  1. HUGE favor to ask.. on the drink menu; it showed “Blantons Bourbon”..can you see if that’s ANYWHERE on the ship?! Last sailing we saw the same thing on the menu..but NONE of the bartenders had any idea what Blantons was..(it’s bottle is VERY distinct..looks like a hand grenade with a race horse on the bottle topper) thanks!
  2. That is specific to the dream class; I believe.
  3. The problem is 200% covid blameable 100% SES (the satellite provider) said they had issues blah blah blah 100% NOW EVERYONE wants internet (just imagine being on that fateful Diamond princess in an INTERIOR cabin with ZERO internet! NO ONE wants to POSSIBLY be in that situation EVER..so even 100 year old Grandma is on the internet package) give it two or three more years..SES will come back to fully operational with LEO satellites and the fear of non-connection may go back (if they can raise the price of internet package high enough, not every Tom, Dick and Harry will buy it..only maybe Tom, lol)
  4. Probably doing a site refresh..it’s 12’o’clock somewhere haha
  5. The beautiful part about the UK..it’s all tap-to-pay (Apple Pay, google pay, etc)..when I first went and took out my card to pay..the waiter looked at me like I had a third eye! (A local friend told me AFTER that UK is entirely contactless)
  6. I can agree with Paradise beach club! the entire property is banging and the the food is fire! we’re booked again for spring break! cant freakin wait!
  7. Damn I wish I would have read this sooner. we went to Maya Chan ON thanksgiving day (cruised that week) and while it was a nice property with great staff..the DOWNSIDE was, they basically got angry at us for not wanting continuous booze (the waitresses FINALLY stopped coming around after the fifth time of asking, and said “what!?!? You don’t drink??” (No! Not when I know it’s rotgut you’re serving) AND..if you intend on being their HOURS; you better stock up on the ONE Buffet they give you (tacos and a few other things; but it’s only put out for about 30 minutes) basically, the wife and I left shortly after eating, because we realized their wouldn’t be any other food AT ALL served. (We’re fat people, what can I say?) We booked Jaime’s on the review of Jay & Dee; in the fact that you could keep ordering/trying different food…but if they never BRING the food then that presents a problem too. If you’re looking for a place to lay under a pulapa and relax while drinking rotgut booze, Maya Chan is 1000% the place for you (they’ll even paddle out to you while you’re floating in the ocean to give you more rotgut liquor) If you’re comparing it to another AI in Cozumel like Sanchos/Nachi/Paradise…it’s not even close.
  8. So we‘ve been on the radiance recently for a 3-night and a 4-night cruise.. we can DEFINITELY agree with you that it feels like a dorm (you can literally hear everyone around you like the walls aren’t even there and also the door slamming is insane! It’s almost like people were PURPOSELY slamming them, it happened so much) And yeah..the “buffet” is a poor excuse (as it’s literally just the small rear area where usually it’s the dessert area only) I mean..it is what it is here in LBC..
  9. Later on..people like this will come to be known as..”Mentally Retarded”. (Quote from Anchorman)
  10. REALLY!? I love Dr Pepper but it’s NEVER been on a cruise ship..if you’re saying Carnival out of Galveston has it..I’m sold!
  11. For table games on cruise ships; there’s no rhyme or reason why/how you get points..it all boils down to what the pit boss wants to give you.
  12. So next month we’re traveling with our usual cruise buddies; what we’d like to do; is have any medallion open either of our doors. (Rooms are next door) is that a sane request to ask guest services? (If we’re all four there and all consent) or are the medallions pre-programmed and no one on the ship has access to modify them?
  13. Nice! I noticed they had changed their website UX a week or so ago..
  14. I was actually shocked I was turned away on formal night for wearing shorts; on the Sky Princess on November cruise. (Never had that happen before) promptly went back to room, threw on jeans and went back, haha.
  15. Lol; to the people who say “why would I give a GIFT to someone, on vacation”..think about all the people have 365+ days on carnival cruises…these people are basically seeing cruise ship employees WAY more than their own families…so to THOSE people, cruise ship employees would become their family. but I agree..I hate giving/getting gifts..CASH IS KING!
  16. Must be nice..but I’d hate to have to fly that much for work..
  17. My very FIRST cruise I actually wanted to buy something (I had been wanting to buy a Godard for a while; having visited his studio in the Rio in Vegas) when I found out how much they wanted for a Godard, I literally laughed in their face and told them “I can get it for a FRACTION of the price, DIRECTLY from his studio in Vegas”..
  18. I’ve seen it be hit and miss.. On a 10-day Alaska cruise on Miracle..the servers damn near followed us around haha on a 3-day Ensenada run on Radiance, there just weren’t enough servers to keep up with the constantly jam-packed casino on a 4-day Catalina run on Radiance; there were too many servers, so my drink would take forever because the FIRST server never came back! (At one point I said screw it and started ordering a shot from every server who came by..lol, I lined up six shots from the six different servers that cycled through before that first order came back) Seems pretty ignorant to have six servers work the same area of slot machines…
  19. Even still; let’s say he was playing $25 per spin..that’s still pushing the button FOUR THOUSAND TIMES…even at a GOOD clip of 5x per minute; let’s even go better and say 400 spins per hour…homie has been pounding it for TEN HOURS! People like this make me wonder..why cruise?? ***** Vegas would treat you MUCH better.
  20. The call-back option worked the best for me.they called back the next day. i think they probably scaled this LOB down to like 1-2 people in Santa Clarita..then maybe a small pod of people in a manila call center.
  21. Sorry to barge in..but I’ve only seen those classic barcrest games on the Splendor..and it was JUST ONE ($1 top dollar IIRC)
