Off the Eclipse and had numerous issues of concern and emailed the Executive Office with details of our experience and issues we experienced on the ship. Send an email directly to the Executive Office and the New President. Well the results after over a week is deafening silence. Not even an acknowledgement that my email has been received! In the past, responses have alwasy been within days of communication with them. Guess Laura's new command is a lot different than Lisa's Either they are overwhelmed with calls and letters, or just are not concerned about past guests issues and concerns. Anyone else experience this type of lack of communication?

Eclipse: Our Celebrity Suite and Aqua Sky Suite Experience

I bet their meals were not served COLD and they did not have to wait an hour for there entree while their waiter and assistant were no where to be found and the head water talked on his phone ignoring all the guests! That's what we had just a few days ago on Eclipse. We spoke to the MaitreD and he told us that they have been having major issues on the ship in the dinning room and moved us for the rest of the sailing to a different table

We found it to be the norm every night. "Welcome" was how everyone is greeted and even in shorts and flip flops just this last week, every night. We were told that they don't want to offend anyone as Royal Caribbean (parent company) allows it so we want our guests from Royal to feel welcome on X as well.

Gonna follow along. We just got off the Eclipse this morning. All new menus starting today bringing back most of the old classics!! We missed it by leaving last week. Oh well. Hope you have a great experience, because our sailing the food was terrible. Cold meals almost every night, weird sauces, and just not the X of the past. The Oceanview Cafe was serving Bologna, Mortadella, and something that was supposed to be ham. I would not given my dog the so called ham. Hoping things turn around for you and your wife on your sailing as we have always loved X. Gonna keep watching to read about positive changes so we can continue to enjoy X as much as we us too.

Poll on Celebrity Cruises' President
CulverCityCruisers replied to a350flyer's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Going on Eclipse in a few days and if it is anything like Summit was earlier this year we will seriously consider cancelling our spring 2025 B2B. Already have started to look elsewhere and have booked 3 Windstar cruises. X was always our favorite, but the decline in food has been dramatic in both dinning room and buffet. Staff is wonderful, but those poor souls are running around like crazy and just trying to get through their days. Ver sad what has happened overall IMHO -
"The times, they are a changing" as a famous person once sang. People do there own thing and the X lets them slide. Sad indeed

Didn't see that, but sloppy t shirts, shorts, flip flops, short shorts with a** hanging out and lots of women in too tight gym pants up their cracks. Just another downgrade, along with the dinning room food in the MDR.

When we were on Summit earlier this year the head waiter said that since X is part of Royal Caribbean and they allow in shorts and t shirts, they no longer say anything to anyone about dress code. He claims that Royal guests trying X should feel welcome, so they just let it go!!

We will see what happens next month while on Eclipse as far as the additional cuts that X has made. MDR was a huge disappointment on Summit earlier this year with so many items no longer available, and quality below what X standards have always been. Now the menus look even worse. Sorry but carrot sticks, broccoli and mashed potatoes that supplement the entrees every night does not cut it for us. Are we looking at other lines, most definitely. Have booked 2 cruises on Windstar so far with another one that might replace our B2B Caribbean on X in 2024. We have been sailing with Royal and X since 1982 and the most recent changes have brought us to the decision that Loyalty to them mean nothing other than us accepting the increase in fares with significant decline in quality of food served throughout the ship, and servers running around like chickens with their heads cut off. As a share holder, I like to see the bottom line be positive, but as a consumer of the product I do not like to see what they have done to their product in a market that offers so many other options.

Carnival's new menu's put Celebrity's to shame
CulverCityCruisers replied to Cruisegoer's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Have to say that after sailing on Summit earlier this year, the selections were reduced and missing that special X quality . Should be interesting to see what happens in October while on Eclipse. Compared to the new Carnival menu and our most recent trip on Princess, which was definitely a step up in the MDR compared to X, we will have to make some decisions about our continued loyalty to X. The MDR has always been a haven for selection, quality and inspired meals, but now that is all in question. Starting to branch out to other lines as it seems that Royal has taken the hatchet to X food for the bottom line of $$$$. I am a shareholder and it's good for the stock, but I prefer my vacations to be quality which X WAS. -
Wonder how Future Cruise Booking are Doing
CulverCityCruisers replied to miched's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Have 3 future cruise bookings that have an 18 month usage. When we bought them about a year ago they offered the 18 months to use policy, but not anymore. After a Summit sailing earlier this year and a few future bookings (which we might cancel) I do not plan to use them at all and just run out the clock and get it refunded back to my credit card. Nothing gained, nothing lost
