Some people may not know that Cruise Critic has a section for Jamaica only, but for those that do not know that, I am asking the question here. If you have been to Falmouth Jamaica, would YOU give me your pros/cons of visiting this port?

It has been about 22 years since I have visited Jamaica, and I so enjoyed it so much. My question to YOU is, if you have visited Ocho Rios, Falmouth, or Montego Bay in the past couple of years, which place did YOU find you enjoyed visiting the most, and WHY?

All I can say is for the pictures that were downloaded on my phone (I did get the 3 pictures), any other pictures I wanted I went to Walgreen and had them printed, and they turned out good.

No, as some have stated, there are no slippers. I know some people just walk around in their socks, if they don't bring any slippers.

It looks (I did not read all your postings) like maybe someone already answered this. We were on the Regal the latter part of February. Yes I'm sure I could have requested a robe on the app, but when our room steward Felix introduced himself to us, I then mentioned the robe, ice/bucket and the Princess paper (yes I can see it on the TV as well as the app, but I prefer the OLD fashion way.) that we would like to received. I told him also if he came in once a day that would be fine, but it looks like for the most part, I think he did it twice a day. There were 8 of us with 4 rooms, and I think for the most part, everyone seemed to be happy with the way everything was taken care of. Now I did NOT have to do this as it was already in the Premier package, but I gave him an additional CASH tip in an envelope that I got at guest services.

I see a LOT of posters here, and quite a bit (I did NOT read very many postings) of it is in regard to smoking, which I cannot stand like many other people. All I can say is we were on the Regal the last part of February. I'm pretty sure there was smoking there, and I know there was a casino on the ship, but I never smelled any smoke, or had to go through the casino (some ships that is the ONLY way to get to dinner) to get to our dinner for the evening.

Oh my. What you just posted of them washing their face and blowing their nose, sounds awful. 😞 We were on the Regal and I always tried to wash my hands, as it was THERE when you walked through the door. I didn't always see everyone washing their hands, but most did. I always tried to carry a wet wipe with me for "just in case."

Crookshanks, I agree with you about the photographers on the Regal ship. As you can guess, with a group of 8 (not all the time but quite a bit of the time), they would get used to us, when taking pictures. In fact, one of them we became friends on FB, and really surprised me when sending me a picture. I did have this picture, but it was in b/w, and to top that off, unfortunately my head was hiding my d-i-l who was behind me. 😞 I have no clue whether he knew the one I had was a small picture in b/w or not. But when he sent this one, it is in color, and to top that off, I am NOT hiding my d-i-l's. 🙂 Now why the b/w picture they would print with my d-i-l's face not showing, did not make sense, but maybe they didn't look at the picture that close to noticed when they printed it up. My one drawback on the picture package deal was they printed some in b/w, and also they made some of the pictures small. Now how they decided on "which" ones to make in b/w and small, makes me wonder.

I have not read any of the other postings. The 8 of us had the Premier package, including all the pictures that we had TIME (speaking for myself) to take. I wish I could have taken more, but being off the ship 3 days to the different ports, there were a few pictures taken at that time, but not many. I am very HAPPY with all the pictures I did get. When choosing 3, if you have taken many pictures, they will either be in 8 x 10 and smaller size. Also they will have some black/white pictures as well. They will not have any duplicate of pictures in the different sizes. My son was able to ask that ALL of our pictures be down loaded on a stick for him. This way if I did not see all the pictures (which is true) that were taken by the photographers, then he would have my pictures, as well as the other pictures of the rest of our group.

Well it LOOKS to me that at least 3 or more of us who have posted on this subject were on the Regal. I'm not saying this is the case, but from those (I did not read everyone's postings), but thank you RustySunshine for acknowledging what I had said, as you were on the same ship/date/deck. My thinking is on the Regal they did not enforce NOT having decals on the door, as some of the other ships might. Now we seen our room steward more than one time and if Regal didn't want it, I think Felix would have mentioned it before the first or second day was over on the ship.

