Are food, beverages, or seating with umbrellas included? I once paid $80 to lay in a hammock on that beach where Corona commercials are filmed. It included lunch and drinks... slept through all of it. But it was a perfect day.

Now if anyone knows someone at Princess who can help me get my DOB changed on their system… I’ve called five times and it keeps reverting back to the wrong one. I’m almost afraid to take the cruise. I cringed each time I went to OC. I hated handling those utensils behind others. There were no paper napkins on Acsent, but if I had the end of a paper towel from the sink I would use it. And I still cringe.

I understand about the fees and double occupancy, I just think there should be some sort of discount during these 75% off emails that continuously are hitting my inbox.

I'm looking at a booking on Princess. The prices are relatively the same for the regular balcony, or mini-suite. It's based on per person double occupancy. The cabin is still over $4K. Does anyone know if their cove balcony is the same as a single cabin?

No, I like the turndown and evening reset with ice bucket. I prefer the evening services as I like the fresh towels etc.

I tried sitting there as we arrived into Nassau, legs across the table. It was awkward, and I could hear my mom telling me to not use the furniture that way. And as for that window locking… I thought they were going to clean the windows, waited and didn’t see a difference.

Excellent review. Same sailing, and first time on E-Class. IV wasn't for me. I felt like I was in a floating building, and while comfortable room -- the lounging part was not there. And, being on deck with tons of people, wasn't relaxing for me.

But they haven't met me personally. 😀

Recently back from Ascent, and loved the experience. Absolutely beautiful ship, and I loved my cabin attendant. I only hated that they have 22 cabins a piece to do each day. I started Celebrity on S-Class, and have been on Summit. I'm not too sure how I feel about the E-Class, but I've booked another cruise but with one of the port hole balconies. You'll love the ship! Go to Le Voyage, so worth the upcharge.

Just returned from the Christmas sailing on Ascent as a solo. At the time I just booked right before Thanksgiving because I was stressed out. I didn't think about the pricing, so I just did it. After reading the ideas in this thread about adding a second passenger name to a new booking to get a deal, I thought that I would try it. Some things came to mind as I started to setup the booking. Whose name was I going to add? You have to complete the profile information prior to closing. Was I supposed to ask a family member to use their information? I knew that I didn't want to ask a friend... Cause I didn't want them to say they wanted to go. LOL.Next, having to pay double insurance, that I knew I wouldn't get refunded... ugh! Well I got down to the deposit, they wanted $900 - but I had an future cruise credit that allowed for a $100 deposit with OBC that I wasn't planning to lose. Long story short, after calling Celebrity to see if I could use the FVC booking number with the ship and room that I selected, they kindly told me, "you can't use this for two people... Your offer was for only for a solo." UGH! So for the lesser deposit, I would have to pay more, and wouldn't have to enter into a life of sin scheming on how to get the deal. Hilarious! For those of you who can get the deal with a double booking, that suddenly disappears before sailing... My hats off to you! PS... there are spies in these hills...

Why do people try to force what they consider to be sufficient for their needs, and gaslight you when you want what you want? If you want an inside room, enjoy. But don’t try to sell NCL cause they have a designated subpar vacation option for “the solo” traveler. I beg! 😂

Yes, and I’m guessing that’s why there wasn’t much noise of chairs being moved. Do you think the vibration was coming from the stacks? I wondered if anyone else felt it below.

Interestingly I was told that it has to be a solo booking without and discounts. Probably just my booking.

Before I left for my cruise I was afraid that I had chosen the wrong cabin. I was on 12 AFT. There was no cigarette smoke, very minimal noise from OVC, and absolutely no creaking noises. What I did find interesting was the vibration from the engines in the back? Couldn’t believe that it was so strong. And the rocking was quite noticeable. The Ascent is quite beautiful, and a great crew, but I’m not a fan of the IV, and those small patio chairs.
