  1. After digging a little deeper (and it was no easy task with all the 'sponsored' Google sites), I have answered my own questions... No responses needed...thanks.
  2. First time there...arriving Nov. 4th. There seems to be a lot of places (doing a Google search) but wanted some places other folks have used. Thanks in advance!!
  3. I use the black and green straps (one of each) with these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C2TRY1Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Looks atrocious but it's unique...lol...
  4. Yepper...I now find I should have used some of those miles for the cheap trips...(trips that I'd rather pay cash for and save miles for long haul trips...but not any more...)
  5. And them's the facts, pure and simple...
  6. Ah, the good old days...I took advantage of many of them there buffets...drowning my sorrows from the blackjack tables...
  7. I guess I was lucky?? Just yesterday I booked a mini-suite as a solo traveler for an October cruise out of L.A. on the Majestic Princess.
  8. I think you would lose your money... I just booked (yesterday) a mini-suite aft on the Majestic Princess, cruising solo, this coming October...for a little over $5700 embarking from Los Angeles and going to Sydney. I had booked the April cruise next year, Sydney to San Francisco cruising solo...a balcony...for $9700. Both of these bookings include Princess insurance and both are Princess Plus. Guess which one I'm keeping!!
  9. That is, of course, true. But the only pattern I care about is the one on my ship on my cruise...
  10. Ken, did you have to get an NZeTA for entry to New Zealand? Or did the cruise ship take care of that sort of thing for excursions??
  11. Sorry for the off-topic post, folks but: Ken, I had to thank you for the post on the X board about Princess doing the transpacific cruise in spring **and** fall. I had booked an AI balcony for the April '24 Sydney to SF. Now, instead, I have the same booked Oct '23 for LA to Sydney. (Both booked as a solo cruiser) I saved $4,100!!! (and I get to cruise sooner) THANK YOU 🤩
  12. Something you might consider at this point...refrain from replying any further on this thread you started. Let it pass away into the bit bucket of CC. I know that can be hard (from personal experience!). Best wishes and bon voyage!!
  13. It's a shame that you should spend any time second guessing the motives of your waiter. Enjoy the cruise with your friends and your dinner neighbors and give no further thought to your waiter. However, I would still make it quite clear to the M'D that this person did not enhance your dining experience in a positive manner.
  14. Absolutely no excuse whatsoever for that behavior. Period. As soon as that sentence came out of his mouth, I would have immediately requested to be moved. Strongly suggest speaking to the M'D...I wouldn't want any other folks to be treated that way...
  15. From their website...you make the call... https://www.abraham-hicks.com/about/
  16. Excellent review!! Yes, cats everywhere in Kotor...which was an unexpected gem for us...
  17. Glad I had the opportunity to enjoy a suite SR on Celebrity while I had the chance! Not sure how this will play out for us in future bookings...but I'm sure to do even more research than I already do!! So it goes...
  18. Sorry, did not mean to imply it wasn't a real thing as it most certainly is. I remember the Jack in the Box thing back in '92. You are quite right about we're talking about food safety and my comment certainly gives the impression that everything is well and good, all the time, when it isn't. My comment was irresponsible and not well thought out. My apologies to the board.
  19. How about I just plain apologize? Sometimes I just put my foot in it...like this time. I honestly asked the burger question because of my nasty experience with mussels...it certainly had a long effect. Harvested them ourselves, we knew to make sure that they opened. Strangely, no one else had ill effects. I've always assumed (later) that I had an allergic reaction.
  20. If you say so... In 50 years of grilling my hamburgers (that is to say when I moved out on my own) to a medium rare, I have never, ever had any nasty things happen. (wife has been eating them for over 30 years...) Perchance did you have a nasty experience early in life with a bad burger? (It took me almost 30 years to get over a bad experience I had with mussels...) Or are you going by what you've read?? I'm guessing you like your steaks well done...which is okay of course. When friends are over for dinner they get 'em the way they want 'em...
  21. Wonderful to be tagging along on yet another of your adventures. I will miss Mr. Norwaylady's beer evaluations though!! Sure hope someday I get on a cruise with you folks onboard!!
  22. Nothing 'sensible' about it. It's just when you prefer to eat...just like others have a preferred time when they like to eat...🙄
  23. Hijacking your own thread?? 🙃
  24. 'Plentiful storage space' to stash my dirty clothes!! Brillant! 🤣🤣🤪
