  1. The best place to look on these boards is Cruising Technology - Cruise Critic Community
  2. I've had hit or miss with the Ribeye. No issues with the Filet. On another note the last time I had the lamb it was fantastic
  3. 2 cruises last year, got the booster before our 14 day in October, no Covid. Got Covid over Christmas from our daughter who came to visit. Will be leaving Sunday on our next cruise.
  4. I have not seen a $5 minimum craps in a while. To my understanding it is $10 on all Carnival ships except for the Celebration and Mardi Gras, where it is $15.☹️
  5. I don't know if the Carnival insurance will cover any pre-existing conditions. You need to verify that. Typically most third party coverages require you to purchase the insurance within 7 to 14 days in order to have pre-existing conditions covered.
  6. I have used the gift cards from AARP to pay for our TA out of Barcelona
  7. I buy a gift card monthly. I use it for everything Carnival, on board buying, down payment, pay off, fun shops pre-cruise. It has worked for us without issue.
  8. Was available today for or Jan 2024 and Oct 2024 cruises.
  9. 17 days for us, leave for Barcelona in 15. First TA.
  10. I'm not complaining, just stating the facts as it happened to us. So that the OP is aware of what may or may not happen.
  11. The OBC in question was from a covid cancelled cruise. We were a family of 4 when we booked the original cruise then my daughter had the audacity to get married.
  12. That's what we did. Taxes and port charges were refunded back. However, we lost 1/4 of obc and were also charged a no show penalty, so, so much for the taxes and port charges refund.
  13. Will be following. My DD and I will be on the TA return trip on the Freedom.
  14. Have two cruises booked out of Mobile already. Looking forward to a 5 hour drive to the port.
  15. I think they are talking about the Carnival Freedom. But yes, there is a roll call for the cruise. This will be our first TA.
  16. Hey Bobbi, My daughter and I will be on this cruise as well. It is our first TA. There is a Roll Call for this group. Looking forward to this cruise, we are in the process of moving and it is crazy. We also just had our flight plans changed by the airline, Seems American is no longer providing non-stop service for our first leg from Birmingham to Chicago, now we are be rerouted though Miami.
  17. I was just wandering the same thing. We are leaving Barcelona on the Freedom in October. We have 6:00pm dinner and a 7:00pm departure time.
  18. I saw this yesterday. Was bummed. Already have a cruise planned for 24 and 25
  19. Was just on the Pride in February. Craps was $5. Going on the Spirit in January, hope it's not $10.
  20. They had a bunch of naturists on the Pride in January
  21. Been on the Legend twice, the Pride once and have the Spirit booked out of Mobile. We like the Spirit class. Does it have everything, no. But we like the layout and the amount of open space the ships have.
  22. We had two non-surge protector power strips confiscated as well as a roll of duct tape (we have an old suit case and it needs help at times) all at Tampa. They said that the duct tape could be used to restrain a person. This was all in my bag with two twelve packs of soda and three bottles of wine. When they opened it up I thought they were going to check the soda. Did not even look at the soda boxes or wine.
  23. Not entirely true. My daughter turned 21 on a Carnival cruise, this was in 2017. Because she did not start the cruise over 21 she would not be served by bartenders. I did order her wine or an after dinner drink in the dining room. The waiter asked if she was 21, she was at that time, so she said yes, and I agreed. That was good enough for him.
  24. I bring my portable satellite radio. We can listen to music on the balcony, sports, news or whatever. Not that often, but it's nice to have.
  25. I know my adult daughter would love this. She has mobility issues. Basically had a stroke before she was born. She has a left side weakness and not always sure footed. Do you think that this would be too much for her? Would they even allow her to go?
