  1. In terms of the B2B specifically at Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) all B2Bers will need to disembark the ship into the terminal. The ship must be zeroed out of all cruisers. Then you will be able to reboard…or if you wish to go somewhere you will be given a Transit Card that will enable you to bypass the lines of cruisers checking in at the terminal upon your return.
  2. The food at Cafe al Bacio is free whether you have gotten a beverage or not. You can get it to go as well.
  3. @Sea Dog If you need a respite from friends who can’t avoid sensitive topics…tell them you need to get in touch with your stock broker (or whatever) and leave the room and come back here (your other home…😉)
  4. People think I named Diana after Princess Diana but, no, she was named in memory of my best friend who had died the year before. It was coincidentally on her namesake’s birthday, May 1, that I went to the shelter and came home with Diana. When I got Minnie three months later from the shelter she was 12 weeks old so I decided her birthday would be May 1 as well. That means that day after tomorrow is their birthdays!! I must go buy a can of tuna and one of sardines for their “cake.” 😊
  5. Ask and ye shall receive! These are some older ones…. First is Diana carrying for Tenzing who died three months after we got her…😢 This was Minnie the day we brought her home.
  6. Our most recent cruise our stateroom attendant said you have to request one now.
  7. @brillohead I understand feeling like you want to be all caught up on the thread before posting but sometimes that’s not feasible. I am cursed with an overly active imagination so I was afraid something catastrophic had happened to you or a family member…so don’t stay away so long in the future!! Besides, we need you to explain medical issues to us!! 😊
  8. Monday night I developed a pain in my abdomen…Tuesday it got worse…when it hadn’t gotten better Wednesday morning I called my PA’s office…no available appointments this week…but they have a walk-in clinic…no appointments necessary. So off I went there. I was really impressed!! Very nice people…I was seen in about 29 minutes…provider wanted a CT scan done…walked next door to their lab and in ten minutes I was having the scan. The staff were all so very nice!! I grew up with my father being the Director of The Emory Clinic, VP of the Woodruff Health Sciences Center and head of the cardio thoracic department…all surgeons who thought they were gods…. To meet medical professionals who treat you like a friend was so nice especially when you’re scared and in pain. I got the lab results by the time I got home. Of course I had no idea what it meant…🤭 But then a text that an antibiotic had been sent to my pharmacy. So now I’m on the mend and it’s great to know a walk-in no appointment needed option is available! The girls have been taking turns being furry heating pads. Their warmth and purring is very soothing!!
  9. When I had Mohs surgery on the side of my nose I was horrified that the tiny spot required the crater he dug out of my face and the huge unwieldy bandage on my nose. Couldn’t wear glasses. I felt the dermatologist should have prepared me for what the incision might look like so I wouldn’t have been so shocked. But it healed well…and DH had an idea what his might look like when the sun finally caught up with him…
  10. I’ve sailed Edge three times, Apex and Beyond once…all in an infinite veranda cabin…not a suite. Honestly, if you didn’t know The Retreat existed you’d never know. True the suites have the only forward facing area…and I thought I’d miss the Sky Lounge of the S Class…but Eden is a spectacular venue! And the 4 MDR concept with the extra menu options is amazing! Edge Class ships are stunningly beautiful; you definitely do not have to be in a suite to enjoy them.
  11. Was this an aft or forward cabin? I have a sunset veranda booked on Beyond soon…hoping for the best. Have a porthole cabin booked on Ascent but not until 2026…refundable deposit…if these reports continue I’ll cancel that cruise and stick to only M and S Classes on Celebrity. Sigh.
  12. Have there been any reports of noise issues in the porthole veranda cabins?
  13. As the Edge and Apex are slightly smaller than Beyond and Ascent…I’m assuming something in the design change adding more cabins is at fault for producing the noises.
  14. As to why people continue to book Beyond, I don’t know how many people who either reported here or experienced noises but are unaware of Cruise Critic (🙀) are actually giving Beyond another try. I know I mentioned in my post +301 that I’m only giving Beyond another chance because I’m booking an aft Sunset Veranda. So many people here have read the comments but not experienced the noises first hand and poo poo the complaints as “all ships make noises while sailing.” If I experience the same banging hammer and bowling ball noises I had in an IV in the Sunset Veranda, you can absolutely believe I will not sail Beyond again!
  15. The CD did not give Captain Kate the question re noise. Surprise.
