  1. Mine usually will fit on the nightstand, in front of the lamp, or maybe positioned sideways beside the lamp.
  2. I've been in & out several times today...
  3. We have done this transfer many times. We stay at a hotel very near the Coach Station. I currently have the transfer booked for a sailing in November, but our plans have just changed so I *may* be cancelling the transfer. It's very convenient since they handle your luggage all the way to your cabin on the ship! There are definitely cheaper ways but none as convenient.
  4. Thanks for the quick reply. It sounds as if maybe this is a "typical" very small European/English establishment since you say "no elevator". (Narrow stairs?) I take it you've stayed there?
  5. We *usually* stay in London a couple of days pre-cruise but for our next sailing in November we think we might want to stay in Southampton for a change. We have *no* familiarity with hotels there...would like to hear others' experience. I took a *very* quick look on the Marriott site...saw the Moxy for a pretty low price and it seems to have really good reviews...but still would like to hear from others. Especially if Moxy is not a good choice!
  6. I don't *think* I would ever try to purchase in that manner...but good to know! Thanks for that info.
  7. Slightly off-topic, I know...but on the Sky The Catch was located on deck 7 above the Piazza. It takes up that entire "half" of deck 7 overlooking the Piazza. I was very leery of it when I booked, thinking that it was going to be somewhat like Alfredo's where people were walking by you very close...but that's not the case at all. If you want to traverse deck 7 you have to go to the opposite side. It's a fairly decent arrangement since you get to hear whatever music is being played in the Piazza.
  8. Sorry...I don't understand what this has to do with FCDs. Wrong thread, maybe?
  9. I really don't have any issues with the actual Princess website...it's the app that gives me heartburn. But I do have to admit...they really seem to know they have issues with it because I am constantly getting app updates.
  10. Make sure you keep hardcopy printouts of EACH gift card link you receive. Not the initial email...the actual "gift card" that you see when you click on the link in the email. I always number them and track them in a spreadsheet so that I will have at least an inkling of a chance should I need to refer back for any reason. Thankfully...that has yet to happen.
  11. What is your favourite dining room on Majestic? The one closest to my cabin! 😄
  12. Hah! That's a bit of a stretch to get "dear" for "disembark"! 😄
  13. Don't forget that if you happen to need a CPAP that there is always a "hidden" European style 2 prong 220 volt socket behind one of the beds. This could conceivably be used as another source of power for devices that can handle dual voltage. As far as USB charging...we use this in cabins that don't have direct USB ports:
  14. In my opinion (*maybe* worth 2 cents!) that sounds like a problem strictly between the firm and the bank. I can't see how it would involve Princess unless perhaps they went out of business. Then...Princess would have to come up with a different hotel for you. Again...just my opinion!
  15. We have always just done the Plus "fare" option. I know it affects the insurance, but being Platinum we get the better insurance for the price of standard. I prefer to just get as much out of the way up front so as to not have to deal with anything on board.
  16. If you have a statement showing ZERO balance then this just might be a Visa problem. IDK...but you've got some ammunition to do a dispute.
  17. 2022 and 2023...Actually it was 5 sailings. Two departed Southampton...
  18. Not if you've booked Princess Premium, which provides for reserved seating.
  19. Yes...but that's *only* if someone on the ship agrees to allow it...doesn't sound like that's the case. It would be nice to hear back from the OP to get an update.
  20. Ours for the last 3 cruises (at least) have been delivered to our mailbox. Pretty sure FedEx (or anybody else) cannot use a person's mailbox for delivery. Only USPS.
  21. As stated above...the real benefit of FCD is upon initial booking. You're really wasting it trying to apply to an existing booking *unless* you know for absolute certainty that you're not going to be able to cruise over the next year. In that case...I guess it's better than just sitting on it for a year and waiting for the refund.
  22. Agree with @PacnGoNow...for us it has almost always been 10-14 days. I once got them maybe 3 weeks ahead...and then the battery was dead trying to embark! Had to jump through hoops just to get on the ship!
  23. I wouldn't count on it...I would call and see if you can get it booked that way.
  24. Blue painters tape is now a part of my standard "toolkit". We've used it 3 times now. Works great and it doesn't leave a sticky residue like electrical tape will.
  25. As of a couple of months ago it had yet to be reinstated.
