  1. Suggest (not that they care) reinstating loyalty obc but based on days not cruises starting with 200 days (was 21 cruises). Steps to be: 200 = 25 obc 300 = 50 obc 400 = 75 obc 500 = 100 obc (etc)
  2. On no I get that. It's just that corporate wants 10% (17% from stores - 7% rebate to pax = 10% net princess) from all on shore purchases involving the app. Anyway that's what Independent stores in the ports state & why would they lie? They lose 17% to Princess or 3% to the credit card services. Anyway, I'm bowing out of this.
  3. What elite line? Theres just green & blue now. There is an elite lounge if you get thru before boarding but not until then.
  4. Hey Judy I'm green on all 3 upcoming cruises.
  5. They can call themselves "Dumb Squats from He!!" for all I care if I don't have to stand in that stupid line and either pay off the remainder of my onboard acct in cash or get back the unused cash deposit I made to stay out of the Princess auto-charge status. Not at all worried about some Princess affiliated company doing unauthorized charges as its easy enough to handle on land. And yes, when I requested/paid to have my medallion shipped they charged me You do you, I'm green
  6. Don't they have it anyway as I check out automatically with anything I owe going to my cc?
  7. @TravelingNana @Sea Hag @nazpaz why all this fuss about the Shoreline Transaction function? What am I missing? I can still use my cc instead of charging to my room, the shoreline stores NOT OWNED BY PRINCESS don't have my actual cc# until I present that card, and my card is as safe within both ship & shoreside tab as it would be only within ship tab. What am I missing?? I understand Princess wants me to charge to my room (which is why they want me to authorize shoreside transactions) so they get 10% (17% - 7% to me) but I control access to my card, not them
  8. I am in charge of off-ship purchases. I just used my cc and don't charge to my room
  9. I've not read all 407 posts but my issues are: 1. Harder to view ship as now its not just swipe to move to another floor 2. Omitted Deck 5 MDR which is problematic for me as that's where I'm normally reassigned by HW 3. I will never use shoreside transactions as I resoundingly support small businesses. One of which told me in Ketchikan that he was assessed a whooping 17% fee every time that function was used. I registered my cc for onboard transactions and that's as far as I went. Still green.
  10. Yes BUT in my experience the actual wait staff never seems to know that I've checked that box
  11. If you are trying to use the coupon in the Princess book, you only need to ‘play’ $20, whether you win or lose is not the point of qualifying for the coupon. Sometimes the cashier will not even check if you have gambled at least $20, but you are mistaken believing you need to lose $20 before you can get the $10 free play coupon added . Well then I was right & they were wrong as I played quite a bit but was never down by $20.
  12. @djtx2 inform your waiter on the 1st night that you have a food allergy. They will notified their Head Waiter who will bring the following day's menues and take your order to get the correct food. BTW I also ask to be assigned to that waiter (I'm already assigned to that Head Waiter) so I don't have to explain again. I am not restricted to the MDR but the buffet remains problematic
  13. I get mine back in an hour. Set to wash, back to room for coffee, 30 minutes later put in dryer, 35 minutes later it's done. In cold water. On their tokens.
  14. That's how I did it last month. The only change was I had to lose $20 before I'd get the free $10 worth of play. And the machine kept recoding wins. Transferred over $300, had $298 at the end. Never got the $10 but never really lost IMHO
  15. If it was the Chardonnay, I poured it out. Fortunately 1 bottle lasts me a week, can often board with 2 bottles when there's 2 embarkation points (next one Sydney & Brisbane). So maybe buying a glass.
  16. No @wallyj. I seriously thought it would be added as OBC with a limit up to $29. Hope 8m wrong ... 4 months to go until I'm on the cruise I booked in 2019 and has been delayed by Princess until April 2024
  17. With so many bookings already Carnival Corp has zero incentive to offer either sales or Princess Bonus Gift cards. https://cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/2023/12/carnival-corp-has-two-thirds-of-business-booked-for-2024/
  18. My Specialty Dining credit of $29 is even more of a joke now 🤑
  19. Can someone who has eaten there since the change verify what the charge is? Is it a 1% or 18% increase?
  20. So it's going from 17% to 18%? All this is over 1%?
  21. Recently off the Enchanted Princess & was told I couldn't trade for Rose only white or red wine. Anyone else run into this?
  22. These were the production shows on Enchanted Princess Transatlantic Cruiser 11/23/23-12/8/23
  23. I used National Express Coach but then I only have 1 suitcase (23.5" with wheels)
  24. Has anyone used www.gwr.com to get to & from Bath from Southampton? According to the website it's just £32.50 (Also sorry I'm adding onto another's thread)
