For solo cruisers I have found the difference in price between Cruise Only and All Included fares runs about $50 per day if the cruise is part of the solo sailor promotion versus about $110 per day for cruise that aren't listed. I booked a 7 night cruise on Beyond that was listed on the solo promotion list and the difference was $352 so I booked All Included. I also have a 6 night cruise in December 2023 that is after the dates offered on the solo promotion and they wanted $679 more for All included so I passed on All Included and booked Cruise Only. Even if I deduct the $93 prepaid gratuity I would have to run up a $586 bar tab in 6 nights to break even. I don't drink enough to justify that so I will just pay as I go. (I don't give any value to the Surf Wifi included with the All Included package since I've found it to be so frustratingly slow as to be nearly unusable.)

I'm not onboard yet but the deck plan shows that the forward elevator bank goes to deck 17.

The current European sailing is running the main shows at 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm. The previous cruise they only ran a 9:00pm show. I think Celebrity schedules the shows based on the port call times. The best thing to do is check if there is the same itinerary as yours at an early time and look at that schedule. For example, my Jan. 22, 2023 itinerary also runs on November 22, 2022 so that week I will pay very close attention to the daily planner in the Celebrity App. That gives a good idea of what time shows are and what the menu rotation will be. There's no guarantee that won't change things for your cruise from a similar previous cruise but that will give you the best idea of what to expect.

Gratuity is included for drinks $9 and less.

Just a heads up on lunch at Le Grand Bistro, the service charge is now $30 plus $6 gratuity per person for lunch (at least on my January 2023 cruise); that seems pretty steep since you already paid for meals with your cruise. Also, I've been following the entertainment calendar on Beyond and I don't think they have Caravan at the Club like they do on Apex unless they just haven't been offering to the last few cruises. They offer three production shows in The Theatre: • Stage Door • Elements • Arte and three production shows in Eden: Wonder at Eden: Paradise Wonder at Eden: Decadence Wonder at Eden: Dreams

Anyone know how much a taxi from Taino Bay terminal to the Teleférico de Puerto Plata (Cable Car) would cost and do the drivers accept USD $? It's only about 1.2 miles from the cruise port to the Cable Car terminal. Also, would we be able to easily find a taxi from there to the Cathedral? I was thinking of exploring on my own, no cruise line excursion.

Thanks for the live report. Do you recall if they offered a multi-course tasting menu in Eden in addition to the à la carte menu? Thank you for posting photo's of the daily planner. The Celebrity app doesn't provide the detail available in the printed copies.

They are offering pre-cruise dining discounts on my Jan. 2023 cruise but when you look at the prices that's because they are raising the regular price on the specialty restaurants. For example, Eden has been $55 on Edge and Apex but they are now pricing it at $60 on Beyond but then offering a pre-cruise price of $54.99. Le Petit Chef is regularly $55 on Apex but is now regularly priced at $60 on Beyond. They will give you an 8% pre cruise discount to bring the price down to $54.99. All the prices don't include the 18% gratuity added to the final price.

Consider yourself lucky, Celebrity raised the service charge to $30 pp on BEYOND. They also changed the entrees available in the Plats du Jour. There were a few daily special on the Apex menu I would have paid $20 for but I see nothing on BEYOND's menu that I'm willing to pay $30 for.

The two latest Mediterranean cruises were only running one show a night at 9:00 pm. That may be related to the port intensive itineraries. You can check for yourself by selecting the current Beyond cruise in the Celebrity app and looking at the daily schedule.

There certainly is for Fall `23 transatlantic cruises, there isn't a singles supplement for Fall `22 cruises. I just did mock booking for both and compared the double occupancy and solo occupancy rates.

Question for long time Celebrity cruisers. I just booked a 7 day Eastern Caribbean cruise on Beyond for Jan. 23 taking advantage of this promo What do you thing the likelihood of this or a similar promotion reappearing next year? The current promo only covers cruise thru the end of March `23 so so. I can only afford to cruise once every 9 -10 months so was thinking of booking a Fall `23 transatlantic cruise if they run similar promo next year. I know it's dependent on their load counts next year but did they run these types of Solo promo's pre-Covid?

Only if you absolutely need it and don't expect it to work perfectly all the way across, there will be data "holes" without internet.

With the current COVID variants out there, you should assume you will get COVID if you cruise now. Despite everyone being required to be vaccinated and present a negative COVID test before boarding, it's still spreading like wildfire. Consider yourself lucky if you don't get it post cruise. If you want a guarantee you won't get COVID on a cruise, don't cruise. I say this as someone who is vaxed and double boosted and still got COVID a few weeks later just doing my day to day activities like shopping or dining out. Most people spreading it do so before they even realize they are sick or test positive.

The app lists the price for fancy craft cocktails but if you want to know the price of a plain old gin and tonic (using the well brand gin) you are out of luck. My best guest would be $8 or $9 per cocktail.

Yes, the did one on Summit back in April. I think its a pretty common marketing tool they use to drum up interest in the spa.

On the 7 Night Western Caribbean cruise in January 2022, the Theatre show times were 7:30pm & 9:30pm. Currently, Apex's European cruises are running their shows at 7:00pm & 9:00 pm. You won't know the order of the shows until a couple weeks before your cruise. I have been tracking the shows pretty closely because I'm booked on Apex for the NYE 2023 cruise and they mix up the order of shows from cruise to cruise.

I'm booked in an Edge Solo cabin on Apex for New Years Eve. When I look at future cruises under the Captain's Club section it only shows 24 points for an 8 night cruise so no double points. I sailed solo in an Ocean View on Summit a few months ago and I did get double points for that cruise.

Just be aware the the order they will offer each menu of the 14 menus will change. Apex has been running day 7 of the sample menus on Day 1, Day 3 of the Sample Menu on Day 5, Day 10 of the Sample Menus on Day 6, etc.. Also, there are some minor changes to the menus Apex is currently offering. For example, Day 7 Sample Menu Veal Cordon Bleu and Steak Dianne are eliminated and Pork Scaloppini Marsala is added. Day 2 Sample Starter Menu Crispy Frog Legs are eliminated and Signature Crab Cake is added. There are a few other changes I've notice but the linked menus above is a great planning resource.

Its not on Deck 2 or 3 but I stayed in a Deluxe Ocean View Cabin 8002 when aboard Summit and I thought it was fine. I wasn't in the cabin much excepted to shower or sleep and it met my expectations. Only occasional noise from hall from other passengers but you'll get that anywhere.

Does anyone know if one can upgrade from classic beverage package to the premium beverage package mid-cruise. I'm doing an 8 night cruise and would like to upgrade onboard for the last three nights only if possible (and only pay for the upgrade the last three nights).
