  1. Good point. Plus, our experience has been that calling room service for this particular request does NOT trigger the new $5.00 charge for calling RS on the phone.
  2. “There is no comparison. HAL is far superior. “ We are considering a few trips on HAL so need some help understanding your position on this. On Princess we get free laundry (when we choose to use it) and free laundry tokens if we choose to do our own laundry. I’m having a tough time understanding why “HAL is far superior” to this when they want me to pay $8.50/day for laundry. That’s $119 on a 14 day cruise. Clearly I’m missing something and hoping you can help.
  3. Phones should ALWAYS be in Airplane mode while onboard lest unpleasant surprises befall those who don’t.
  4. Do any of the ships have self service (pax operated) laundry facilities?
  5. Did you book through a TA? If so, contact them and ask them to get involved.

  7. Absolutely agree on purchasing FCDs once on board. Best deal at sea. We always keep at least 6 each “in the bank”.
  8. I had these confiscated on another cruise line several years ago. Long story short, I grabbed them back and still travel with them. The photo shows my current workaround. Haven’t had a problem since.
  9. This 👆🏻 We were extra careful to get really good photos before we left home. What was the first thing they did at checkin after scanning our passports, yup, they took new photos of each of us. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  12. We are in YC presently on the Seascape. We are using the included wifi package that is provided. Our thought was to try the basic and see if it works satisfactorily. If not, then we would buy the upgrade. I should also mention that this is a Caribbean cruise. This is a screen shot of the performance we’ve been getting. Obviously, we’ve stayed with the included wifi package and have not upgraded.
  13. Same here. After a month, I sent an email to MSC. They replied in a few days and fixed the issue.
  14. We are also presently on board Seascape. I have been to Customer Services twice since we boarded on Jan 27. The reply I have received is that they have to contact “shoreside personnel“ to get this OBC added. Seems like they’ve decided to make the customer work for it. Or perhaps, hopefully forget about it.

  17. Could it be that the Bean Counters have determined it’s actually more cost-effective for them to provide elite tokens than for them to actually do elite laundry?
  18. Never, ever on dozens of Princess cruises have I heard of this being done. Perhaps this is something new. Would really like to hear from others on this subject.
