  1. So I should add a maxi bag of assorted chips to the chocolates for the take-one spot? I mention it once then leave it alone. It's sort of like water & fruit for the gardeners
  2. When I joined my bank 18 yrs ago they sent me 25 checks for joining. Still have 18 of them. Hope they don't expire, I might need 1 someday 🤑 A mobile card reader like square? Wouldn't you just zelle or venmo? Yeah ... my card says see ID but they've only looked at that in Southampton UK. Had to explain that that's the most common signature where I'm from. Ikea clerk wasn't happy about it But back to topic at hand:: in order to zelle or venmo a tip to crew i would need to access my bank onboard. Not doing that & no crew person has turned down cash or missed taking a chocolate if they're in my room.
  3. So Texas cruises are not full?? Eventually Galveston will fill up. I might see 1 or 2 a week in this area. (SF)
  4. I've gotten an excursion after waitlisting @Rick&Jeannie but (& @shopgirl151) I didn't have a time conflict with an existing booking. In fact I didn't even know i had it until I went into my excursions list to book an alternative and saw it there. It was ziplining with Adventure Camp in Alaska. You can cancel any excursion in your personalizer, not necessary to wait until onboard. Might free up a spot for another cruiser who's waitlisted for that one
  5. 1 latte in the morning + pot of tea in the afternoon is only $6 in the International Cafe. Less if you just want a small latte or drip. It's good coffee IMHO
  6. Well that answers the question about how many to buy on my April, May, and June cruises = 0. As in none. I'm booked out until April 2024
  7. So is that after you load $20 or after you've bet $20?
  8. There's a $10 voucher for the casino. (I was going to post but went back & deleted pic)
  9. The coffee & tea package does not exist anymore. It has been replaced by a Zero Alcoholic Beverages pkg at 29.99 + 18% tax / gratuities per day
  10. I didn't know they did that!! Thinking of family at another event not crew.
  11. 2 ways: > If refaring I'll use the chat line but CVP'd do it as well. I keep promos, ezair, shareholder obc, excursions, and add-ons as well as current booking #. > if rebooking because fare only applies to new bookings (this is becoming more common): I call my CVP to make sure that everything is lifted and shifted over so I don't lose anything in the process (ie: fare only applying to new bookings). I will lose previous promo but usually get a little OBC (although often less than before). Others use 1800Princess or their TA. I've never been able to do this on chat as it requires 2 bookings / same room until completed / guess it's complicated bc they need to also contact EZAIR & manually transfer everything So I call her and say something like: " hi ××! I see that ×××× dropped in price can you adjust it? "
  12. Thank you @possum52! Hoping Princess will have the shuttle otherwise I'll uber
  13. Thanks. Boarding Royal Princess 4/16/23. For those who are struggling with mobility I've taken a pedicab with little kids. $20 but sort of an adventure. Bart -> Embarcadero -> Pier 27 = about 1 hr & $2.40
  14. I love Port Arthur!!! Got off shuttle & walked to the right for a few miles along a gorgeous shore!! Breathtaking
  15. I've got 3 ports in Australia and only familiar with 1 (Sydney) on an upcoming cruise. How far is Port of Brisbane from city center (specifically City Cat)? Is there a tram like I had in Sydney in 2018 and Melbourne in 2019? Sounds like it's an industrial port so might not be pedestrian friendly. What about Darwin? Once I get mid city I can usually figure my way about
  16. So I'm the odd ball here. I have a bowl of Ghirardelli chocolates on the table. I invite the steward & room service to take. This is in addition to the cash for steward / waiter after cruise & room service with each delivery. (Waiter actually hugged me when I found him / tipped final morning. Guess no one does that anymore but I have assigned MDR wait staff). And I'm someone who does not tip Starbucks, Nick the Greek, Paneras type service
  17. @Calif Explorer Highlighted important info. I just sweated this despite my CVP having her super review my birth certificate and saying I was good to go. Passport Office was assured that IF I paid for expedited passport + express mailing + did not get it within 14 days of my cruise, I could try for an appointment in SF within 14 days of my trip. No idea where you live but those appointments are available in SF, LA, and San Diego State Dept Offices. Not in Sacramento or Stockton. Call 1st thing in the morning. Fortunately I got it after 7 weeks. But I can totally relate to your anxiety. @Lady Arwen is right: no Skagway White Pass excursion
  18. Yes. CBP considers that cruise from SF to Seattle Just to clarify: because this is not a closed loop cruise it needs a distant foreign port which Vancouver isn’t. So that's where the violation occurs.
  19. Just checked. My flight was at 11am. So yes @cruising922 it's more than do-able
  20. @trvlwrld if I don't get wine glasses from the steward, where do I get them?? I'm trading my mini bar for a bottle of wine so I'll need 4 glasses
  21. Sorry everyone, got lost in the weeds trying to figure out how to squeeze Rome in despite this would be my 4th time there.
