  1. More birds ... Mrs and Mr. King Parrot snacking on some seed pods and camellia blossoms
  2. Do you really mean Eurodam? Noordam will be down here for the 2023/24 season and then I believe Westerdam for 2024/25.
  3. Take a look at Akaroa Dolphins (https://www.akaroadolphins.co.nz/) Their website states "Full refunds will be given in the event of your cruise ship not making it into Akaroa Harbour due to unforeseen circumstances. Please contact us if this is the case." I took one of their cruises in Dec 2019 and enjoyed it very much. Perfect weather also helped 😉
  4. Another vote for SyncToy. Dave mentioned it on this forum a few years ago and I've been using it ever since. Very customisable and user-friendly.
  5. On Thursday I did a tour of the Sydney Opera House (which involves LOTS of stairs) and a nice ride in the sunshine on the Manly ferry on the way home.
  6. A couple more that I took which may be helpful
  7. Regarding Melbourne's cruise bookings, I just came across these updated schedules: Station Pier Provisional Bookings for Cruise Season 2024-25 as at 29 May 2023 Station Pier Provisional Bookings for Cruise Season 2025-26 as at 02 June 2023
  8. Just updated my Android devices to latest Navigator version (4.27.1) which is supposed to fix the blank screen issue. Looks to be working OK.
  9. Same for me, only cleared cache and data (Samsung tablet and phone)
  10. This 'Powerline Patrol' chopper disrupted a quiet Sunday afternoon 🙁
  11. Probably best not to pause beneath those wires for too long 😉 Cabramatta, Sydney The Pai Lau (Gateway) to the Freedom Plaza, Cabramatta (Sydney). Zoom in to try and find the kangaroos 🦘and koalas 🐨decorating the gate.
  12. "What's the difference between Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) and pandemic?"
  13. HMAS Canberra - Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) in Sydney (photographed from the Manly ferry)
  14. @Kinkacruiser Are you sure your cruise will be covered? I hadn't previously heard about AllClear so had a quick look at their website and their PDS. Front page https://www.allcleartravel.com.au/ states: "We’re unable to offer cover for cruise trips at this time. However, we’re excited to announce that we can provide cruise cover again in early 2023! Thank you for your patience while we bring cruise cover back to our policies, and we look forward to covering your cruise needs very soon." And this is from the PDS:
  15. Technically I don't think they have declared the pandemic over but that it no longer constitutes a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) https://www.who.int/news/item/05-05-2023-statement-on-the-fifteenth-meeting-of-the-international-health-regulations-(2005)-emergency-committee-regarding-the-coronavirus-disease-(covid-19)-pandemic
  16. As far as I'm aware, cruise protocols are still in place in Australia at this stage.
  17. That appears to be the case. The man has also been named in several news reports.
  18. Also came across this ... https://www.skynews.com.au/world-news/united-states/cruise-carrying-man-who-fell-overboard-didnt-have-an-automatic-man-overboard-system/video/664986732cb9d10d9666ec1741da05ab
  19. Not sure if you can browse air without a booking. It works for my existing booking but I can't find a way to check on FlightEase for any other sailing (even if logged in). See also this thread I found https://boards.cruisecritic.com.au/topic/2903665-flight-ease-question-about-pre-booking-quotes-on-cost-and-flights/