Geesercouple, I apologize as I was thinking it was Travel Insurance Store, but when I looked, you are correct and it is Trip Insurance Store. I'm thinking way back when (I could be wrong that it was Travel, but I could be wrong on that part of the name. As far as I know Steve still is over it, and seems to be a very nice person when talking with him.

I can only speak for myself, as I had never booked a CVP through a cruise line, only used one here at home. I did get one and there were 8 of us going, booking 4 rooms. She had a lot of work to get this taken care of, and if I had a question, I could either email her, or call. I KNEW we were not the only customers she had, but within a day or two, she always got back with me on whatever I needed to know. In fact I didn't have to, but after our cruise in February, I called and TOLD her how pleased I was with everything she took care of, to make our cruise an enjoyable one, from her end.

Yes, I would say that is probably what you call it, a "photo opportunity," as I took advantage of it this year. The reason why??? 24 years ago I did my first one on another Princess ship, and I wanted to take it again, and "compare" my two pictures. 🙂

I have not read the postings, but anytime I fly/cruise, I always take out insurance, for "just in case." Should someone on Princess apologized for what happened, yes. If you did have insurance coverage you need to file this as a claim.

The 8 of us were on the February 25th Regal cruise. We were on deck 14, and I do recall at least 2 or 3 doors that were decorated pretty good as they "caught" my attention as I walked by. If they were ever removed, I don't recall this happening.

I don't know if Travel Insured is the same as Travel Insured Store, as that is what I have used up till now. Fortunately, only a couple times in my many flight/cruises have I had to file. For me, the bad part is just getting ALL the papers needed to file, to get reimbursed back.

SCX2, my friend like her bed pushed up next to the wall or closet wall, as it would sometimes give her support in the way she slept.

MaryAnn2, that is what my 3 sons did when purchasing the Premier package. I'm sure my 3 sons had all of their pictures down loaded to their phone, and then one of my sons got the special stick, or whatever you call it, and ALL 8 of our pictures were loaded to his. We also were able to choose 3 of the 8 x 10 or 4 x 6 hard copy prints as well.

I failed to mention when I posted earlier, I really enjoyed taking a tour of the food galley as well. The two men that did the talking of what goes on in the galley/kitchen before we did the tour, were so funny. I thought??? it would be boring listening to them, but they were really something else and so FUNNY!

I don't know what deck that is on, but we had 4 rooms on Deck 14. I believe the video that someone posted here looks fairly close to what we had with our balconies too.

I did not read your postings here, but the ONLY reason I wanted to do the champagne tower (and I do not drink champagne) was because I did it "24" years ago! For myself, I posted my picture from 24 years ago pouring the champagne, as well as the one I took in February, and considering my age of OVER 75, most people thought I looked just about as good as I did 24 years ago, and NO, I had not had plastic surgery. It was just FUN to redo it again after all those years.

I have not read any of the other postings, but we just got off the Regal the 3rd of March. There were 8 of us, so we had 4 rooms next to each other. I know 3 of the rooms had the full beds, and my friend and I had twin beds. I won't say we had a lot of room, but we still had plenty of room to move around, in between the twin beds. For us, the bed and the comforter or whatever were wonderful. I had read if we didn't like the pillows, e could ask for another one, but we were very happy. As the expression goes, we were SNUG as a rug in our beds. 🙂

I had read earlier before we did our cruise on February 25th, that the light house was closed, as I WANTED to be able to walk to the top. We rented a small car, and my son said we were going to check it out anyway. I am so GLAD we did. The reason I say this, the 5 of us climbed to the top of the light house, and this was my "3rd" time in my life, being 81 years old, I was HAPPY that I had no problems climbing to the top!

CruzDayz, I finally got to eat some of it in a cup and it was good. Two or 3 of my sons had the BIG desserts (the picture being shown), but my one son said he ASK for brownies, and they said it was in the "bottom," but there never was any. Guess they "forgot"?? to put it in.

Snaxmuppet, I figured that would happen, but with "8" people, I figured, but guess ???, I was wrong. 😞
