  1. I would love to hear from Chengp75 or the like. I believe, after reading several blogs, this site and the other social media platform, that this is newer technology. Meaning if you're on an older ship it's unlikely to be true unless the ship has somehow been retrofitted.
  2. @plethera1 There are menus with prices. If I want something not on the menu, I simply ask 1) can they make it/do they have it 2) the price.
  3. How large of a group? Ages? Is everyone mobile on their own? Lots of things to consider. I like the above idea of a scavenger hunt on the ship. Makes it easy for all ages/mobility levels. If you haven't already, link the reservations if you'd like to have dinner together in the evenings.
  4. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water, try for a minimum of 60oz of water per day. Also, timing of your meals could also cause gut disruptions. I try to eat as close to "normal" times as possible.
  5. Before you can link a reservation with yours, you will need some basic information about each person's reservation: Reservation number Last name Date of birth Once you're ready, you can link reservations together in one of three ways: Have your travel agent do it for you Call Royal Caribbean and have them do it Do it yourself online If you want to do this on your own, you and them can log onto the Royal Caribbean website. Just below your reservation information, you should see a button that says Have a Reservation? Click the blue Add a Cruise button. This will take you to the Link A Cruise page. It will ask you for the Surname (Last Name) of the person you want to link, their date of birth, and their reservation number. Click Continue. From there, it should locate their reservation and give you the option to link their reservation with your cruise! Now you are all set! Your Main Dining Room table reservations will be set together. You’ll also have access to each other so that you can pay for each other’s excursions and other Cruise Planner items.
  6. I am loving your review. As, someone with their roots in WV (Mom grew up in Ripley and my dad in Kenna) it's fun to travel along with you! I am another Tudor's fan 🤤
  7. @Weluv2cruise2gether The RCCL gift cards/certificates are an upgraded level and you have to be an AARP member to buy them. As of today there are two options a $100 card for $90 or a $500 card for $450. Screenshots below:
  8. I have taken all kinds of different supplements (vitamins/minerals), migraine medication, sinus medicine, etc. in pill and powder form in sandwich baggies, pill sorters, pill bottles, etc. and NEVER had TSA question a thing. If I was taking prescribed medication I would carry in the original packaging from my pharmacy.
  9. I am also on board with Nachi Cocum. Visited there in January 2019 as a solo cruiser. Below is the part of my review that involved Nachi Cocum. "Day 2 was our day in Cozumel. I was up and off early. I spent most of the day at Nachi Cocom Beach Club. I booked this outside of Carnival. They handed me a glass of Prosecco and showed me to a lounger under a palapa. I laid there for about 45 minutes. I then headed to the pool/spa area. It was fun. In addition to the Prosecco and a few Miami Vice, I got a chicken quesadilla that was very good. Wait staff was not around much. Had to go to the bar to get most of my beverages."
  10. @stealtown I am also currently set to sail Voyager August 2023. I check prices daily. They have ranged from $53.99/day to today's high of $70.99/day.
  11. Some people tip per person, some per bag, some per person and bag and some just a flat % since it's a flat fee per leg. I personally think $5 - $10 per person is appropriate (for normal/routine service) unless someone has more than one bag.
  12. @GJustice Is the description below the same as it was for you? 1. Panama Canal & IMAX Experience Overview Take a virtual trip through the Panama Canal with an IMAX experience before exploring the former Canal zone and learning its history. Highlights Visit Panama's first IMAX theater and settle in for "Panama Canal in 3D: A Land Divided, a World United," a spectacular, 3-D documentary that takes you from the days Conquistadores struggled through a water-soaked quagmire to the engineering achievement that established the canal as revolutionary in shipping and tropical medicine. Enjoy free time at the IMAX experience and a panoramic tour of the Old Canal Zone to learn more about the canal's history.
  13. @BirdTravels So the US Embassy in Honduras (that I linked above) is incorrect? Or does RC have some negotiation around that? I'm just curious how it can be different, not trying to be argumentative-simply curious.
  14. I'm booked on A2S for an August 17 cruise. I logged into my United App and chose my seats. I have not made any payment other than my cruise deposit. I am even able to upgrade through the app if I'd like. Although, not all the way to First Class 🙂
  15. I hope you let Royal know directly as who knows if they monitor Cruise Critic....
  16. I read that is someone is unvaccinated they need the negative test. https://hn.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/#:~:text=COVID-19 Test%3A Passengers who, test results at check-in.
  17. I need to clarify...I was in the Mexican Riviera and my cell phone plan includes Mexico. I was able to use my phone as a "hot spot" to my laptop then use the VPN. Maybe that's a work around for you? Some mobile carries offer a "travel plan" for like $10-$25. For example, Verizon Wireless is $10/day in 210 countries unlimited talk/data.
  18. @cruisin73 I prefer my own so I just have those little travel bottles and fill with my preferred brand. They don't take up much space at all. Similar to these.
  19. Have you looked at the roll call for your sailing? Might give you a bit of an idea of cruise makeup.
  20. I believe on the Royal in January 2020 I used Cisco AnyConnect a few times as required by my company when using my work computer on any network that is not our own.
  21. I concur with all of the above. I would email mbayley with what you mentioned in your original post and include a spreadsheet with dates and amounts paid and via which method. Then include the same for refunds. I would also attach receipts and supporting documents you may have from RCCL to support the payments and refunds. Please make sure you are polite/courteous, concise and clear. As the Executive Assistant to a CEO, I assure you those things matter.
  22. The fine print says "up to Diamond Plus". I understand that to mean they will become DP but not Pinnacle.
  23. Youth attain the status as their parents after their first completed cruise. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/crown-and-anchor-society-benefit-grid.pdf Fine print: "Children share the same tier (up to Diamond Plus) as their parent until age 18. Children of Pinnacle Club members enjoy select onboard benefits of their parents, however, not the tier. Children will be removed of a relationship with a parent or guardian upon their 18th birthday. If it is found that a dependent or child is not immediately removed from a relationship upon their 18th birthday and accumulates a higher tier status outside of this time period, the dependent's record will be adjusted back to the appropriate tier status."
  24. My nephews, here in VA, were out Monday (Lunar New Year) and Tuesday (Teacher Planning) this week. So, they left Friday for a ski trip and came home yesterday...
