So how is the new butler situation going for you two?

Charla, hope things turn around back to what you experienced before on the Beyond. For us it did not. We were on the Edge CS, CS And SS 2021. We felt we had the best Celebrity butler! Then we sailed Equinox and Summit SS 2022 and, wow, butler service was seriously diminished. Scattered, inefficient, push back. With the itinerary of your cruise and that you are with Jeremy you will make the best of it as you always do. Again, hope it turns around.

NCL did similar on the Joy that is well documented on NCL board. We had booked a suite not haven and butler was listed as part of the amenity. We were due to sail July 2022. Somewhere around nov/dec 2021 the butler and other amenities were removed. I emailed multiple times with no satisfaction. no onboard credit. one poster had that experience and was able to get an obc. we were not happy and thought about cancelling. eventually we upgraded on our own to haven so we could get the butler.

For the ships that do not have a yacht club but have deluxe and premium suites does anyone have experience with this category? Navigating the MSC website is difficult so I figured I would ask. Thanks.

Thanks. Did not know that about junior butler. The vest person may have been head concierge. All other wore jackets, but he seemed important.

"That is an amenity you are paying extra for my opinion, and why I feel like the inflated prices for the Haven are no longer worth the the going price for the services received." We currently agree. Sailed Haven Joy with P+ July 2022, March 2023 and July 2023. When we disembarked most recently, my husband said to me "I feel ripped off". For the price we paid and compared to previous 2, he was right. The P+ is now a joke. Many other posts about no Veuve and Rose champagne only was a big factor. We got off in Port Canaveral went to Walmart and bought our own. So on top of what we already paid to NCL, we laid out more money for our vacation happiness. The Beverage Manager was useless. The butler is a factor too. #1 was a dud. #2 was ok. #3 was good. Cancelled 2 sailings next year when we got home. Staying away until things improve.

Can you tell me what junior butler means? Is this your cabin butler? When we were on in July there was a man with a vest that was always around the concierge desk. Never quite figured out who he was. Do you know? thanks. Enjoy your cruise !!! Meraviglia YC is great.

Jamie, Sounds and looks like you enjoyed yourselves. Did you find you missed the hot tub on the balcony? Worth the extra $?.

Butlers tend to differ. Have had 5 on NCL, 5 on Celebrity and 2 on MSC. Most recent MSC was great. Our experience was, greeted us in top sail lounge and escorted us to the cabin. Explained things about the room. Helps room steward turn over room. Restocks mini bar. Deliveries to room (invitations, newspaper, chocolates, etc). We asked and was brought a small cheese plate in the afternoon. Was the butler at Ocean Cay that escorted group off. Escorted us at disembarkation. I too would love to hear more firsthand experiences varying from what we had. Butler was great though, very happy.

Since coming to NY in April, I am curious about the best/earliest time in YC you were onboard.

Anyone sail recently and know the hours while docked in Bermuda. (NCL opens at 9 p.m. but Bermuda allows earlier with paid fee, NCL chose not to). Hoping MSC thinks opening earlier than 9 p.m. is a good idea!!!
