  1. I may have posted this on the wrong thread. If so, crud and apologies. But @Saint Greg I have enjoyed and appreciate your posts.
  2. Charters don't count in my book, lol. @kangforpres please spill it about an overnight at HMC...
  3. Has there actually been an overnight at HMC? If Feb our stop got canceled due to wind, so we could only wave at her and the weebly wobbly tender that was trying its best... but it was scheduled for just a half day, so not really relevant to the overnight question, lol, just me being reminded of the beautiful sandy beach I missed. 😪🤧
  4. HMC is a private island owned by HAL/CCL and not a "regular" port city likely allowing them to operate differently when anchored there.
  5. I have thoroughly enjoyed your posts and pictures and appreciate the time and thought you invest in them. ⏰ 🕑 📷 Glad you make it back on board safely each day and choose to continue to hit "submit" on a very regular basis. 📖 📕 📘 📗 Sending you happy thoughts and a big hug, if you're a hugger. I'm not a hugger, but will do it when situation calls for it, lol, so no offense if you want to delete them, lol. 🤗🤷🫂 hugging emojis are limited on my phone - this was the best I could find. Continued safe travels and an enjoyable cruise! 🙈🙉🙊
  6. You stated she was given a Mariner number after she installed Navigator App - it may have created a new profile for her thus being a different number than the Mariner #on the booking. That is easily remedied by a call (or email) to have the profiles merged under the correct Mariner number. That happened to DH last month on our Eurodam AK cruise and he's 3*. If you can see her on your Navigator, which you should be able to, she won't really need it until she's on the ship. They can fix it and get her in once she's onboard. You will see 2 dots/circles/bubbles on the boarding pass screen on Navigator - 1 will have your info, swipe to the other for her info. We always use just 1 phone for boarding passes, so 1 always stays packed away. Same for excursions, BTW. Good luck, safe travels, enjoy your cruise!
  7. You are correct - casino will be closed those port nights. We just came off that itinerary on Eurodam; I'll post copies of the casino hours if I still have the planners. Enjoy your cruise!
  8. Is the name wrong in your profile? If it is, you can fix that yourself via Navigator App or online; I've done it both ways. If the name is correct in your profile, but incorrect on the boarding pass, that requires them to fix it. Either way, a phone call is in your future - just recommend you be sure your profile is correct before you call as it makes things easier. Enjoy your cruise!
  9. Have no personal experience doing that. If they'll do, it would likely depend on the fare type you booked (non-refundable, Advantage...) as they would probably re-fare it. They're definitely receptive to making money so they would likely be inclined to accommodate you for the potential revenue increase of incremental spending by Guest #2. Please keep us updated on the outcome and enjoy your cruise!
  10. Never used HAL for hotels except for AK Land Cruise Tour package, so I can't provide anything on them other than to say they've look expensive when I've looked at them. As budget plays into my arrangements, I've skipped past them. I've used air and done it on my own, whichever is lower. Recently using Flight Ease saved me $200 for exact same flights vs booking myself. Still selected my seats and got loyalty miles, so no-brainer. Transfers I use in cities that I don’t know or port is quite a distance from the airport. Sometimes on the return I do an excursion w/transfer, sometimes transfer only; depends on flight time. We always travel back home same day - no hotel after cruise. Relating specifically to your question about Vancouver, we did the transfer w/tour on return a couple times so we could see the city w/o worrying about luggage. It was great! Enjoy your cruise!
  11. And easily remedied - just call to have it picked up. No need to wait, they'll go in and take it from your cabin. 😊 Used to be something in the cabin advising not to set outside but to call for pickup; haven't seen that in a while.
  12. I've been reminded by Guest Services, that Visa and Signature Suites are not really Suites, they're "just" a cabin name, not type. As such, they don't come with full Suite perks/amenities such as priority embarkation. The screenshot provided by PACD_JG really says it all. When HAL says Suites, they mean Neptune and Pinnacle. But we all will eventually get to board and enjoy our cruises!
  13. Apologies - I searched something else and didn't notice it brought up Celebrity. Thanks!
  14. I have thoroughly enjoyed following along on your 1st Alaskan and 1st HAL journey - thanks again for sharing. Looking forward to your pictures. Safe travels! Oh - hope you took advantage of FCC while onboard so can have a little extra on your next cruise to AK. 🙃
  15. Right, so NOT canceling, if Guest 1 No Shows and the others have already boarded, what happens?
  16. As if we needed one, but if we do, there it is!!
  17. Per a previous post, I've sailed when one in our party was a No Show, so I believe I have a good handle on the process. However, if the person who doesn't show up is Passenger #1 and the rate is tied to their Mariner number, does that change anything?
  18. Have had several different types of balcony cabins from deep wraps to shallow standing-room-only, but never a cove balcony because I thought they would be dark and seem like I was in a box looking out. But I have been in an Oceanview on a very low deck and loved being so close to the water. So, that has caused me to really consider a cove balcony. Rather than just saying you like or don't like them, can you share specifics of what you like and don't like? Very hard to make a decision on such a subjective thing. All comments are welcome and thanks! Oh, and no, we don't do crazy things that would cause us to want to "fall" off and will not have children to worry about.
  19. We'll be doing the same in Sept - hoping it works.
  20. I'm not able to help, but wanted to say nice collection. Best wishes on finding the one you need.
  21. Will be doing this next cruise. 4* and just learned this is an option. Always happy to learn something new and enhance my cruising experience!
  22. @Colorado Klutch Welcome to HAL! Unfortunately HAL does not have a full nonline store, so other than sites like eBay or other 3rd party sites, you'll need to buy your swag onboard. Agree with @OlsSalt that eBay has a lot of HAL items. I feel your pain on the broken lid - similar situation and the one I found on eBay did not fit.
