  1. We plan on taking the bus/train and stopping in Madrid along the way
  2. Look at fall 2024 Adventure We are booked on Adventure over with Voyager back
  3. Harmony suite sun deck has a hot tub. Haven’t sailed on Symphony. Harmony has Columbus the Musical - love that show
  4. Rarely nap on land, had 3 good ones lately. Two on the suite sun deck on Harmony and Oasis. Took a good one in a hammock at CocoCay
  5. Just looked and the upgrade button is there for my two April cruises. I swear they weren’t there earlier today. Not gonna play the upgrade game, this is a B2B in the same cabin going from FL to Vancouver
  6. Just got off 4 weeks of solo on Oasis and had an excellent time. Ended up having cruise friends on board some of those weeks and did two outings in Mexico with them. One was a place I’d been too many times and was new to them. As far as safety on land, some ports I’ll book independent tours or wander myself. Other ports I only book RCL excursions, Jamaica is one Female in early 50’s
  7. Recently did 9ish weeks of cruising going from Vision to Harmony to Grandeur to Oasis. I don’t know if I’ll do another Vision class again unless it’s an amazing itinerary. Really disliked the lack of refrigerator/cooler in the inside stateroom (stayed in a grand, junior, and interior) Loved the b2b process on Grandeur, not so much on Oasis. Grandeur and Vision, great sea views in both CL and SL Can’t say the same for either Harmony or Oasis The Oasis class wins me over with the availability of entertainment. I love, love, love the aqua shows. As far as service and food quality in the MDR, both were great.
  8. I lucked out and was on Jewel the day this cruise dropped. Booked 3 adults in junior suite for just under 7k. The grand was almost double if I recall correctly
  9. Critical might be a bit harsh. I found it quite informative
  10. The coffee machine was supposed to be fixed (debarked on 12/15) If not repaired, the Concierge Lounge door will be unlocked to access the machine. Continental breakfast available; muffins, pastries, bagels, fruit cups, musli, cheese, cold cuts, lox & cream cheese Evening hot and cold snacks available along with sweets. I always find it more convenient to take a plate to the bar. Better beverage service The 1st is always crowded, the VCL is a good spot to view the Skyway bridge
  11. Really enjoyed the DL views on Grandeur. On Vision later this month, hopefully it’s similar
  12. Same, after 11 on Mariner in 1 year I’m sad none of the upcoming cruises are on her. Before Mariner, Victoriano was on Grandeur out of Baltimore. A guest was excited to see him one day in the DL. I agree the menu can get really repetitive, especially when you are always on 5 nights or less. At home I basically eat the same thing every day. Now I’m finding myself doing the same on ships. My go to MDR is a large bowl of plain romaine with the herb crusted salmon. I bring my own dressing. There are a few deserts that I’ll order, the vegan lemon tart is especially good. I only go to a specialty if I’m with someone and use my BOGO. Are you doing the UDP on your Oasis cruise in February?
  13. Victoriano always wanted on us. Back when we couldn’t touch the coffee machine in the DL he made mine everyday for 3 weeks. I was so happy to see him back on Mariner from Vacation
  14. When I’m looking at cruises, the price per day - per person is my qualifier. Prices for 2023 are higher than last year but seem on par with 2019 and early 2020. At least for the sailings ai booked. Radiance, Vision, and Voyager class offer the best per day price with longer sailings being an even better deal. I had to throw my price per day threshold out the window for the UWC.
  15. I’m on Oasis all of February, would enjoy chatting with you at Cheers.
  16. You could just pay for their pre-cruise planner purchase with your credit card.
  17. Mmmmmm I love that warm chocolate cookie on Mariner B2B. Serenade is the other ship I’ve had a B2B lunch and they didn’t have it.
  18. Congrats on reaching 340 points. The Cheers with an Officer is only on sailings of 7+ nights. Any future cruises, have your TA run a price check with DP340 code. I had several that went down a few hundred, one or two that dropped about $20. Yay for checking off all the Freedom class ships. I’m missing both Voyager and Freedom, aggravating. Have Freedom booked for next Halloween. Thanks for all the photos, always enjoy your posts
  19. Brunch showed up on Serenade in October and November. For our sailings it was the last sea day. A separate breakfast and lunch was offered on the other sea day
  20. Native Choice does excellent tours of the ruins. We went January 2020 and had a university professor on winter break lead our tour. They meet you a short walk outside the port.
  21. Did 6 sailings on Serenade (Oct 15 to November 19) I don’t think D+ was able to access at all. There were 2 sailings that Pinnacle were not allowed in the CL Did 4 sailings on Explorer (Sept 3 - Oct 1) D+ and Pinnacle had access to CL for every sailing.
  22. I love them both! Voted for Labadee just because I go there less often, Both are a free beach day Both have food, CocoCay is better Both are warm in winter, Labadee being warmer Labadee has the coaster, rode it 50 times the last time I was there. Labadee feels less crowded. I’ve only ever been there with 1 ship in port
