  1. Unfortunately VV doesn’t have ping pong or mini golf. There are plenty of board games plus some stuff in the sports court. Will be some exercise classes but most are early morning and late afternoon anyway on both port and sea days, with a few extra on sea days. Check out the line up as there will be a few organised activities but less than a sea day. It’s a good time to relax, maybe go to the spa or chill by the pool. lunch is the same on port and sea days. The Galley has plenty of options including tacos, hot sandwiches and salads plus there is pizza from 2pm and the dock for mezze.
  2. From what others have said recently BL wasn’t in the app at all, so there must have been a change if you can at least do some of the check in process now. Maybe give it another day or two?
  3. Loot can be used for anything you can charge to your room account.
  4. This is the one for scarlet. But bear income you will never see the final schedule until you are onboard. https://spark-aws.virginvoyages.com/api/v1/ext/ddp/5a3193a0af8e4c3fb714386b/2023-08-02#events
  5. Based on what is on Resilient Lady it’s very similar to what was there before, menswear, womenswear, watches, jewellery, fragrance and beauty and handbags. Plus the logo store and a chocolate (the giant stuff normally found in airports) and essentials (toothpaste etc) store. the brands of clothing were different compared (more expensive and I’d not heard of them) to our previous sailings but the overall offerings was similar.
  6. The lower third bed is the one shown in the first photo where there is a double and single. If you only have two in the room then the third bed will be packed away into an ottoman. The only difference is the room doesn’t have the regular armchair, just the ottoman that can unfold into a bed. We had one of these rooms and that’s the only difference you’ll notice, the ottoman instead of the chair.
  7. Probably helps that there is only 15 Mega Rockstar suites per ship so they don’t have many people to deal with its a small dedicated team without the stress of hundreds of calls.
  8. Valiant had a sunglasses store from day one, the same space on Scarlet is the MAC cosmetics.
  9. It went up on the website yesterday, it’s basically the same offer as before with different discount amounts. the main page doesn’t show the Mediterranean discounts but it’s in the terms. It’s $1000 off Mediterranean plus the $600 bar tab then $400 off Carribean 2023 and $500 off 2024. https://www.virginvoyages.com/Web-Marketing/cruise-deals/august-cruise-sale
  10. I didn’t look at the womenswear but in the menswear store (on Resilent Lady) they had the new brands I’d never heard of. Whereas old supplier had plenty of clothes I would have bought if the prices were better. There is now a Louis Vuitton store but otherwise it felt similar to the old selection of a watch store, menswear store, beauty and fragrance, womenswear and handbags.
  11. no one can do check in yet for Brilliant Lady. Once that ship is working with the app the sooner you check in on the app the closer to 2pm arrival time you’ll get.
  12. Just bear in mind if you want to eat before then full service restaurants don’t open til 6pm. So you won’t have time for dinner and the show. My recommendation would be the new Opa hour at the Dock, then Ship Show and if still hungry go get pizza later, or schedule a dinner for 9.30pm.
  13. Oh that is annoying then if you won the upgrade but the room didn’t get assigned.
  14. They have replaced the steak tartare with tomato and burrata salad. But from what I’ve seen the mains are still the same.
  15. On the other three ships only deck 8 has obstructed views therefore even if the lifeboats are moved slightly I doubt it will affect anything higher than deck 9. I would assume once the app works for Brilliant Lady you’ll be able to check in and get a check in time slot. Note it’s an arrival time not an embarkation time. The way it is handled does differ between ports slightly, for example at Athens they have seating for those who arrive before their time slot.
  16. All the ships have the same capacity and layouts are pretty much the same with XL terrace rooms towards the fore. As you say can see it on the deck plans.
  17. Are you sure it was an XL room? They are all at the fore of the ship.
  18. Sea Rover status lasts for two years. Deep Blue Extras only runs to the end of 2023 and currently we don’t know what will be offered in 2024. The only definite is that Sea Rover gets you $100 bonus bar tab on $300 spend for two years. Sea Blazer (did a cruise in 2021) is a lifetime benefit.
  19. Probably not. You can ask the rockstar agent to swap it out to what they can, but you won’t get the value of the spirits converted to other drinks.
  20. Pretty sure you’ll get charged if you take the album. Also no Sex Pistols music onboard unless a band chooses to include it in their set.
  21. You may get to basically board alongside the first of the rockstars. The arrival time is when you can begin the check in process. But any rockstars who arrive before you will get priority. At Barcelona I think it’s unlikely you’ll get held back after check in, but you won’t be able to start check in until 1.30. Virgin don’t give the embarkation times, just the arrival slot time which is when bag checks and check in can start from. At Barcelona it’s bag check then check in, at Athens and Miami it’s check in then bag check.
  22. It varies a lot depending on which ship, which DJ, which party and the time of day. I probably did hear them at some point but some of their tracks are more on the chart end of dance music?
  23. the earliest embarkation time for rockstar suites is about 1.30pm so there is no point you arriving before 2pm. You might be able to only be able to drop luggage and then wait to check in. Probably better to move the pick up time, check your luggage with reception and wander Barcelona for an extra hour.
  24. That is true, but I think that’s why they are aiming for the like to travel vibe rather than the drunken party dance music crowd.
