  1. I have sailed on one Regent cruise, 16 days from Los Angeles to Lima Peru, and I have sailed on three Oceania cruises: Marina, Riviera, and Sirena. Lowest stateroom category on Regent and PH2/Concierge on O. While Oceania is my favorite cruise line, because its pricing is a la carte, I find that Regent’s pricing is comparable to O, because I like to travel in business class air, which is included in Regent’s fare (some exceptions apply.). I will admit though, that my one cruise on Regent Mariner was superior to any of my Oceania cruises. I love Oceania, but Regent was just over the top more splendid. But pricing definitely is an issue (for both lines) going forward. I am starting to consider moving more towards land tours in future. I still have three or four more cruises booked over the next two years, including Regent South America in February. BTW, I am also a Celebrity refugee. Not going back there. Unimpressed with my one Holland America, and one princess cruise.
  2. I think the point is that the link is not taking users to a site that only lists the Cruises with a low single supplement. It is not excluding all other cruises with a higher supplement.
  3. Thx Jancruz1! I made a note of these other names.
  4. Thx! I can always count on your posts to include lots of great advice!
  5. In another thread, @grifdoglover has suggested Viking to me (thx!). Thoughts, anyone?
  6. Thank you for your response. I dislike Viking’s 1 year ahead final payment date, and I read many complaints about their food. Included shore excursions sounded mostly like bus rides. I hope I have been misinformed….
  7. I have always appreciated O’s a la carte pricing model, although Regent can compare favorably when they offer a low single supplement. Regent’s all inclusive pricing is a trade off to me, given that without excursions bundled into the pricing, I would most likely do my own thing with shore excursions, but I appreciate the biz class airfare. Given the potential for steep price hikes after 1 July, some of us will potentially be exploring “other options.” Any suggestions on which cruiselines are O’s nearest competitors? I also have to take into account single supplement pricing. Thx to all!
  8. Ok, so some of us will potentially be exploring “ other options.” Any suggestions on which cruiselines are O’s nearest competitors? I also have to take into account single supplement pricing. Thx to all!
  9. Monopole is the brand offered on sisterline Regent. Not too bad, although I am not a oenophile.
  10. Wine certainly weighs a lot when located on my waistline! 😩
  11. Hmmmm. I think you might be mistaken, but I hope not!
  12. Thank you very much for providing the link. When I click on the link here is what I found: ”Unfortunately, you cannot currently book flights through Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Please arrange flights through your preferred travel agent” I am confused
  13. I agree w jonthomas’ opinions on X and w several other opinions expressed. I’m not yet tired of reading his posts, but if you are, you might like to employ the “ignore “ feature that I’ve heard about. Enjoy your cruise!
  14. Elegant sounds “elitist”, at least to me it does. I was on the cruise w Joe&Jeff (Hi, you two!!). I was always in my Chicos (from the outlet/discount store, not the pricey boutique). So, classy, not fussy. Lots of choices. You’ll love it!
  15. I cruised Rome to Miami (NOV) and Aruba to Lisbon (MAR). I like to start my day at the gym, but by the third day of losing an hour, I just couldn’t get out of bed in the morning…… Other than that, everything was wonderful.
  16. I loved Boogie & Kashia while I was on the Mariner. Are they still there? Stars lounge after the show!
  17. I also pack waterproof pants - its a thin shell to repel water. Worn over your pants.
  18. Regent has great lecturers on board, you can look forward to many interesting events. Also, I expect there will be many opportunities to play bridge and perhaps have some bridge lessons. Enjoy your cruise!
  19. The idea I like best so far is the one where you debark one day early. Be sure to make the necessary arrangements in advance and receive permission from Regent in writing…….
  20. I doubt they can remain on board that long. The meeting starts at 9:00. They will have to leave the ship before too long……..
