My Enchantment to Brilliance still shows canceled and haven’t gotten a new cabin yet. I’m sailing April 2023. How did you receive your new cabin assignment?

I’m pondering on booking a Pacific Coastal, LA to Vancouver to make a Panama Canal a B2B. This one stops in Monterey and Catalina Island as well as San Fran and Victoria. Not seen many reviews out there. (I do realize these itineraries aren’t offered very often)

I often cruise with a friend. Usually we have to ask for the beds to be separated. On Mariner we had a fabulous state room attendant named Charles. When we got to the room the beds were already separated. When I asked how he knew, he said we were of same gender with different last names and age groups. While he could have assumed wrong, he saved himself and us the hassle .

We enjoyed visiting Santo Domingo, booked through the ship because it was a haul to get there.

Vegan on Labadee May be hard. They usually do have corn and black beans & rice but who knows if butter has been added. Salads usually have cheese already added. May be easier to head back to the ship for lunch

More cruises for me, usually an inside if I’m solo. Occasionally the price for a OV or balcony is just a few $ more than inside so I’ll grab that. Jewel Jan and Feb this year had some crazy deals, of course I lost 3 cruises when the ship became a hospital. We have done suites, usually a grand when we travel as a family, usually 1-2 times a year. We bought a FL condo last year and it became my goal to hit pinnacle before my 50th in December. I’m doing most of those solo or sharing a room with friends. I also consider this training for that crazy long 2023 cruise in an inside cabin. Told hubs if he changed his mind and wanted to go he had to get his own room.

Just giving 1st hand experience. When we returned to the port an armed guard boarded the bus and walked down the aisle looking at our passport. This was January 2018 on Independence

Depends on your port and excursion. In Alaska we had to have our passport because we crossed into Canada. In Jamaica they wanted us to have our passport to renter the port terminal. Other than that, it stays in the safe. Pay attention to whatever the compass, app, or your shore excursion advises Enjoy your cruise 🙂

We flew to Barbados in May and the flight was not cheap. Can you get to San Juan instead? Cruises from there visit some of the same ports. If you haven’t done Western Caribbean, check out the sailings from Galveston.
