So strange .... this must be new. On 3/1/23 CVP rebooked my 6/1/23 Hawaii voyage with 100 FCD on it the day before final payment date. I lost the 200 shore excursion OBC but kept the FCD OBC. And netted $800.84 back to my Visa card. So it's not all voyages I guess I'm wondering how do we know if it's non-refundable? Will it always say when I put it on hold? Will my CVP be able to always make sure I'm only booking refundable? Will I be able to refare in the future? (Bookings: 3 past final payment date / 2 have rooms in sold out category [BW center of midship]). Is this just for "guarantee cabins?" things are changing

Note to self: save the FCD Confirmation screen in case i cancel a booking. Says something like this: I never hold them very long so that shouldn't be an issue OTOH I wonder if they are getting FCC & FCD confused agsin

Why were you canceling and rebooking rather than refaring??

We can hope. On one hand, we like the $1 deposits. On the other, it takes away available inventory until final payment is due when many people don't make final payment. I think we'll see them during dead booking times, just not premium booking times like Black Friday / Cyber Monday / Memorial Day / Valentines Day

@tbarton this will be only my 2nd SF port experience. 4/23/22 wasn't too bad even with ArriveCAN but that was because I was within the 1st 50. as long as this is clearly posted I have no problem with this. Personally I've always picked the best available cabin. No sense trying to cheapen it & hope that I can snag it later at a few $$s less. In my personal experience that doesn't work. Also I only book nonrefundable if I'm picking my favorite stateroom on the $1 deposit promo. Don't care if I lose $1 do care if I get a less than optimal room

Planning on getting on Bart 9am, to Embarcadero by 10, it's a very short walk so there well before 10:30. This is 4/16/23 ... and Tuesday is the 1st Spring day and hopefully our last atmospheric river of 22/23

Is luggage storage at Termini Station safe?? Is it self store lockers? I can't seem to find that online (yes Google is my friend but it doesn't say)

Oops!! Can they find an expedited office?? State Dept is making appoints for those who travel within 14 days at the expedited rate ($160 each). Not even "regular" expedited service will get them the required papers in time now. Otherwise there's no fixing stupid ..... I'm on a closed loop out of SF and sweated getting mine in time (1/11 applied, 3/27 received, and I expedited with express shipping). Old book 28 post full of stamps, new book 26 pages might never get stamps as that's not done most places .... no appreciable difference

4 adults & 4 kids will board next summer (on Princess until then). Only 2 drink wine so I'll be good if this rule sticks. Hope the soda pkg also sticks as 6 will get that.
