  1. I already have one booked. If this happens I will provoke this VIP. The rest will be self defense. LOL. Joking... kind of.
  2. All this really takes is a #drinks communicated via staff or receipt. Not sure that HAL can do this which seems brain damaged.
  3. I try more and more to eliminate my purchases of anything single use plastic, even if it gets a few uses, purchasing prolongs the issue. I am no tree hugger, but humans reliance of one use plastic is nuts. Very rare that any human can distinguish canned vs plastic vs glass vs carton unless years old. I use aluminum double wall traveling and home. If I need a sparkling, I do can or bottle. if I had choice of 3.50 for plastic or 4.50 for bottle or can I will pay 4.50. Off my soapbox now. 😉
  4. It is common place in Europe and Asia to "round up" and to tip at cheap non-fast food sit down restaraunts. In 35 years of travel to both, it is what locals do. Never had anyone chase me down even with locals in party business and tourist travel. If it's on the credit card, they cannot return it easily. 5% is common. 10% is really great. On business trips where I frequent places it is 10% in EU and Asia....guess what? Always amazing service. It is NOT considered mandatory though. The biggest difference is EU and asia considers service in most restaraunts a profession. Also tipping etiquette varies by country.
  5. Are taps in Lido touch and hands free, meaning not necessary to touch anything with bottle or hand?
  6. Why wouldn't non alcoholic wine incurring corkage? Non alcoholic drinks accepted as carry on is H2O as far as I understand, cans or cartons
  7. Yah, and when looking at both similar itineraries in Celebrity were 2x the price. But that is likely no always the case.
  8. 18 bottles is tough to carry with a dolly
  9. RE: airplane mode. I just turn off roaming if I don't have international plan. Works fine... for me.
  10. I would have addressed that immediately by not accepting the food and asking him to redo it correctly.
  11. HALS protocol page does not say anything about what fully vaccinated means, that is up to you to determine (a) from the cruise (b) if you get off at a foreign port. That is at least how I read it. Further this would need to me a 2022 cruise and when you read their page, they have not yet updated protocol for 2023.
  12. I am gonna hit the treadmill, thermal suite. skip breakfast before that burger. Desert will be lipitor. 😉
  13. No problem and no, I did not take it that way. We are just doing everything we can while she can still get around relatively well. She wants something, she gets it. Thanks for the kind words...
  14. I was ready to drop the $$, I REALLY wanted a Pinnacle Suite, but they were taken on Feb 18. ARG!!! Neptune will have to do... <sobbing>... poor me.
  15. Well... it is my wife's 60th birthday and she has had a pretty horrible disease for five years. Live everyday as it were your last and live in the now. Now is not the time for her to be in a small room as we will have rollator and wheelchair. I have NO PROBLEM spending the money and all other luxury accommodations really did not have all the services of a ship. So... ship and suite it was! This is our third trip on HAL (all we have cruised on). We did an aft suite with Neptune Lounge 20 years ago and bought my parents the inside cabin across the hall. HAL ended up giving them neptune suite access, doubt that happens much anymore, but it did not surprise me one bit. My dad was a real character. 73 days to go!
  16. I am in a neptune suite and never saw mention of a micowave
  17. Sorry have to ask now... how do you reheat your doggy bags?
  18. Wasn't clear at the time I read whether it was MDR or not, since was mentioned. My bad.
  19. It's on navigator for my Feb cruise on NS.
  20. So, do you have to specify or reserve or can you come as you wish?
  21. Having a problem like this now. No severe pain, just inflammation. The Dentist thought for sure it was a popcorn husk, but nothing.... no severe pain or puss. Just inflammation. Xray says root still intact. Dentist had to do some excavation (scaling) to make sure nothing was down there.... it is common problem. If you have a great deal of pain, like 7-10 out of 10 (10 meaning you absolutely cannot handle it and you would like to die), then it could be your root is dying. Dealt with this once on travel and pain reliever can get you by for a day or two until the root nerve is gone, mine was definitely root in this case, you would know if it is as it is not just an ache. Once the root is gone the pain is gone and you will lose the tooth if you do not deal with it in a week or so. I am not a dentist, YMMV. I have been through a few medical incidents overseas. Thus far my experience is that they are far better than the US. They were in Germany, Singapore and S. Korea. Nothing even remotely life threatening, just superior drugs and fast acting doctors.... Oh, and cheap.
  22. Yah. It is also your choice to stay in your room, mask or do whatever you can to protect others from an infection, right?
  23. Airlines do it in the time it takes to turn an aircraft, so yes. They *could* do it.
  24. I have had this happen with chase. I tried to purchase something 2times. Then called and they let the transaction through.
