  1. Not necessarily. As I mentioned, we have 5 booked Princess cruises and we won't cancel them because we are traveling with friends. However, because our B2B2B on the Diamond was cancelled recently we booked a B2B on the Carnival Panorama. We were apprehensive because our last Carnival cruise was just mediocre. But, I am happy to report that we had a fantastic time!! I am platinum on Carnival and received free laundry (up to 3 bags on a 7 day cruise) and it was returned later the same day!! There were many perks for platinum including $25 in the casino just by going to the cage and showing your platinum card. They have a lovely sea day brunch in one of the dining rooms that runs from 8:00 to noon. Lots of fun/free dining experiences for lunch: Mexican, pasta restaurant, Mongolian restaurant, deli, pizza, etc. I also liked that they offer anytime or fixed (early or late) in the dining room for dinner. We were B2Bers and after having to go to customs on turnaround day, they ushered us to a lounge where they had glasses of champagne ready for us to enjoy and the photographer was there to take our complementary pictures, which they delivered the next day to our cabin. The B2B people also had a fruit plate and a bottle of champagne waiting for our return to the cabin on turn-around day. DH and I wouldn't hesitate to sail with Carnival again. We also have a HAL cruise booked for next April. I think it's time for us to try other lines.
  2. I just heard that Princess is eliminating milestone recognition. A friend sailing on the Regal reached her 750th day and she was told that they would honor it for her because she had the cruise booked prior to the new rule. However, if you book a cruise now after the change, you are out of luck. I really don't understand their reasoning. By not honoring the milestone people this is one less incentive to book Princess. I have 950 days and was looking forward to having breakfast in Sabitini's and being recognized at the Captain Circle party. I had it all figured out when I would reach the 1000th day, but then with all the cancellations of cruises, it keeps changing. Now, even though I have 5 cruises on the books, it isn't working out. I am totally bummed.
  3. We were on a B2B2B on the Diamond (starting Sept. 6) and I was following the roll calls that you started. So happy to see that you found this replacement. As for us, we are leaving this coming Friday to drive to Long Beach and embarking the Carnival Panorama on Saturday. I will be looking forward to your "live from". Have a super time!
  4. Can you buy FCC's on Carnival like you do on Princess? On Princess, each FCC costs $100.00 and that is your deposit for a future sailing. Plus, you get some OBC depending on the length of your future sailing. Have loads of questions because we haven't been on Carnival for a couple of years. Thank you for your help.
  5. I believe I am platinum on Carnival. We are going on the Panorama in a couple of weeks. Wondering if platinum guests are entitled to free laundry. What about just pressing a couple of men's dress shirts.
  6. Hi Tina!! I enjoy Geoherb's "live froms" and was following along, and there you are on the same cruise!! It has been too long since we've cruised together. Hopefully our paths will cross again sometime soon. Love to Ken. Meredith
  7. I booked the eclipse cruise in April, 2024 on the first day it was available to elites. My TA said that our booking included the Princess Plus package. We also received the casino rate, not a free cabin. A few days later my TA called me to say that Princess had changed their minds about combining the casino offer and the Princess Plus package. You could have one, but not both. Anyone else have this issue?
  8. Does Carnival offer a low salt menu on their ships?
  9. Thank you everybody. I printed out the policy and will highlight the B2B part and show it if necessary.
  10. We will be on the Panarama for a B2B in Sept. Will we be able to bring 4 bottles of wine onboard when embarking on the first week? I'm thinking that maybe they hold them and we get the 2nd two bottles when our second week starts?
  11. Thank you everyone for the good advice. We were hoping to meet up with our nephew who is going to college in Long Beach. For those who have done a B2B in Long Beach recently what time approximately would we be able to get off the ship on turn around day?
  12. We will be on the Panarama for a B2B Sept. 11th and 17th. How does it work on turnaround day? Can we get off when we want or do we have to go off with the other B2Bers and wait until the ship is cleared?
  13. You better believe we remember!! Bob refuses to get on another one of those tours. That alligator wanted Bob for lunch!
  14. Hi Grace, Have you checked out the Nov. 27 sailing on the Diamond R/T from San Diego? It is a Central America & Mexico Riviera 20 day cruise that goes down to Fuerte Amador. We, along with several friends, are booked on that one.
  15. I wish they would do a round trip to Alaska from LA. There was one, but cancelled because of Covid.
  16. Along with Duke Christopher, the captain will be Stefano Ravera and the CD will be Aaron Hawkins. This is according to Duke.
  17. Yes, Duke will be on our Sept. sailing as our ED. Captain will be Stefano Ravera and the CD will be Aaron Hawkins. Please update the list as I don't know how. LOL.
  18. The Diamond starts up Sept. 1. We will be on a B2B2B in Sept. Does anyone know who will be the captain, CD and ED?
  19. PandaBear, how did you hair cut come out? Did you make it to dinner on time?
  20. The Diamond will start up cruises on Sept. 1. Any clue as to who will be the captain, CD and ED?
  21. Does anyone know where Miguel Rocha is? He was the Assistant Customer Services Director.
