  1. We were in a similar situation back in 2021. I had a lot of fun shopping on board. 😃
  2. Happily following along! We board Seascape on September 10 for 2 weeks in the YC. Starting to feel real now.
  3. This right here! If there was smoke, there was an open flame. What idiot would smoke anything in their cabin? A few years ago we were on a RC ship and while standing out on our balcony I smelled cigeratte smoke. Just as I was processing what I was smelling, I saw a butt get flicked off a balcony and do a U-turn mid air and land on a balcony below us. I reported it right away. And while we're on the subject of smoking, I just read that Celebrity will be allowing vaping in their casinos.
  4. I sure hope they don't turn it into a Coco Cay.
  5. What's weird is when our poor doggie got skunked in the face a few years ago, the scent on her was nothing like the smell in the air when you smell a skunk. It was a very strong, hard to describe odor. Almost like terpertine. Even after we did the Dawn, baking soda, peroxide at home remedy (of course this happened late at night) followed the next day by a de-odorzing process at her groomer, the smell on her snout lingered for months.
  6. A little off topic, but our daughter just accepted a position with one of the nation's largest weed companies. Sr. Project Manager in Product Development. Apparently as part of her orientation she'll be touring their farms outside of Nashville, so maybe I should have her ask them about that? 😆
  7. I don't want to jinx myself, but anytime I've called MSC it's been positive.
  8. Just last week my husband and I had a plumbing disaster here at home that forced us to spend 6 nights at a nearby Holiday Inn. Room had a connecting door and it creeped me out all week.
  9. My husband and I will be on Seascape for 2 weeks in September. We've sailed twice with MSC but have never dined at any specialty restaurants. (We enjoyed the food in the YC and didn't want to miss out on anything.) Now that we're doing a B2B, we thought we'd add some specialty dining. I understand there's a separate menu for the reward and for an additional cost you can add items to it. Everyone always talks about Butcher's Cut, but do the other specialty restaurants offer a Diamond Perk menu?
  10. Us too. I did the special needs form online some time ago and received an email response saying to bring our own. In the past I thought they went down to medical for it. I guess we'll have to buy some in Miami.
  11. Thank you for your review. We'll be sailing on Seascape for the first time in September and can't wait.
  12. No, that's the experience we've had as well. That said, it's always been very few to begin with because we only sail when schools are in session.
  13. Thanks again for taking us along with you. Have a safe trip home.
  14. Quite a few years ago on a few of our RC cruises there would be a couple with a small dog that they'd push around in a stroller. Not sure if it was a service dog or not because sometimes it would be with either of its owners. It had lots of little outfits and was a big hit in the Windjammer Buffet on the days it wore its little sailor suit. Yes, they brought it into the buffet.
  15. This was how our last MSC cruise was on Meraviglia in October 2021 in the YC. I keep reminding my husband that our September cruise on Seascape won't be anything like the last one.
  16. This sounds like a fantastic family vacation. They're lucky to have you! I'll be following along.
  17. This is a true story and one that has really stuck with me. On our last cruise with Celebrity on Reflection, I think this would have been December 2017, my then 61 year old husband was a few months away from having hip replacement surgery. He insisted he wanted to go on this cruise and didn't want to wait until after. Big mistake. We were in a very nice suite forward of the Solarium pool and had quite a walk down to Luminae. He was in a lot of pain and we had walked to get closer to where Luminae was located and then got on an elevator to go down one floor. There was already a younger couple in the elevator, obviously just finished with their morning workout and also on their way to Luminae. My husband never saw it, but I caught it out of the corner of my eye. The woman mouthed and held up one finger to her partner "one floor!." I never mentioned it to my husband but seeing that hurt me so much. I could have said something to them but probably would have gotten too emotional. Anyway, one should never judge anyone for taking an elevator because you never know their circumstances. I'm happy to report that since that cruise he's had double hip replacement, I had double knee replacement just last year (we're the bionic couple!) and newly retired, we now walk the equivalent of a brisk 5k every morning. That said, if we want to ride the elevators our entire vacation, it's nobody's business. (Sorry for the thread hijack!)
  18. Morpheus, asking since I know you're on board. Is the One Pool bar and buffet open while the ship is docked at Ocean Cay?
  19. After a long day in port, imagine how nice it would be to come back to the YC.
  20. Pretty sure we'll want to upgrade to the streaming package for our upcoming cruise as well. I know you probably mentioned it in your other post about Internet, but is that $70 upgrade for 2 devices? (So $140 for the week for my husband and I?)
  21. Glad to hear they're checking. I'd be happy if they asked us.
  22. I'm so happy about this. I've heard about Arthur since he was a waiter on, I think it was, Divina?
