  1. I’ve got a sweet tooth but I’m not sure I could eat the one in the bottom picture…looks like glazed kale…
  2. The kilt cartoon remote of this exchange: (Girl to man wearing a kilt) “ Is anything worn under a kilt?” (Man) “No, lassie, it’s good as new!” Enjoyed all your videos!! Safe travels home.
  3. Regarding Uber/Lyft one great advantage is you set the app up with the credit card you want to use. I’ve had taxis in Florida claim their cc machines aren’t working and I must pay in cash. I’ve also sometimes felt I wasn’t sure how secure my cc information was with a taxi. That is a great benefit to U/L.
  4. Whatever I’m allergic to is in the adhesive part of the bandages. Clear skin (well, wound) under the bandages, red irritation in the exact shape of the adhesive part. The soonest dermatology appointment I could get is 10 days from onset. Probably will be healed by then…if so I’ll just do my annual mole check. At least it’s not on my face!!
  5. At Port Everglades (Ft. Lauderdale) no one has been paying attention to the scheduled boarding times since the post Covid sailings recommenced.
  6. I’m not certain what you are asking. Reflection’s Sunset Bar area is a two tiered seating space. Beyond has two tiered seating there are well.
  7. No kidding!! I’ve worn bandages all my life on other areas of my body: forearms, fingers, ankles, etc. I had no idea that more delicate skin seldom touched by the sun would react so differently!!
  8. A few nights ago I must have scratched myself in my sleep. Woke up with a red raised sore spot. Unfortunately on my chest just where my bra would rub against it. So I put a bandage on it. That night when removing the bandage I find the skin on my chest/upper tummy is evidently sensitive to the adhesive of the bandage. Sigh. Now I have irritated red splotches surrounding the red sore. Called my PA to get a referral to my dermatologist to hopefully get the original spot frozen and some soothing ointment. Then I pick up Minnie to carry her from the bathroom to the bedroom. Do this every night. But last night suddenly our neighbor’s alarm system goes off. Poor Minnie is startled/frightened and catapults herself off my chest. I know she didn’t mean to hurt me but she deployed her claws to get maximum thrust. So now my chest and both arms are shredded. And I know I can’t put a bandage on my chest. So George has to swab me down with alcohol and put gauze pads and surgical tape on the slashes. This morning I find I’m sensitive to the surgical tape the same as the bandage adhesive. I now have slashes AND large red irritated areas on my abdomen. Sigh. I shower and go buy bandages for sensitive skin and am thankful I don’t earn my living as a porn star because I look like the proverbial dog’s dinner!
  9. I have been following your thread. I’m glad you are home and under good medical care. So sorry this happened!
  10. Yes, I saw that yesterday or the day before. I read the thread…and when I got to the end I realized there had not been a new reply and I was puzzled as to why it was on Page 1.
  11. I quite understand. I’d want to be in my own home, too, after such an experience. I’m so very sorry this happened to you and ruined your cruise. I can only hope there are no lingering after effects.
  12. No “formal” nights anymore. They were replaced by “Evening Chic.” Basically you may wear anything to dinner except men cannot wear shorts or sleeveless t-shirts.
  13. While Eden Cafe is open for lunch certain days, the other Eden you mention is a specialty restaurant that only serves dinner.
  14. I put my two bottles of carryon wine in the fridge and put our passports and cash in the safe. Leave the carryon bag out in the cabin; no one else is entering the cabin except the steward. Leave a note for the steward to please empty the fridge and off to start utilizing the beverage package at The Sunset Bar!!!
  15. Since this thread is specifically about sailing Equinox, and I presume out of Port Everglades, there is nowhere nearby to leave the ship and have lunch. You would need to get a taxi/Uber out of the port area…and back.
  16. Ear plugs, white noise app…and Premium Beverage Package!
