Anybody that sees me in MDR on lobster night is welcome to stop by my table to pick up mine - I don't eat lobster. 🫣

Grand Turk options really are limited just because that's the way the island is. Absolutely beautiful, very little to do other than snorkel, scuba, beach days, etc. https://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com/results/?line=1&shipId=430&arrival=2023-11-18&nights=7 After reviewing Amber Cove, I feel compelled to ask if you have room for a stow away, lol 😆🤣. Those falls are gorgeous!!

CCL share ownership onboard credit snafus?
Haljo1935 replied to OlsSalt's topic in Holland America Line
Unfortunately OBC doesn't show online, so you always have to request an invoice. And the invoice won't break it out, so if you want to know what the OBC is for (Mitary, Shareholder, AARP...) you will have to ask. Of course, if you have a YA on the booking, that's who you'll contact. Appreciate the OBC, but it's a frustrating process. -

Hey @durangoscots I've been pleased with Sketchers Arch Fit. They've really expanded the Arch Fit line since it came out. My high arches have been happy.- 126 replies

@Cheadle_Chick you also have the option of leaving the grats in place but not pre-paying them; they will show on your daily statement and will be billed to the card you have on record w/HAL (that you provide during online check in). Then once onboard, after you've had a chance to get a good feel for the service you're receiving, you can go Guest Services and have the amount adjusted. You can have it decreased or removed for your kiddos if that's what you feel is appropriate (you will not be met w/resistance from GS); you can also have it increased to any amount you wish if you want to tip extra but not in cash. There are several options for handling the daily grats. Glad you agree that however you choose to pay them, they will be paid 🙂 I would also add to not forget about the hard working rock stars that provide laundry service - they do an amazing job and I think w/kids you may find that a great convenience. To me, one of the best services HAL provides. Consider sending out a final bag (or 2) at the end of the cruise - surely you guys will appreciate not doing laundry when you get home. 🙂 Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!

Welcome to cruising, to CC and to HAL!! There is no real "customary" amount for additional tips and you'll likely see quite a few varied responses on that topic. There are numerous posts if you have time to review them. We do give additional tips that varies from cruise to cruise because we base the amounts strictly on the service we receive. We don't give anything other than cash, but I think that's a lovely idea and am sure the crew recipients appreciate them. There are also threads on that topic that could give you ideas. The only "set amount" I leave is laundry - it's $20/week. I've never had less than superb service and feel like that's the right amount for me. Unless you remove them, your cabin stewards, along with the dining staff and most others you interact with, will receive a portion of the daily grats that are billed daily (or that you pre-paid) to your cabin. While they appreciate anything additional you want to give, they certainly don't expect more. I've read that Room Service deliveries are the one exception as they are not included and volunteer to deliver for the tips. @crystalspin may be able to provide more insight. This is a very personal and highly debated topic. You'll need to judge the service you receive and consider the amount you're already paying by way of the daily grats then follow your heart. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!

I will say having a TA can be useful for many things, but it gets hairy when handling these kind of changes. Best of luck on your new cruise; safe travels!

Very much enjoying your pictures and review. Port Charlottetown was canceled last year due to Fiona and is not on our itinerary this year, so I'm visiting virtually through your pictures. Looks lovely! We are B2B Sept 16-29 Canada New England - following your review is like a warm up or pre-season for me to get ready, lol.

My experience has been that they've let me move it to another cruise where it will also be non-refundable. I'd have a specific itinerary selected when you call so they can move it at that time rather than a generic ask.

Shore Excursions group dot com is a great resource. You can enter your ship details and it provides excursions that align with you itinerary.

I think that pup is adorable, but he's not mine. Well, he sort of is - I virtually adopted him. Friend sent me his picture and I thought he was so adorable that he should be seen by many. So I used him as my Avatar. In preparation for surgery, I very recently started PT for frozen shoulder. Yesterday was a particularly rough session, that's what the icing is for. I did get a shot 2 weeks ago; Dr says he can do that every 6 months while we're working through the frozen shoulder. I appreciate the kind thoughts.- 126 replies

Passing on the fish tacos but hoping for seconds on the drink - yummy!! Currently 75 w/forecast of 99; we have a reprieve from triple digits for a few more days. Looks like a cold one Fri night, lol. I'll put that in the win column (I'm desperate and that column is a tad sparse). Work started early today - new system change causing many "hiccups" for our field teams, which I support. Thank goodness it's a short week going into a long weekend. Hoping to use the time to start readying for upcoming cruise; Sept 15 will sneak up on me. Prayers and well wishes for those on the list and those who aren't but who still need the prayers and hugs. Extra prayer for Baby Murphy and family. Maybe I'll ice my shoulder while coffee brews...- 126 replies

Booked during the $1 deposit day and now...

Congrats on rebooking and for the OBC - that's a very nice amount. Since you mentioned the $$ amount of OBC you're getting, would you break that down to show how much you're getting by type? -
They can help expedite communication. I reached out to them when I had a Flight Ease issue and also when I had a problem getting OBC. Both times I ended up getting a phone call from HAL. It's worth a try, IMO.

Late night due to late and long PT appointment followed by more work. Souvlaki would have tasted better than the spaghetti we had; not bad spaghetti, just not souvlaki - the pictures looked soooo good. Therapist really worked my shoulder to the point I couldn't even lift my arm to my lap, but it's the last session for a week due to the holiday so I guess she wanted to make it count. Geez - 2 sessions then a break doesn't seem very fruitful; maybe DH can move it around some each day until my next appointment. Congrats @StLouisCruisers on 5*, I'm sure I'll be 4* forever, but blessed to still be cruising. Good luck to your Teen on his tryouts @smitty34877 Prayers for @Sharon in AZ DMs sister and Baby Murphy & family. @Denise Tsending you positive thoughts for your recent news. Wishing safety for all those in/near bad weather.- 82 replies

VQ Spa Veranda locations on Rotterdam?
Haljo1935 replied to Iamthesea's topic in Holland America Line
Will be interested in your feedback if you do end up in that cabin. It's so close to the location my sister had and she had no issues. Being aft of the elevators is a good choice as it relates to spa traffic - you shouldn't have any. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
