  1. I sailed on the Caribbean Princess during Thanksgiving 2019 and had a great time. I just had the Princess Plus package on my most recent Princess cruise (Sky Princess) a few months back. Loved it. You'll have a great time.
  2. No flame, but if it were me, I wouldn't give up. I had a FCC after an unfortunate incident in late 2019 after a Thanksgiving cruise. I had to use the credit by November 2021 but cruising wasn't that attractive to me at that time....Anyway, it expired, but I wrote Princess customer service and asked for it to be reinstated. They reinstated it without issue. I understand you're frustrated, etc. (I would be, too) but I would press the issue and get it reinstated.
  3. I stayed in a deluxe oceanview cabin on Deck 17 (Sun Deck). It was S102, I believe. Best (and quietest) cabin I've ever had.
  4. Glad you got the booking back minus the OBC. However, YOU cancelled your cruise by failing to pay. Princess did NOT cancel anything.
  5. Why should Carnival refund the cruise fare? It didn't nothing wrong. Hopefully, OP had travel insurance. If not, you take the risk and sometimes you lose. There is NO WAY SW is going to reimburse anyone the cost of a cruise. That's not gonna happen.
  6. Isn't there anything positive about the cruise? I mean, you sound so incredibly negative about everything....
  7. Yes, if you're all linked. I could watch as my teenager walked from the buffet to the International Cafe and back to our cabin. It was handy!
  8. Depends on how you deal with risk. 0900 is a big risk. You could go for it. But if you miss it, will the airline charge you a rescheduling fee, etc. for the 1500 flight? Is the 1500 flight oversold? If you're a gambler, then do it. I would book the 1500 flight because I don't like feeling self-imposed stress.
  9. It's right there on Carnival's website. They might not ask for it - but then again - they might - so I would have what Carnival requires.
  10. Thank you for the review. I got off the Sky a couple of days after Thanksgiving. We had a great cabin on the Sun deck and didn't experience the kinds of delays and poor food quality you did. Staff did seem tired and overworked and the ship was understaffed. Overall, I had a great time but am now dealing with Princess erroneously charging me for a future cruise deposit. Didn't look at my credit card statement until after I was home and noticed Princess charged me $300 instead of $200 ($100 for me and $100 for my daughter).
  11. I understand very well. Either one takes that risk or not. I have a very busy work life but I've always arranged my vacation to allow for an additional day. If something arises at work, I have another colleague ready to go or I tell them I will deal with it once I land at my destination. It's a choice one makes.
  12. just off the Sky a few weeks ago. Probably the quietest cabin I've ever had (on Sun deck). You're probably sailing with tons of families with younger kids crammed into tiny cabins which equates to more noise!
  13. I just got off of a Princess cruise and used my Plus package the second I got on - out of Ft. Lauderdale that is.
  14. Understood. Work obligations or not - always arrive a day ahead to reduce this kind of cluster....
  15. Always fly in the night before. You will avoid this kind of fiasco. As you know, EZ Air isn't an insurance policy. Good thing you have insurance. Just read the fine print of your policy to determine if your circumstances are covered.
  16. That's odd as I just parked for eight days at Port Everglades. It charged my credit card exactly $105 - no additional fees or taxes. Perhaps they're built into the daily rate?
