  1. Correct - you will not get the OBC. Account holder name has to be on the booking. You can have your name added to the shareholder account then send it in.
  2. Better than the usual $99-$129 I seem to pay everywhere... Too bad about the cameras - we did buy their pictures but also took an u defeated camera and got some great pictures. That was 2016, though.
  3. Update - I called today to ask a question about submitting the shareholder OBC request. Girl that answered said she'd have to transfer me as she had no idea what I was talking about (her words, not mine). She transferred me to the "Admin Support Office (?)". Very nice girl who answered said if I had it ready, she would wait on the phone with me while the email was en route. Said she's one of the people who process the requests & told me the steps she takes when she gets a request. So, of course I wait. Get the 2 emails she sent (auto response confirmations), then she asks me to hold for a second. When she comes back, says I should have 2 more emails from a different address, which I did. Open them up and they're the new ivoices w/confirmation the OBC was issued! 2 emails both times b/c it's B2B with 2 booking numbers. I guess that's the best service one can ask for - thank you Carnival and thanks to everyone here who offered suggestions on how to submit.

  5. I thought it's for that cruise, so turn it down and you will not get any more offers for that cruise. You don't mean ever, at all do you?

  7. I thought the bookings that were direct, I would call HAL for a new invoice and ask the TA for the ones that went through them. I didn't need the TA to submit the request, did I, for the bookings he owns?

  9. That is awesome! Any recent reports of how long it's taking to get approved? I submitted request today for 5 bookings through May 2024. Dud not receive an acknowledgement email, so that's kinda worrisome. Since we can't see OBC in our bookings, without a confirmation it's blind trust. 😞
  10. Submitted request for next 5 cruises through May 2024 today, first time. No auto acknowledgement, so that's strange. Will see how long it takes therfore I get them. It's difficult w/HAL since you can't see OBC in the booking.
  11. May this year Eurodam AK, I saw a young man (under 30) in a tux at Canaletto on dressy night; his +1 was in a full gown w/corsage. It was so sweet. They stood out, but not in a bad way. DH was uncomfortable just looking at the tux, I think he pulled at his throat at least 4 times, lol.
  12. Are you saying Il Viaggio on Venezia is free at lunch on sea days? We've booked it, too, for both weeks - if we don't like it the first week, your Mrs can have ours 2nd week, lol.

With or without air and with or without good food, lol. Oh, wait - maybe you meant the answer to my question is the same as the answer to the question about being warm? I may need more coffee...

  17. Definitely call HAL; that's a unique situation. I don't have my phone list handy, but there is an Accounting number you can call if you aren't able to resolve on first call.
  18. Correct - you "can" lose original booking perks, but we didn't when we paid the $60. Good callout - always be sure to adk before committing to the new cabin cuz you won't get them back if you notice later.
  19. Ditto - these are great, easier & quicker than staples or tape. But any method that gets them on AFTER your flight is your goal. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
  20. We've had some update very quickly - just days. Most recent cruises (Dec, Feb, May) took several weeks. Although as @sue1898 and @Florida_gal_50 mentioned the CC charges hit before we got to customs, lol. @AKJonesy in May when we reached next level during 1st week of B2B, we did receive our card and pin during the 1st week and although Navigator still reflected the lower level (as it should) we were not charged for laundry (we were fully expecting to pay, so nice bonus). The change to higher level did not show for a couple weeks after we were home.

  22. I have not seen an upgrade bid process on Carnival, but you can get an upgrade if available. Check your Cruise Planner each Wed (I think it's Wed, but definitely same day every week) - if they've sent you an upgrade offer, it will be right there. All you do is click on it to accept it then pay. Another way to get one is to call and ask what's available. They'll tell you what upgrades are available and what they cost, so have a deckplan when you call. We're B2B on Venezia in Sept. We paid $60 pp to upgrade to a larger balcony for the 2nd week. At the time, there wasn't availability for the 1st week, then randomly a couple months later I was adding specialty dining and noticed our cabin # had changed. I called to confirm it was correct - yep, something opened up and they upgraded us for free!! Yes, you can upgrade before or after final payment. Good luck. Safe travels - enjoy your cruise!
