  1. @BermudaBound2014 Thanks for all of your work documenting the trip, it was invaluable to those of us who couldn’t make the trip. We’ll be waiting for you in Michigan when you return
  2. This piano player is fine, it’s just not the same program. People enjoyed the 2 player concept much more. It’s been that way throughout the entire cruise
  3. Bring back the two piano players. The one piano player isn’t cutter. Here’s a picture from the Rotterdam tonight.
  4. We sailed out of San Diego a few years ago on a Panama Canal cruise and had a great time leaving San Diego. It was so nice just to walk across the street and board the ship. We thought we would book another cruise out of San Diego, because it was easy and we enjoyed walking around town. I guess things have changed. I think we’ll just cancel our November cruise rather than fight the inadequate cruise infrastructure and a declining downtown area. Thanks for the information
  5. The 2025 2026 Caribbean itineraries have been released. You can check them here Anand the entire schedule.
  6. @BermudaBound2014@OBX2Maui, Thanks for the help. I’ll need to sit down and figure out my options. Not helping my situation is that I’m scheduled to return Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and figuring out a last minute plan B would e tough. There aren’t any more direct flights back to Detroit after 11:51 am and the afternoon flights with connections don’t get to Detroit until 1 in the morning. Staying another day adds the cost of a hotel and a much more expensive flight on Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. This might be one of those situations were there isn’t a good answer. Thanks for the information
  7. @OBX2Maui Thanks for the info. I’m assuming if you were doing self assist you could bring your luggage through the line and leave the ship directly. Did you happen to notice if taxis or Ubers were readily available?
  8. How did they assign disembarkation colors (times)? Did all of the self assist people get the early times? Did Club Orange, 4 or 5 Star Mariners get priority. I’m looking at a trip in the fall when a Princess ship is also in port but only for a port stop. I’m looking to schedule a flight at 11:51 am and this report has me somewhat concerned. TIA
  9. Maybe I should pay more attention to reviews of ships returning to San Diego, but is this typical for the Koningsdam when there are other ships in port? Leaving late in the day on a cross country flight makes a miserable day.
  10. I’m doing just fine today, thanks for asking. I’ve been on the HAL Rotterdam for a few weeks and I just got out of the pool. Life is pretty good. Maybe HAL agrees with me.
  11. I doubt it. I suspect Ovation got new footstools. I’m of the belief that the footstools disappeared because of the E-class ships. There’s barely room for the silly doll house furniture in the IV balcony area, so they eliminated footstools for everyone.
  12. I think the real advantage is with Have it All fare on HAL versus the All included on Celebrity. For your European example on a Norway cruise, HIA adds $380 for a 7 day cruise with drinks, WiFi, 1 specialty dinner and $100 shore excursion credit. Celebrity adds $560 for only drinks and wifi. That’s a significant difference to me. BTW the cost for a balcony cabin on HAL was $1969 vs $2441 on Celebrity without any package included. So you could book on HAL, include the HIA package and still be cheaper than cruise only price on Celebrity. I am not seeing how you are better off on Celebrity.
  13. I would opt for the Pullman bunk over the shared sofa bed
  14. Just curious. I prefer this one. I can see the smiling faces.
  15. That’s correct for non-suite cabins. For suites you need to read the description
  16. Bye, sorry we’ll never meet. Will you be cruising with another cruise line?
  17. The Future Cruise person on my current cruise told me that he expects more cruises for late 2025 and early 2026 to be released on March 22
  18. FWIW. I went down to guest services and asked if it was possible to use the OBC to pay for shore excursions and get a refund of payments made prior to the cruise. The representative confirmed this was possible but he recommended that I go directly to the shore excursions group to request this refund. The guest services representative said all he could do was forward the request to the shore excursions department and they are the ones that ultimately have to process this request. BTW there is also a CO line at the shore excursions desk. YMMV
  19. Part of that contractual agreement is that you agreed that they can move you.
