  1. Never seen a deck plan that shows where the restrooms are, but you can count on them outside of the main dining rooms, the theater, etc.
  2. I'd be rather upset. You can't invite friends & family into the YC.
  3. Just to note that the Sept 18th on the Divina is the annual "Goth" Cruise in case you are interested.
  4. Yes, the balcony is twice as "long" as a normal balcony, but the same depth.
  5. There are also wines by the glass that are $15.50, just $.50 over the Premium Plus Package..... hum... who would imagined 🙂
  6. Agree on midship Deck 13, but these are generally assigned as Bella Balcony guarantees. (We had 13086 once and it was very noisy in the morning) In that case you'd have to pay to upgrade to Fantastica to pick your cabin.
  7. Showers? yes. Steam rooms, yes. Sauna area, yes. No Pool.
  8. You don't say when or what itinerary which would make a big difference. If you are on a port intensive cruise in the Med then your sunbathing time might be limited. If you are in the Caribbean, it's a different story. For me, personally, 300 GBP per person would be more than I'd be willing to spend for anytime dining. In fact, you could almost do specialty dining every night for that price 🙂
  9. If it might jump on, you still get a "1 hour" (no one is timing) thermal pass with Diamond Level Voyager's Club so this group qualifies, too 🙂
  10. Which is precisely why we won't sail on NCL - the "free" stuff adds up to hundreds of dollars.
  11. Ah, welcome to the world of MSC customer service! You will get many, many conflicting answers from them. You will likely be assigned a cabin well before you arrive at the port, but it could be as late as 4 days before. I would think that once final payment was made you could book all of your onboard services because they are linked to your booking, not cabin assignment. If you want to expedite that you could pay off the balance now 😉
  12. If 60 days is "just a few" then, yes, just a few days 😉 I would plan for 2 billing cycles and be pleasantly happy if it is faster.
  13. On some other cruise lines they will allow siblings together if they narrowly miss the age group. For this to happen your son will have to be potty trained for sure.
  14. Curious as to why? Deck 5 gives you fabulous access and has less motion than an inside cabin on deck 15.
  15. Not a fairy, per se, since she sprinkles her pixie dust upgrades for free.... These are bids 🙂
  16. If the bid for Oceanview starts at $145pp that works out to $10 pp/pday to get a window...I'd take that in a heartbeat. In our experience the minimum price goes up as people start biting on the bids and the bids get accepted.
  17. I don't think that there are ANY "kids sail free" that are actually free in totality. All charge tax and/or port charges.
  18. You can walk off with your own luggage right after 7am (barring no weird issues with docking or port clearance). Customs and Immigration is a breeze as it uses facial recognition. You can be standing on the curb by 7:20am. I would never book a shuttle through a cruise line; you have to wait for the whole bus to board. There are other means that cost about the same to get to MCO.
  19. Smoking is permitted on the port side of the ship in the designated outdoor areas, so on the port side of Deck 14 outside of the buffet. The Garden Bar on deck 15 aft has tables and chairs with ash trays. There is also a cigar lounge on deck 6 where smoking is permitted as well:
  20. Yes, it takes 30 seconds to do at a kiosk. Trying to do it online is futile - I've done it several times with $.01 pre authorizations to the credit card but the info doesn't transfer to the ship. Now I don't even bother trying to register a credit card in advance.
  21. Actually my EXPERIENCE DOES suffer because it angers me that some people think that they are "too good" to follow the polite rules of ladies and gentlemen dressing like ladies and gentlemen. I can't stand it when shorts-wearing folks try to intimidate the Maitre' D from enforcing the cruise line's request. But then I guess it's ok to wear a ball cap at dinner too? Maybe some flip flops to match? But maybe that's formal attire in Gainesville 🙂
  22. Depite the fact that you are politely asked NOT to wear shorts in the Yacht Club dining room? That's part of the orientation. If you don't want to wear pants in the YC restaurant, there are other places to dine. Just saying.
  23. LOL, unless I offered one to my precious daughter with a severe shellfish allergy --- ooopsie....😮
