  1. Wow, I honestly did not know there were “rules”. Perhaps these “rules” should be displayed at entry to the venue🤔
  2. So are you saying we shouldn’t get on the dance floor unless we can follow the rules?
  3. Probably not a word but looking at trying to book a suite on Arcadia in Jan ‘25. We only want to do the Southampton-San Francisco segment which is currently sold out in a full suite. These suites are, however available on longer segments. Does anyone have any experience of if and when they segmentise(?) further?
  4. Yes, I was able to get it, possibly how you ask for it helps!
  5. Think you need to change the title to buy anything anywhere! If you bought something in B&Q and the next day the price had dropped would you be so annoyed?!
  6. I wonder if you add a Cunard flight to your cruise if that would give you any more protection?
  7. The only thing I found poor was the distance (or lack of it) between some of the tables for two. This was on QE, don’t know if QM2 is different. We did a back to back moving from PG to QG and couldn’t believe we were packed in so tightly in QG compared to PG. Found even more space in Britannia Club! Apart from that (and the wifi!) everything was amazing.
  8. The Moxy is fine too, Marriott brand so very good bed, right next to the PI. £5 parking.
  9. My OH got theirs back in 16 days from the digital check and send at the post office. Having a chat when we had it back and they said that theirs were sent to Glasgow and there was no delay but others that were sent to Durham were experiencing big delays.
  10. That’s a brave call, to find a perfect holiday with a guarantee of nothing going wrong. Good luck!
  11. I guess, reading all these comments, the obvious thing would be for P&O to try it on one or two ships first. Then they would know how popular/unpopular/profitable it would be.
  12. Just out of interest has anyone experienced any passport checks in Europe during a cruise? I’ve done the canaries and Spain/Portugal this winter and no checks.
  13. He used the phrase “major refit”.
  14. Spend $200m and get a feee climbing wall😂
  15. I guess as the orders dry up there is potential for a few bargains at the shipyards too!
  16. Don’t know if this is new news but Mr Ludlow just announced in a video tweeted that Aurora and Arcadia will both have major refits in the next two years. I know these ships are very popular with cruise critickers.
  17. Just noticed some (4) excursions have been added to Luxor. Nothing yet for Salalah and the Luxor excursions don’t actually include any trips to Luxor!
  18. Where are you flying to? You could catch a flight from Southampton itself, for example there’s an Aer Lingus to NYC via Dublin that lease at 1255pm. Additional advantage of doing immigration in Dublin.
  19. The extra benefit is in the price you pay. How much extra would you pay in order to have evening turn down?
  20. When I saw it briefly the other day it was top right where it says “hello ….”
  21. I was on Azura in November and I assume Ventura will be the same. It will be very different by the sounds of it, certainly no alcohol, although the staff will go to the bar for you. Just water and a couple of juices. Boxed breakfast and lunches all cold options (meant to be !). Afternoon tea also available. I think if you pay for retreat on Ventura/Azura you are paying for the peaceful area. It was very quiet in the Canaries. Hopefully now there are drinks available on the big ships this might filter down?
  22. Interestingly(?) I was logging in the other day and it was struggling (not new) and just showing a pretty blank page with just the top line of the page. Bizarrely top right showed something like “Status Gold”. So I guess the data is there they just chose not to show it normally. Never seen that before or since. I have found the Cunard World team the quickest to respond of anywhere in Carnival house.
  23. We were alongside on MSC Preziosa a few years back.
  24. Yes, definitely agree with this, separate “freedom” dining in the MDR for suite guests is a great idea.
  25. There’s room for both, a great loyalty scheme can be a benefit to both passenger and company, I’m intrigued to know what would drive people to book. @Denarius Can you honestly say that if, for example, you had 4 cruises booked and if you were to book an additional cruise it would get you a free cruise the next year you wouldn’t be interested?
