  1. I echo Graham's post - prayers and hopes for Catherine and her family. I feel quite shocked actually - and very sad for the whole family. Jane xx
  2. @brian1 You will always have fond memories of your times there Brian but it's time to make some new memories now. I look forward to seeing some photos of you both on your next adventure. Safe journey home. Jane xx
  3. Good luck with it Brian. Have you got mixed feelings now it's all going through? Enjoy your last few days there. Jane xx
  4. That's dreadful service @Megabear2. Thank goodness your friend had you to champion her. Do let us know how she gets on with a reply to the complaint. I had a similar experience last week. My GP had sent me a text asking me to book an urgent telephone consultaion re test results. I phoned at 8am, was number 29 in the queue, got through at 8.40am - "sorry, all the appointments have gone for today". Fortunately, I knew which buttons to press and after a bit of wrangling with the receptionist common sense prevailed and I got my phone consultation. What if I wasn't so insistent, what if I was older and less aware of the system, what if I didn't have anyone to help me steer through these muddy waters. These are the people who fall through the system and suffer the results. It's very worrying. Jane xx
  5. Excellent news Josy. So pleased you can go full steam ahead with all your cruise plans. Jane xx
  6. Lovely pic Eddie. So cute. Have a good break and we hope to see you again when you're ready. Look after yourself. Jane xx
  7. @kalos Good morning young sir! I hope you are feeling a bit better today but I suspect not - because we haven't had any 'funnies' from you. I wish you better very soon. It's a wonderful day of sport for me today - rugby and football - oh yes. Best wishes and happy holidays to everyone who is sailing today - all hair, nails and lashes looking perfect. I won't mention the nose hair! To all of us who are not sailing - have a great weekend. Jane xx
  8. How very sad Graham. Families can be unfathomable sometimes can't they? I suppose from Sarah's point of view he was still her Da, but her mind must be so full of mixed memories from the past. Not for the first time, I am so glad to know she has you and Pauline as her stability. Please wish her well from me. Jane xx
  9. @TigerB. Thank you so much. I have enjoyed every written word and salivated over most of the food porn. I love your style of writing and very much look forward to your next blog. Thanks again. Jane xx
  10. Good Morning Michelle Isn't the day before a cruise so exciting? I used to love getting hair and nails done then not being able to sleep the night before in case I'd forgotten something. I hope you have a fabulous cruise Michelle. Enjoy every minute. Jane xx
  11. @Josy1953. Sorry to hear this Josy. I hope everything is sorted for you before your forthcoming cruise. Be well. Jane xx
  12. Thanks Graham, and thanks for your fab food pics on Pauline's special day. Your e ening dinner looked sple did. Have a good day. Jane xx
  13. That looks lovely Brian. I'm with you on the chicken liver front - I love them! I worked in the Jewish community for many years and often went to Kosher restaurants where chicken livers played a big part - and I sort of grew into them - luvverly! I realised Brian that I hadn't commented on your lovely family photo from your weekend get together in Camden (my favourite place). It was a lovely relaxed picture and I very much hope it heralds the start of some very warm relationships. Jane xx
  14. Yay. How exciting for you Sue. I've just read TigerB's last review and The Beach House looked and sounded really good. I hope you both have a wonderful cruise. Jane xx
  15. @grapau27 Happy Birthday Dear Pauline. Have a very special day. I hope you are both doing something nice and if it involves food - photos please. Love and best wishes. Jane xx
  16. My first and last words on the Royal photo Sue: Thankfully it looks as though the story is now today's chip paper! Other stories seem to have taken over - thank goodness. I am a Royalist but I don't think this fiasco has been handled particularly well. I wonder if the RF is missing the wise guiding hand of our late Queen. They all seem to be cast adrift at the moment. Either way, I wish Catherine well and hope we soon see her again as the huge asset she is to the RF. Just wait a few months and it will all be forgotten - especially when the big orange bouffant becomes Pres of the USA again. Then the red tops will really have something to write about! Be afraid, be very afraid. Have a good day Sue. Jane xx
  17. Good Morning Everyone and Happy Mothers Day to us all. It's a miserable day here - raining since 6am and not looking as though it will improve any time soon. I would love to watch Crufts but Ted barks continuously if he sees any dogs on tv. I think he must assume they've broken in to his domain and must be seen off with as much noise as possible. Not to worry - there's a big match on today which I hope will live up to expectations. Have a lovely day everyone. Jane xx
  18. @grapau27 Dear Graham, Pauline and Sarah. I was so sorry to hear your sad news. I send you all sincere condolences and hugs all round. I know how close the three of you are and that love and faith will be of great comfort to you at this very sad time. Jane xxx
  19. @brian1 Thank you for sharing your back story in such detail with us. I had to keep reminding myself that this was not just a terrible, sad, and moving 'story' , not something seen on tv and embellished for effect, but your actual life. I don't quite know what to say except good luck with your future meetings and connections. I hope they fill in some missing pieces for you and bring you some new and welcome family members. They will be lucky to have you. Jane xx
  20. Think of the best memories you have of your dad today Graham and remember him with pride and joy. He'll never leave you. God bless. Jane xx
  21. A final "Thank You" @Selbourne for your wonderfully entertaining blog. You've been a joy to read. Jane xx
  22. Many congratulations @SarahHben. Such a happy day for you all. Wishing your little one a life filled with love, laughter and the very best of health. Jane xx
  23. A great read @TigerB. You did Our Lass proud on her birthday - gorgeous presents. How special this trip has been for you both. Thanks so much for letting us share it with you and for being so entertaining. Jane xx
  24. That's such good news about your mum Michelle - really amazing considering how poorly she was. Long may she continue. Have a great weekend with your boys. Jane xx
  25. @TigerB: Thanks so much for your incredibly intersting and funny blog Tiger. You and Selbourne are definitely in the wrong professions. Loving the food porn, loving your humour, and I think you and your family seem so close - lovely. Keep on enjoying. Jane xxx
