  1. JMHO but I think we're overthinking this. 1. Its supposed to be 1st bottle per adult per voyage for no charge, $20 charge for every bottle over that 2. Previous T&C stated no fortified wine but that was omitted 3. Table is manned less frequently after introduction of Plus / Premier fares so perhaps its gone away. Actually I personally haven't seen one this year. Has anyone seen the wine table at boarding or when returning to the ship after the introduction of Standard / Plus / Premier fares?
  2. True. If you cancel your existing booking Not necessarily. My CVP does a 'lift & shift' with EZAIR, excursions, and specialty dining. From the old booking # to the new booking #. If she can, they all should be able to (i know she's very good but my retired one could do it also so it's not new ..... last done earlier this year .... just requires a few coordinated steps)
  3. I checked to see if you're US or Australia bc the website is different: $20 + nothing about fortified wine. Maybe I'll try bringing port next week to see what happens Now a dose of reality. I take 1 bottle on per week & took 2 off last week. No one has checked since restarted. I owed last week & forgot to find the desk to pay for the 2nd bottle brought on in Santa Barbara & traded mini bar for another bottle
  4. No need to stand in line. Just walk up right before you're going to bed one night and there is usually no one waiting CrewChat goes to Guest Services so just shoot them a msg.
  5. It was only origami on my cruise last week. Hoping for more options in a month (TA was origami, wind chimes, banners, door hangers, beads, art)
  6. I'm going to be bummed if they ask me to pay for crafting on the Hawaii cruise in a month. I've never paid a fee for that on other voyages Supposedly fitness classes have a fee attached but there wasn't anyone / anyway to record who was there last week
  7. @mellon1 I learned that about a month ago on Cruise Critic!!
  8. Can the tissue supplied by the ship be flushed?
  9. How about Azamera and Oceania ships - which have about 650 passengers? You might try something different from these new mob-scene Walmarts of the Seas Thats also about the size of the 1970s Princess ships per Wikipedia
  10. Yeah. Can I say I was lied too as well?? I want a refund bc I was promised only unattached tanned muscular men but I got obese married men in baggy shorts.
  11. On our last cruise, I gave away the unopened cc mini bottle of wine to a lady who had a cabin down the hall from us. We got talking with her on the way back to our cabin, and I asked her if they drank wine. She said yes, so I asked her if she'd like our bottle. You had a mini bottle of wine?? Nice!! I'd swap for 2 mini bottles of sparkling wine to add to orange juice if they'd let me. My choices were just full bottles. If I can't trade 1 for OBC then I'll see if I can trade both for 375ml sparkling wine. Or just give it away to some one
  12. is that a current fleetwide 'unannounced' perk? - or a one off (for any reason - broken token machine, etc) There wasn't anything wrong with the machines nor an unusual delay in getting laundry returned. Frankly I prefer cold wash and it doesn't take very long .... just like an hour and the load included 2 pr jeans, + a jean skirt so not lightweight material
  13. @PacnGoNow you're correct. 4/16/23 cruise from SF carried on 1 bottle & swapped for wine. Carried the bottle off, unopened. Took Bart home so didn't check a bag 5/27/23 carrying on 1 or 2 bottles of my favorite wine for a total of 21 days (b2b). Plan to swap for 1 bottle but hoping for OBC for 2nd mini bar. Otherwise tossing it out. Not checking a bag for free liquor. Took it home once, gave it to my son, he still has it unopened YEARS later. No idea how long the stuff is good for -- didn't bother carrying home cans of soda but that's just as useless for us
  14. How old am I? I like classical, jazz, blues, and rock. Just not heavy metal, swing, or hip hop New favs: Porter Robinson and Rafa (2023 Coachella)
  15. GSD gives elites free tokens for wash, dry, products plus i washed in cold water with 4 settings on dryers
  16. Hopefully this can be answered here. Would hate to start yet another new thread so here goes~~~~ For those who traded the minibar for OBC, how did you do it? Who did you ask? I traded for a bottle of wine but never opened it. Flying home next time & not checking luggage so a bottle of wine might not be opened. Want to trade for OBC Side note: price list on Post 403 was correct for Royal Princess last week but they couldn't charge me for the large pot Vanilla Mighty Leaf tea. LOL their lost ( should have been $2.38 inc tax)
  17. I'm certain they spent more money on those shows then on past ones but to me their aimed at a younger crowd. We've seen them all a number of times & will skip them on future trips and go for the more relaxed music in one of the lounges. I don't consider myself as part of the "younger crowd" but those 3 shows plus Secret Silk as the best ones I've seen onboard!!
  18. I had 3 full scale production shows on my last 3 cruises (Enchanted Princess 11/2022, Caribbean Princess 12/2022, & Royal Princess 4/2023) so I'd say "no significant change." In fact Secret Silk has over 1000 cues .... the opposite of a scaled down production
  19. E409-E425 is great, E403/ E404 & E433/E434 are okay as well, restricted view to 1 side. Basically those obstructions are looking down. But the other rooms have some version of an obstruction. Either the full tender or just part of it (front, back, top depending on tender size)
  20. According to https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/deckbydeck.php?ship=Royal-Princess-III&deck=8 there's a lifeboat in the way. Best to see if you can move to an obstructed one closer to.midship bump out .... no obstruction looking out just down. Also review rooms on Regal .... mirror cabin layout
  21. Yes the steward changed it out Appeared to be the same minibar selection as before but the wine swap list was shorter
  22. .you bought it on the ship no corkage to be charged Yes. I brought 2 on at embarkation & should've paid $20 for the 2nd one.
  23. I swapped for a bottle of wine yesterday. So now I have too much wine (3 bottles, they did not charge corkage for 2nd bottle)
  24. Thank you. Yes I know the drinks aren't free. I'm there more for the little nibbles. Thank you. Looking forward to horsdoeuvres, perhaps a glass of wine, and a quiet place to visit before dinner
