  3. Actually there were two written questions relating to this area They were: Q Will we get credit for previous sailings on old Crystal for the recognition program? A From Crystals sales manager - New Crystal did get the database of former Crystal, so we do know how many times guests have sailed and we will continue to honor the perks of the old program. We're using the 2019 Crystal Society program as to the perks. Q Will Crystal have a loyalty program and will the new Crystal honor past milestones? Two answers were given A Yes. Crystal Society will continue and past milestones are recorded in your account. A While "unused" milestones from the past cannot be honored, the count of voyages continue as you work towards future milestones to redeem

  5. As per my link to their other thread in my post above they said “Considering doing an Alaska on the 21st, that is 10 days from now. Can't book for another 2 days till I get all the ducks lined up” That seems very clear to me as to their current status
  6. So do we know what was actually done during this dry dock? Hopefully they cleaned the upholstery on the chairs in the restaurants as some chairs were in desperate need of that, but interested in what else, if anything, was done in public areas. I wonder what areas were recarpeted?
  7. When I pay Regent I do it through my TA - they process it using my credit card but the charge is made directly by Regent - my TA never has access to my funds. Ask your new agent how they handle payment I would be uncomfortable paying the TA and relying on them to then pay Regent in due course
  8. Exactly! I really can’t see what all the drama is about - you’re in port - disembark early and find a spot to make the Zoom call - it’s hardly an unusual situation
  9. I believe it’s taken from the Shangri-La
  10. This was not mentioned at all
  11. The exact written answer given by Crystal’s Senior VP of Marketing was “ Yes, dance instructors will be back with even more options (e.g., Ballroom, Salsa, etc.)” another question was when will the dancing times be? - the answer by a Crystal sales manager was “1 will get the official times, but they will be ample, as with open dining, guests go to dinner when they wish, so the dance times are long enough for all to be able to dance before dinner.”
  12. The exact answer given in writing by a TA representative was “Crystal is excited to announce that they will be coming out soon!”
  13. That would be advertising a TA wouldn’t it? I’ve sent you a link to it along with a copy of all the written Q&A’s - it was interesting how many of the answers (even from Crystal staff) were inconsistent with info already released and published
  14. Thanks for the tip - I’d never have thought of that So it’s unreasonable to expect new Crystal to do things professionally? I suspect the management of new Crystal have higher standards than you seem to find acceptable Btw - 14 days til I do just what you suggest - bags out and ready to be packed
  15. I’d prefer that Crystal did a professional job and published this information on their website in a timely manner so all guests could access it - just like their predecessor did This drip feed release through a customer is not what I’d consider professional or appropriate - or even effective when it comes to the majority of guests CC reach is minimal when it comes to the total number of guests
  16. Not correct at all - only the included wines and spirits are available without charge - there is a seperate list which will include the Charles Heidsick champagne is available to purchase - unless there has been a change with new Crystal over what old Crystal offered as part of inclusive
  17. Asuka II is getting a refit https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2023/05/asuka-ii-2023-voyages-and-refit-revealed/
  18. Our TA requested the same and they failed to do so and now won’t provide the luggage labels (I’m not interested in the paper ones but as it’s our first Viking cruise I would have liked the leatherette ones) Can you share specifically where it reflects your TAs request for the docs to go to you on the Guest Invoice?
  19. and with new Crystal too…. Make no mistake as a cruise line they are a startup They had two ships (which needed major refurbishments to make them marketable) and a customer database and a tarnished brand No back end systems or staff - just two examples of the major hurdles they faced in getting up and running
  20. Just like the Vintage Room on Crystal - it’s an option some will choose to enjoy
  21. Posted by Crystal Cruises today
  22. You can order room service items to be delivered and served anywhere that you want on the ship (obviously that is appropriate to eating - I wouldn’t get it delivered to the gym! - you’re certainly not limited to having it in your room. My recollection is that the room service menu is very extensive so that solves that problem Just ask your butler for the options
  23. It’s a simple enough question relating your statement - is it fact or opinion that “old Crystal had the highest retention rate”? It’s certainly an interesting claim and I’m sure others would be interested in learning what backs it up if it is indeed a factual statement - but it’s your choice whether you decide to validate it or not
  24. Is that a fact or opinion/speculation. If it’s a fact then what is the supporting source? As to how many crew are returning I’m still not sure if it’s some, many, most etc - all these “numbers” have been mentioned by one poster - so I’m confused to as to what it will actually turn out to be - but no matter it could be any of these and one fact is that time will tell 😉 I too would like to see official responses and input by authorised Crystal staff as opposed to hearsay or reported comment - who knows maybe one day that will occur - in the meantime many of us will utilise various sources - both official and unofficial. One thing I would not do is rely on reported information from anyone not employed by Crystal - it may lead to disappointment when quoted back to Crystal (caveat emptor)
