  1. Also, they didn’t charge sales tax or service charge on the bottles.
  2. If you got to drink all you wanted at meals why buy any alcohol package!
  3. Anyone do this Celebrity excursion?
  4. Anyone do this excursion on Celebrity?
  5. Have they changed the time when Constellation arrives back in port to help alleviate the fog issue?
  6. I haven’t tried it however that is my understanding. Bring any documentation that you get with the wine to the dining room just in case they ask.
  7. I just ordered a bottle of Red Pinot Noir. It was an acceptable price (I figure a 50% markup over retail price). I would also like to know how this works.
  8. In one of the regular cabins is there a way to connect an Android phone to the TV to watch movies (either streaming if the internet is good or saved on the phone)? If there is a way, exactly what do I need to bring in the way of cables? Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
  9. Personally, unless you have successfully done it before I wouldn't risk one of my dress shirts with their laundry. As an experiment, while at home you might want to take an OLD shirt and wash it on hot and then through it into the dryer on hot and see if it survives.
  10. Not worried about getting there. It is the getting back I want to be sure about.
  11. I am OK with a taxi as long as it is easy to get back (eg, taxis/shuttles routinely run back and forth).
  12. Just looking for a place to sit and relax on the beach for a few hours to a day. We will be in port on Celebrity in early February. Not looking for too much: 1) easy to get to and back 2) nice sand and a beach chair and umbrella 3) will probably put our feet in the water but no real heavy-duty swimming 4) some decent food available for purchase, we are not really big drinkers so lots of booze is not important The cruise line is offering an excursion to Isla de Pasion however it sounds like it is a bit away from the cruise port so not sure if it is worth it. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. The drink packages at current prices probably doesn’t make sense for you however you have to do the pricing to see if it does. ie, how many espresso drinks a day, how many fancy teas a day (regular tea is included, fancy tea is extra), smoothies, sodas, bottled water. Considering the convenience of a package the breakeven for us is about $18 a day for nonalcoholic and about $30 a day for classic alcohol package. Over that we pay as you go.
  14. What do you mean by party? It depends on the sailing however Celebrity has never impressed me as a "party" cruise line.
  15. I had this problem and had to call. In my case I had cancelled an excursion and finally some months later they actually refunded the money however for some reason only known to their IT department they deducted it from my cruise payments and showed a balance due. It took about 45 minutes after I got through for them to fix it.
  16. Personally I like Summit but I don’t think it would meet your needs.
  17. It really depends on how much you drink. For us the math just doesn’t work at current prices.
  18. The only option for my cruise is Premium.
  19. How is Internet access on Celebrity Constellation? The last time I had internet access was on Summit in 2022 years ago and it was terrible. I am looking at the Black Friday deal for Constellation WiFi and the price is OK but only if the Internet access is decent.
  20. You also need to find out if you booked All Included.
  21. Have the cruise ships changed their return schedules to avoid the Tampa fog? IE, do they arrive in the wee hours in the morning?
  22. On the laundry forms I have never seen an option for cold water and hang dry. You could try and ask however the often-quoted statement "boil and bake" comes to mind when referring to the laundry service on Celebrity. I think there may be an option for pressing clothes. I have not used it. On my upcoming cruise there are options to prebuy Laundry Wash & Press ($64) and/or Premium Dry Cleaning ($45).
  23. It depends on when you board the ship. If you board early then the buffet is a good option. After a while it gets to be a zoo.
  24. I ordered off menu on Royal a couple of times (Indian food). I don't think they made it for me specifically. I assume that it was a menu item somewhere. The only cruise line that I know of where they regularly make off menu items is Cunard and only in a Grills suite. However, the worst they can say is no.
