  1. I've mostly experienced that when NCL has assigned a PCC to me and they are having a slow day. After not answering a few times, they generally lose interest and go away.
  2. I like to read the dailies to search for which ship Alexa, Siglo, Louis Rizon, Guns and Rojas and Matthew are performing on. I would actually rebook/reschedule a cruise to enjoy any of them. We enjoyed Raul Rojas on the Epic pre-covid and were shockingly and pleasantly surprised to find him and his group on an AK Encore sailing in May of 2021. So, for those out there doing lives, if you don't want to bother posting the dailies (I certainly wouldn't), it would be nice if you at least post who some of the musicians are that are performing. If not, that's fine too. 😎
  3. That's funny, but it's really not a winner for the day. That requires original and truly clever. Our buddy @cruiser2015, while perhaps clever, isn't one of the perpetual whiners, so very likely a typo or auto correct. 80% of the posters here are good enough at math to just add everything up, see the final cost and make a decision that's right for them. The others? Most can do the same thing but just can't help but whine about the evil NCL (or likely the other cruise lines on those boards). The remainder are likely incoherent and just parrot what others are saying. I like parrots, but as "bird brains," I'm not going to take advice or guidance from them.🤣
  4. Well, it may all depend on where and when a person wants to book. I almost always book them 125 days in advance, so rarely have to depend upon the onboard booking. That said, in April we were on a B2B and decided to change our plans and book Ocean Blue in the 5:30 - 6:00 window for one of the seven nights. We were absolutely the first in line at around 10:00 am and all they had were 9:00 bookings, and those only on a few nights. This was the Bliss. I don't think any percentage is "held back" (despite phone agents telling folks otherwise). I just don't believe that advance booking demand will consume all available reservation times on most cruises. YMMV.
  5. I've only asked for dailies if I have a near term sailing on the same ship. Sure, a lot will change, but the musicians sometime remain on the ships for months and I like to look for old friends (or target new ones). I'm more interested in the list of bartenders than the list of officers.🤡
  6. 🤣Yeah, that's what we would expect. That said, as I've shared before @graphicguy, our bartender friend Zandy recognized me from our Bliss cruise when I was on the Sun in July. She mentioned that I had been on the Bliss and then the light bulb came on and I realized who she was. Fun times.😎
  7. Yeah, that's what's absurd about claims that the "pub with wings" was intolerably smoky, to the point it could not be abided for even one minute. The only place I've ever smelled cigarette smoke is in the Casino.
  8. Not good for me. Not bad for me. I guess it's "good" that I can enjoy a cruise with a wiff of cigarette smoke. Too bad that you can't. Just put your mask on and find a non-smoking, masked ship.
  9. This is EXACTLY what happened to me! 😎
  10. It sounds like you need to find a no-smoking period cruise ship. I've never smoked, but my Dad was a smoker and the smell doesn't bother me a bit. I can walk into the smoking section of a Casino (on ships that have those) and it doesn't bother me. Maybe reminds me of my dear father (RIP - WWII combat veteran with every "excuse" to smoke).
  11. Yep. I bought NCLH at $16. Then it dropped to $12. Then up to $20. Then back to $14. Now over $20. None of that matters. It's the $100 or $250 dividends that I "earn" on every cruise. That's the gravy.
  12. Says the person who came into this thread and basically stated that the rest of us don't know what we are doing.
  13. What if the price goes up from 90 days ago? The rest of us are on the ship drinking, eating, joking around, drinking, meeting new friends, etc. and you're home waiting for the next great "deal." Well, like the saying goes, to each their own.😎
  14. It looks like we're four for four for @luv2krooozlaughy faces. I miss those when we don't get them.🤣
  15. Yes. The long version is that using the touch screens is a great approach if they are in fact working. It's a question of if they are working. It's a suggestion to use them if they are. 🤡 True story. On a recent NCL cruise, it was suggested to us to use a certain touch screen. It looked just like the other one in that elevator bay, but it was the one that was allowing show reservations. Why? Well, it's part of the grand NCL IT world.🤣
  16. 🤣It's funny because it is true. I make MDR reservations just for the fun.😏
  17. It's worth $100 if you buy a single Shorex on the ship. Last cruise, I bought exactly one Shorex and my final bill dropped $100. That's maybe not "GREAT", but it beats a stick in the eye.😎
  18. There is zero risk booking a cruise between the time the itinerary is announced and final payment date. The booking can be cancelled at any time within that window with a full refund of the small deposit (or CN cert). Sure, if I book two years before final payment I lose that whopping $25 in interest on my deposit money. Not to worry, I (and all other cruisers) can afford that.
