Celebrity does as well. Yes.... we can remember long ago. Have not seen you in a good while.

I have been to Cozumel 16 times on a cruise ship. I cannot remember ever getting in late (it does depend on where you are coming from). I see no issue at all. The cab ride to downtown is less than 12 minutes if memory serves me.

We always leave our bags in our room and go to breakfast when we do self assist. That said, I would never got within 30 minutes of time they want you out, but within the hour was never a problem.

I have cruised regularly since the start up. It was really noticeable in the beginning, but the ships were half full. It has gotten better, but our cruise on Celebration (school break week) it was not good (bar service). So much so, that I sent a love note to some Carnival mgt friends (which prompted calls to discuss our dissatisfaction. We will be on her again on 8/10, I will be posting live and can give you further updates then.

Only other possible culprit was Bliss.

Never been on Epic. I could be wrong. We were a connecting cabin with our daughter and her family in a suite. The connecting door changed the layout as I remember, but it was year 2 of Oasis.

Our cabin on Oasis had the sink outside the bathroom. Celebrity is also really small. They (excel) are small (except suites). Aft Excel was larger than any other we have had (including Captains suites).

To reinforce that the Caribbean will be dominated by mega liners and that it will be dominated by private islands and line owned ports, RCCL's new 2nd largest cruise ship in the world (only a little less ugly than Oasis) Utopia, is doing 3 and 4 day cruises and adding two stops to their private island on the same cruise. If this does not set the bar, then I do not know what will.

I do not think you can have it both ways. Either Princess and HAL are the world options, or they are not. Carnival corp pits them against each other and Carnival in Alaska and other places. Carnival was the Caribbean answer for the Corp, the big ships just reinforce that push (unless they go elsewhere, which I do not foresee, other than a ship down under).

I would agree that one will prob do shorter cruises, it makes total sense. I would not be surprised if one went down under and freed up small ship(s) for more unique itineraries.
