  1. Pretty soon you should be seeing a banner when you log in. We usually book one and it’s about $2000 for the week. For us, the private space and attentive service are worth it.
  2. Let me add my thanks as well. You, and your live report, are amazing.
  3. Japan looks amazing. Glad you are getting some nice, sunny weather.
  4. Congrats on your first 24 karat plastic ship on a stick! Carnival does deliver the fun.
  5. Thanks for the review. Carnival does have breakfast in the dining room, where you can get bacon. Bacon police only at Lido. Carnival does have printed Fun Times. Just have to tell your steward you want it or pick it up at Guest Services. We enjoy both Carnival and Royal. Just depends on what you are looking for. While Royal does a better job with the shows, gotta love comedy on Carnival. And who doesn’t love a Guys burger?
  6. The cabanas, yes, but it is only other Havana people. We had an aft cabana balcony so it was private, except other balconies could see you and you could see them, loved it.
  7. We have good offers, and have four cruises booked. But I am, so far, resisting temptation to book more. While the offers are great, I am tired of Miami and starting to get bored with Carnival. We are likely going to try Virgin, but will likely fly to that cruise. And we might give Holland another try. We have finally aged into HAL’s demographic. Lol.
  8. Congratulations on your recovery and being able to enjoy chocolate again!
  9. I think it is new. Happened to me on the Pride in late July. It does cut down on the impulse to tip.
  10. On the ship. Some say any bar, others that you have to go to guest services.
  11. Good luck getting that sorted. Maybe they found you a better room. We can always dream!
  12. Glad you are up and about, and enjoying some food and drinks! Enjoy your sea day.
  13. It is ending up with people walking away from Carnival. Cruising used to provide a nice retreat from the real world. Now, it seems the real world has taken over Carnival cruise ships. Certainly understandable why cruisers are moving on.
  14. Please come back and update us. My hope is they allow one of the adults in another cabin to switch over to this cabin, and one of the children to take that adult’s place. Then the uncle can no show, unless he has travel insurance and wants to make a claim. We had a similar issue once. We had hubby and me in one cabin, and my mom and minor granddaughter in another. Mom had to cancel for health reasons so they let me move to the granddaughter’s room and hubby got to keep our nice cabin all to himself. There was no repricing of any cabin, and a week or two after the cruise, my mom’s taxes and fees were refunded. She eventually got her cruise fare refunded by the travel insurance company.
