  1. Welcome home Andy and Michelle. Thanks for the review - it sounds like a very positive experience. Hyacinth sounds a bit of a handful but quite entertaining - for us to read about anyway. I expect she'll stay long in the thoughts of your waiters! Have a good weekend. Jane xx
  2. @Megabear2 Many congrats Megabear. 2nd is very honourable -well done himself. Jane xx
  3. Thanks John. You are so right - that Dennis Healy look wouldn't suit anyone - least of all Dennis Healy. How awful it must be to spend your life in public service only to be remembered for your eyebrows! Jane xx
  4. I was right - Pauline looks as gorgeous as ever. She really is a looker and a lovely lady. Jane xx
  5. Here we are Graham. I wondered why we didn't see Pauline any more - I bet she's still as glam as ever. Jane
  6. @SarahHben I hope your mum is feeling better today Sarah, and in less pain. Fingers crossed she makes it to the wedding next weekend. @Peanut006 Cauda Equina is a really nasty condition Michelle. So sorry you were left with problems afterwards. I was given the red flags for CA after my recent fall but fully it didn't happen. Well I've been bladed and dyed and my eyebrows are looking pretty good even though I say so myself! The only problem I had was lying on the treatment couch as my back is still healing. That was worse than the procedure. Lovely day down here and promised to be warm and dry until Monday. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Be well and best wishes. Jane xx
  7. I have completely changed my mind about Queen Anne! I said I was disappointed the other night when I saw the photos, but now I've seen some lighter, brighter views, and the inside, I'm a bit sold. I may try for an Aug '25 cruise when I have a big birthday. Sorry to sound a bit negative previously - I must have been in a negative mood - not now! Have a great weekend everyone. Be well. Jane xx
  8. Yes Happy V - very much like tattooed brows but not a block colour like a tattoo. The blades cut little strips into the skin so the finished effect looks like natural eyebrows but they're permanent. Have look online because I don't think I'm describing this very well! It's worth doing - honestly. Jane xx
  9. @Eglesbrech. PS. The reason I do this is that as I've aged (badly), I've got very pale and having previously over-plucked my eyebrows when it was fashionable I had no frame to my face and this procedure works perfectly. Yes do ask your sister if she's come across it - I'll be interested to know. Jane xx
  10. No Eglesbrech, it's a bit more brutal than that if you're a bit squeamish. You decide on a shape and colour with the therapist - as near to your naturals as possible. You then get smothered in freeze-cream for 20 minutes or so. When you're frozen you lie on the couch and the therapist cuts into your brows with a machine- operated scalpel and follows the shape you've agreed on. She then puts the dye into the cut bits and you come out looking like you've got perfect eyebrows! It can be a little bit painful when the first cut goes in but overall it's quite relaxing. Jane xx
  11. We had another thunderstorm last night though not as bad as Wednesday night - which was violent. The V&A have some wonderful exhibitions. I'd go more often if only I didn't have to find a dog-sitter every time. The Kimono should be fascinating. Not much planned for the weekend except today when I'm going to have my slugs done (eyebrows). I have micro-blading every year/18 months and this is just a top-up appointment from a previous visit. I usually fall asleep while the blading's going on - it's quite therapeutic in a weird sort of way. Have a great weekend. Jane xx
  12. Good luck today - hope all goes well and it's not too ouch! Jane xx
  13. Don't you think Andy that a lot of complaints about rude staff quite often reflect back on the way they are treated in the first place. I don't 'know' you and Michelle but from your light-hearted, funny and friendly posts on here I suspect you both treat people with kindness and respect. I'm glad you're having a good cruise and I hope Hyacinth is behaving herself. Jane xx
  14. I'm glad you and @Purdey16 had an enjoyable day. Thanks both for posting the photos.
  15. Mmmmm. Jury's out for me. Her backside looks a bit like a roll on roll off ferry. I'm a bit disappointed.
  16. @Grandad John Happy Birthday John. I hope you've done something nice on your special day. Best wishes. Jane xx
  17. @Adawn47 Sorry it's late Avril but here's wishing you a very happy birthday. I hope you've managed to enjoy it despite a rock start. Very best wishes. Jane xxx
  18. Jason Statham's a good choice Brian - he's a real geezer. Tom Hardy? - too old maybe but good actor - for both parts - just age him up for the older part like they did in Peaky Blinders. Henry Cavill? - too old again maybe but very handsome - not a geezer though. Alan Carr? - joking! No, I can't think of any young actors to match Statham. I'll do some reaearch! Jane xx
  19. Have a great time Zap (and Mrs Zap). Hope you both enjoy good food, good wine, and buying plenty of handbags. Jane xx
  20. Thanks Brian - yes you did help us out yesterday and much appreciated. Good goal by Bowen. Honestly, I think the title is City's but you never know. Jane xx
  21. And which one did you choose Brian? Fab photos - those buildings are just glorious. Jane xx
  22. Thank you Gill. Yes I've been relaxing interspersed with walks and really getting better. I'm very pleased that I've managed to build-up my walk time by a little bit every day. His Lordship is not so pleased however - he much preferred whenI was laid out on the settee. He is seriously lazy! I saw Neil Diamond at Olympia about 15 years ago. I wasn't a huge fan but went with a friend who didn't have a plus one. As you say - excellent. Have a good Sunday Gill and Freddie. Jane xx
  23. Good Morning It has been raining heavily here since about 8pm last night - it just hasn't stopped, and looks set until about 2pm today (according to the BBC anyway). Quite by accident I spent an evening with Neil Diamond last night. I was looking to see what was on the box and found it on BBC2 - and I thoroughly enjoyed some great music. What a lovely rich voice he has. Well it's Arsenal v Spurs today then Forest v City so I'm all set for an afternoon of great football I hope. Teddy has gone back to bed after being cruelly made to go out for his ablutions. If there was a prize for looks of recrimination he'd win it outright. I hope you all have a good Sunday. Be well. Jane xx
  24. @Purdey16 I second Gill's thoughts. It all sounds terribly upsetting and unsettling but you appear to be a coper and a trouper - just don't let it be at the expense of your own health and wellbeing. Take care and best wishes. Jane xx
