  1. I'm happy to hear Carnival corporate office stepped up. Thank you for relaying this info on CC. I hope your family's recovery from Covid will be quick and complete.👍
  2. I do have to say, it's possible to get in the wrong cruise line for parking. I've done this twice at PC. Oops!
  3. Boris is a rescue as well. He is probably 3 years old and we think some Russian Blue and some cotton candy. He is a sweet boy!🥰 PS Love Stevie Nicks. Great name!
  4. Love your avatar! Reminds me of my DD's cat Boris. Sorry the pics are on their side.
  5. What hotel are you staying at? We stayed at Days Inn at the Cocoa Beach Pier and the shuttle was scheduled to pick us up at 10:30 but we didn't get picked up till 11:00. We were in our room on Mardi Gras by 12:15 so it wasn't too much of a delay.
  6. Both times I booked through Carnival. It included two chairs, and umbrella and a Welcome drink (a somewhat small plastic cup of rum punch) and the tram from the ship to Resort World. I haven't tried the lunch included with pool access. Our chicken and cheese quesadilla was $16 but big enough for Mom and me to share. I brought waters and purchased a bahama mama (I think) which was in a bigger cup for $12. I felt we got good value for what Carnival charged ($50 for two, I think) and having a bathroom accessible is a big plus to me.
  7. If you don't know what to do in Costa Maya, I have been twice to The Krazy Lobster. Very relaxing, nice beach with barriers to keep seaweed away and $20 hour long massages on the beach! Margaritas are yummy too! Take a taxi ($4 per person) and in about 10-15 minutes you'll be there. The person getting massaged is my daughter. Lunch is lobster.
  8. Went to RW in Sept 2021 and had a lovely time with DH in our chairs with an umbrella. Held a jellyfish in my hands (maybe the moon one) and had tasty drinks from the bar. April 2022 went to RW, sat in a clamshell on the deck near the restaurant with my mom. I swam in the water. Split a sizable chicken quesadilla and had a great afternoon. Maybe someday we will make it to Radio Beach👍
  9. My DDs did a Thanksgiving cruise, 8 days on Miracle at ages 9 and 11. Our ports were St Lucia, St. Kitts and St Maarten. They had plenty to do both on the ship and off. I bet your kids will have a blast! Plus the older they get, the harder it is to take 8 day cruises when school is involved. Have a great cruise!!
  10. I saw on another CC thread that Steakhouse is doing a brunch for $25 per person. Looks interesting!
  11. I hope the Steakhouse brunch is available on Sunshine over Labor Day weekend so I can try it out!
  12. I'm doing Chef's Table on Sunshine over Labor Day weekend. I'll report back👍
  13. Available just on Sea Days or others as well? TIA!
  14. Sure....and Snape was a bad guy. Hmmmm, I say!🤣
  15. No, I had no idea. We have been kinda binge-watching the Harry Potter movies, first to last for the last 10 days. It looks like a movie set. Thx for posting the pics!
  16. So you make reservations once onboard? You get a starter, entree and dessert like a regular Steakhouse dinner? TIA!
  17. I haven't been denied yet (knock on wood) but for the first time, my PVP submitted my stockholder statement with all account numbers redacted. It took at least 3-4 weeks but I did get approved. Didn't receive my usual email from Carnival (maybe my PVP did) but I saw in my Booking & Order Details in my Cruise Manager that I had been credited. This was for my Thanksgiving cruise coming up this year.
  18. Wow! That looks like something out of a Happy Potter movie!👍
  19. The food looks awesome! My family was so impressed with the tasty dishes we enjoyed while in Amsterdam and Paris. Your pics make me hungry!😄
  20. Right now on Carnival's website, balconies for Spirit on Aug 18 are going for $1219. I'd say the upsell you have been offered is very good. Especially if you want to see the passing Alaskan sights! I would take it!
