  1. Port of Miami Traffic all depends when you are leaving and how many ships are in. We were on the Symphony of the seas in October and traffic was hectic but nothing crazy, believe there were 5 ships in. Now we are leaving on the Norwegian Joy in April and we will have 8 ships in that morning so will be a bit more hectic. Lots of road construction going towards NCL's and RCCL's terminals. Normally I am one to be first to the Pier in the morning, but with that many ships disembarking I may arrive a little later. We are sailign in the Haven so dont have to worry to much about time spent in the terminal
  2. I believe they are going back to the traditional way of completing muster drill...Coast Guard probably said it is time to go back to normal.
  3. Pretty sure outside would allow you to go to Club Balcony Level and Spa Balcony. Not sure Haven
  4. Always Bring Bridging Documents, even if never asked. My wife has never been asked but we bring it anyways. We are bringing my 16 year old stepdaughter in April, and have a notarized letter from her father showing he knows she is leaving the country. Her 17 year old friend is also coming and we have the form signed and completed by both her parents as well as copies of there driverse licenses as well as a notorized travel document giving my wife and I permisssion to take her as well as make medical decisions on their behalf. Now will we need all these documents, maybe not, but imagine getting to the terminal and being denied boarding because you dont have them.
  5. I have been on the Breakaway several times out of New Orleans. We have never experienced anything dramatic when it comes to lines on the Breakaway. Shows were good and food was good as well. We have sailed both Carnival and NCL out of New Orleans and the only thing i can say is embarkation is always a bit of a pain. The Breakaway is one of the largest if not the largest ship that docks there. Boarding is a Pain so my advise is to relax and board a little later. If not there super early odds are you will be waiting outside to get into the terminal as it fills up fast, and then everyone waits for the ship to be cleared for embarkation. But i will say I love the sailaway down the Mississippi River!
  6. are you in a 2 BEdroom Haven suite, if so you still get two services,
  7. We tip $20 to the porter, if it’s 2 or 4 of us
  8. Hopefully, I have an Aft Facing Haven Suite for my April 8th Cruise
  9. We have Cruised the BA twice in the Haven and liked it alot. Our next cruise in April we are on the Joy also in a Haven Suite (Aft facing Haven Penthouse) We opted for this becasue of the Balcony space and we will have our 16 year old stepdaughter as well as her 17 year old friend.
  10. Filet for breakfast has been off the menus for almost 2 years I believe, nothing recent
  11. Don’t believe there is an adult pool that you pay for
  12. We actually decided to switch our hotel to one right on biscayne Blvd across from the port, more money plus now pay for parking at terminal, but decided screw it lol
  13. Staying in the Haven this is a great perk! Meet in the Haven lounge and once the ship is cleared in port or when debarking go down crew elevators right to the gangway and bam off the ship
  14. I hate to ask a question that has been answered probably, but do haven guest still get lunch at American Diner included on embarkation day? We have sailed in haven several times. It never tried American diner and would like to but would never pay for it lol.
  15. We love the Haven as well! But Ainu we been pricing MSC Yaght club suites and they are much more affordable, unless pricing goes down a bit we may take our next one on MSC
  16. I really hope you aren’t comparing a luxury liner such as crystal to NCL? I have cruise RCCL, NCL, Carnival, Princess, Dolphin cruise line, Premier Cruise Line and Orient Cruise Line. I think that’s all of them…
  17. For one, why would you choose a ship that is over 20 years old? Itinerary? Also complaining about where a ship docks? Really? I would love to know the ships and lines you have sailed in the past? I understand as far as food quality, but if you turned down the offer to replace that is on you. I cruise all lines not just NCL, and I will agree with previous post, that was entertaining
  18. All onboard entertainment is on a contract basis, having worked on board ships in the entertainment area, there may be a gap, a very small gap between casts and shows
  19. We typically get them about 30 days out as well
  20. Upgrades go out about 110 days from sailing. Dont expect to hear anything untill the week of sailing. Some have heard earlier but that is not the norm.
  21. Thanks, I like the location and the rooms look renovated.
  22. So my wife and I take advantage of the drink package while we are on vacation. Now we do enjoy our drinks, so Bloody Mary's in the morning time, then enjoy maybe a fruity beverage or two but then switch over to beer. Honestly even if we didnt consume that much, it is more the piece of mind knowing i am not going to go out one night and go crazy and have a couple hundred dollar bill for a day.
  23. Swells like this docking wouldn’t even happen, we have missed costa maya several time due to high winds and swells
  24. Our butler always insisted on bringing us French press coffee every morning! We loved it. He also set up in room dining for us one night. Also kept our refrigerator stocked with things that normally they would charge for! Our butlers have always gone above and beyond our expectations and this is why we tip what we do. We stay in the haven for this type of service and those that provide it I believe should be compensated accordingly
  25. I’m sure there is a thread about this but was wondering anyone ever stay there precruise? We are sailing on the 8th of April and the rate seems pretty good. Any info on it would be great!
