  1. It looks like Blu and Luminae still offer what I’d call “luxurious variety”, so maybe they wanted to put some distance between these two classes and the rest?
  2. I mean there’s cost reduction, and then there’s outright axe-wielding. To be honest, the menus look incredibly disappointing compared to what they used to offer.
  3. Thanks, I’ve been on plenty of E-class. my question is about a reduction in choices in the signature section.
  4. By “everyday” do you mean the restaurant exclusives or the classics?
  5. I know there have been recent threads on reduction in offerings (and upcharges on lobster) in the MDR, fleetwide. However, looking in-app at current sailings, I’m seeing what looks like a massive reduction in choices for starter/entered on edge class ships. Is it accurate that there are now only 3 choices of starter and 3 choices of main from the rotating menu nightly? I believe this used to be 5 of each? I appreciate each of the 4 restaurants have exclusive items which bring up the number of choices, but the reductions look incredibly painful with lots of favourites gone.
  6. Yeah, that’s not champagne. If you’re offered Cattier, that’s also very good champagne too. Had that on Apex last year
  7. Ok, I’m onboard Beyond right now. having been on the inaugural (and complained about the poor provisioning), it looks like supply issues are easing, but brands are changing. Instead of Don Julio, they’re now offering Teramana tequila which may be more premium. The Grigch hills wines are back in stock, and Heidesieck Monopole Blue Top champagne is available in the premium package. things are getting better.
  8. Well, I won’t drink mixto tequila period, so it doesn’t need to be DJ, but it needs to be pure agave, so even El Jimador would be fine. some of the tequila on Beyond was real bottom shelf stuff. The Mexican bartender we spoke to did a stickyness test with it and it was probably 49% fermented corn syrup. Just no. I guess my primary issue is if you are listing DJ as included in the classic package and then serving garbage in the premium package, it’s easy to feel ripped off
  9. Well, if they’re substituting Opulence chardonnay with random white wine from the classic package, and if they’re substituting Don Julio (pure agave) tequila with “Sierra” (some mixto garbage), and then serving it in a $15 premium package cocktail at the world class bar, then this is a problem.
  10. Here you go: https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/Special_Offers/CEL_BOGO_60pct_off_2nd_Guest_Promo.pdf sale starts tomorrow, June 2nd
  11. Oh I hear you! For me, 3-4kg means the difference between clothes firing comfortably or not, so I’m totally up for making a bit of extra space for all the enjoyment of indulgence! ps: nice time on your 1/2!
  12. On the desk there is: - 1 220v EU plug - 2 110v USA / UK combined plugs (note the USA voltage!) - 2 USB-A ports on one side of the bed there is: - 1 110v USA plug - 2 USB-A ports In the bathroom there is 1 USA plug 110v
  13. Significant calorie deficit through diet + cardio to create a total calorie deficit of about 700 calories. do that 5x a week and you should drop 1lb per week. Admittedly I’ve been going a lot harder and dropped 1kg per week over 4 weeks
  14. I’m currently seeing a cruise planner discount on drinks packages of 10% which makes the classic package $61.99 and the premium $74.99 per day. I’m already premium so have no view of the upgrade, but expect it is $13 + 20% gratuity = $15.60
  15. Château Souverain is grim. It’s like a $6, 85pt wine compared to Decoy which is a $15, 89pt wine. I wish celebrity would offer on-par substitutions
  16. Last full day. Think of it as nights rather than days.
  17. Thank you. I should have clarified “in the MDR”. We had VCP in Fine Cut, but couldn’t get anything better than “Domaine St. Michelle” which quite simply doesn’t have the taste complexity or profile of champagne.
  18. As far as I know, you can do in-category 1 class upgrade, so C3->C2 or A2->A1. I did this recently on Beyond A2 to A1
  19. Have you been able to get (real French) champagne? I was on the inaugural and there was only California sparkling or Cremant de Loire, so curious to know if they’ve fixed things since.
  20. Did you have a reservation made before sailing, and before mid April? I’m aware of a change to this, but trying to understand if your reservation was made before or after the change.
  21. Given that people who need a test to re-enter the USA (from Europe) and paid for a test through Celebrity are only being given these as they step off the ship, you can conclude that Celebrity wants nothing to do with people who test positive and will do everything to ensure “you’re not their responsibility”
  22. I believe it may also cover medically exempt passengers.
  23. You can access the current sailing in the app. on the profile page, Under your sailing, select “select a different sailing” then at the bottom of the next screen, “Get more details on the ships we support” finally pick the ship and sailing you’re interested in, and you’ll be viewing the app for that sailing, complete with itinerary!
  24. We sailed around France, Portugal and Spain and all they could find was £4.99 supermarket wine 🤔
  25. I was on the inaugural, so can answer the Oceanview Cafe question. The buffet was fantastic. Significantly bigger than it was on Apex (and therefore probably the largest in the fleet), there were more food stations than earlier ships, and a second bar at the back, next to the pizza area. I rated the food quite highly, though the selection of drinks seems to be diminished though this could be a supply issue.
