Thanks for your input. A car service would be nice, but it is pricey. I will check a price on Princess transfers. I know a few weeks ago there was a problem with Princess not providing transfers that were booked and paid for from Laguardia to the ship. Folks ended up having to get an Uber or taxi per Cruise Critic posts. Hopefully, this has been corrected/resolved.

Any recent cruisers' experience/suggestions to get picked up at Brooklyn cruise terminal and driven to Laguardia? Are taxis readily available at Brooklyn cruise terminal? If yes, where do you go to get one when you get off the ship? Are Ubers fairly easy to order without a long wait? We will have 4 passengers on a Saturday with afternoon flights. Is it better to get off the ship (Princess) as late as possible--9 a.m. for easier taxi or Uber puck up (less congestion/people waiting? I did check with Dial 7 car service and they quoted me $186 which I believe is much more expensive compared to a taxi or Uber? There have been some postings by other Cruise Critic members that it is difficult to get a cab or Uber with so many people needing one at one time at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. Recent experience/suggestions are appreciated. It seems much easier to get a taxi or Uber from Laguardia to the ship, correct? Thanks in advance.

We are on the same sailing and are not able to access the wellness questionnaire yet. We just get a blank page when trying to assess it.

I would like to get back our limited free internet minutes as a perk. They were sufficient for our needs. Now we get a discount (in obc) to buy unlimited internet. It would be nice to give us a choice of what internet perk we receive instead of taking away a free perk that we actually used.

The date we are looking for a hotel is for October 14th for one night pre-cruise with a stay, park and shuttle rate because we are driving to the area. We are sailing out of Brooklyn Cruise Terminal on the Enchanted Princess. Thanks for any input/suggestions!

Thanks for the suggestion of Hampton Inn, Ridgefield Park, NJ. It sounded great. I called and they unfortunately only go to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. We are sailing on Princess out of Brooklyn cruise terminal. If anyone know of a similar hotel and stay, park and go package, please let me know. We need one night pre-cruise, parking for 7 nights and a shuttle to Brooklyn cruise pier. Breakfast would be an extra plus. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Princess refused to extend our goodwill fcc. Our travel agent tried his best.. We have decided to go on an October New England - Canada cruise. I am excited to go on a new itinerary.

Thanks, everyone. Yes, we will need to book airfare, so thanks for letting us know we can use fcc for airfare booked through Princess. It sounds like a great itinerary and it would be on a new ship for us.

Thanks everyone! Yes, we have a travel agent. I called him and he called Princess and he was also told no to an extension of the goodwill fcc. I just thought I would call myself. We could potentially do an October New England/Canada cruise out of NYC mid-October on Enchanted. We have not done a New England cruise. Has anyone sailed on this 7 day itinerary cruise--Newport, Boston, Bar Harbor, Saint John and Halifax? Thoughts? Input? Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. I will follow your advice and call Princess again and talk to another customer service representative to see if they will extend our fcc to let us use it to pay the balance for our 1/7 cruise. It is worth a try!

We have a fcc that is a goodwill credit expiring 12/31/22. We have a cruise booked leaving on 1/7/23. I just spoke with a Princess customer service representative and asked for an extension of the fcc to use for payment of the January 7th cruise. She said they never extend goodwill fcc. Any success getting this type of fcc extended? Very frustrating.

We are staying in E433 balcony on the Sky on the January 7th sailing. It sounds like a good choice for an obstructed balcony. Any other cruisers past experience in this cabin or area?

What are your recommendations to get from Port Everglades to a Miami hotel on a Saturday? Considering Aloft, Miami Airport, for a one night stay before next morning flight. Thoughts? Sas Shuttle does not pick up at Port Everglades. Howard's Transport charges $130 for 2 passengers. Any recent cruisers experience as to what transportation they used? Suggestions? Recommendations? Uber, shuttle, ship transfer (Holland America), or car rental? Thanks in advance for input/advice.

I take prescription Meclizine, 25 mg., as needed. It is fairly inexpensive (I believe around $6 for 30 pills). It works for me if the seas are a bit rough. I did not care for the taste of the chewable Bonnie tablets. I used the Scopamine (sp?) patches my first cruise and felt very dehydrated (very thirsty) the entire cruise. We have stayed mid ship and aft and both locations were fine for me. I would not choose to stay on the front of the ship because I have heard you feel the most movement at that location.

Thanks for the description and pictures of bitterballen and kroketten. They look delicious. I will definitely try them on our November Nieuw Statendam cruise. We sailed on this ship once and really liked it. We did not get to eat at The Dutch Cafe the previous cruise. It was closed when we went by it. I need to make note of the hours it is open.

Interested in a HAL shuttle from Port Everglades to Miami if there is one? What is the shuttle like? A van? Cost? How do you book it? Sailing out of Port Everglades and returning there, but booked a direct flight out of Miami the day after our ship returns because we can't make the Saturday flight. Any hotel recommendations near Miami Airport? Thanks in a advance.
