the large yachts people keep crowing about here. I'll charter my own boat in the Caribbean if I want to sail with 10 people. Choices are good..I do agree the Retreat is not for me...the Retreat Lounge reminds me of a Dr's waiting room...the pool/sundeck on the E class ships is nice...I have much more enjoyed my Yacht Club cruises over my Retreat cruises..the YC is just a more inviting area to me. Lounge/breakfast/lunch buffets by the pool are all very appealing to me.

I obviously didn’t venture far, I did see the zip line overhead…I guess my comments were based on comparing it to Coco Cay..our 5 day on Royal hit both of those ports on the short cruise..I enjoyed Labadee better…it also helped that we weren’t joined by an Oasis Class ship 2 hours after we arrived. I hope they are able to keep it safe..

Funny how folks view things differently…I never saw the vendor area, never looked for it either, had a very relaxing laid back beach day there on a Royal Cruise last May,,,drink package worked fine, hot dogs and burgers were set up under a pavilion…
