  1. I love those Sabatini's poached eggs over roasted potatoes. Yum! 🤩
  2. Plastic palm tree? Beach umbrella? Umbrella would be totally unneeded, since you're under the overhang. But if you have the inflatable cube, cooler, and plastic palm tree then you'd need the beach umbrella to complete the look. 😂
  3. This is disappointing. We always went to the MDR on embarkation day, since the buffet tends to be a zoo. Now, it'll be even more zoolike. Drat.
  4. I would vote for choice #1. The bus trip across Alaska between Denali and Copper River is great. We did it in the other direction, and we agreed that it was one of the major highlights of the cruisetour. Also, the Copper River area is gorgeous. You can take a shuttle up to Wrangell St. Elias park. Nice visitor center there and nice trails around said visitor center.
  5. I would suggest asking that question here: Cruise Air - Cruise Critic Community
  6. I'm seeing Pinnacle Grill on the Oosterdam on cruisedeckplans, as well as the Canaletto section of the buffet. Unless they've taken those out, your cruise planner is giving you bad info.
  7. It's not one that I'd book, since it's under the buffet. Many others would probably say it's fine, but I would be concerned about noise.
  8. You would definitely be welcome to it if it's the same as last year's. Our next cruise is the eclipse cruise on the Discovery. There're so many folks on the roll call for that, that I have no idea if you're on that one too. ??
  9. The 2024 set couldn't possibly be any more useless to us than the 2023 set was.
  10. No, the Dive In doesn't, but on the Westerdam last September there was a taco bar set up near there every day. Seemed very popular, but we didn't try it.
  11. Maybe something like this? Amazon.com: HotHands Body & Hand Super Warmers - Long Lasting Natural Odorless Air Activated Warmers - Up to 18 Hours of Heat - 10 Individual Warmers : Sports & Outdoors
  12. That's a good link. Comparison charts shows what's what very well.
  13. I'm really new to HAL, with our first cruise being on the Westerdam last September. My assigned PCC also requires setting up an appointment date and time. I've nicely told her that doesn't work for me, but she ignores that. I like an email trail, rather than remembering what I think a person said over the phone (and this nice lady is really vague and wordy). I also like to book quickly when I see a cabin and price combination that I like. So, this method of setting up an appointment doesn't work for me on two levels. I won't be going through this PCC and will be asking for a new one when I get around to doing so. Right now, we're all booked up for 2024 and 2025, so this is a can I can kick down the road.
  14. I hear you on that! Hubby wears nice running shoes, and I wear Merrell Jungle Mocs. Those are black suede and have a great footbed.
  15. For our last several cruises, one of them on HAL, hubby has worn a dress shirt, no tie, nice slacks. Nobody had a problem with this.
  16. This! This happens all over the place, not just on ships. I can't count the number of times I've been forced to step off a walking path or trail to avoid colliding with the 3-4 abreast people who simply won't move. We always tuck into single file in these cases, and they still demand the entire path.
  17. Renting a car is a good thing to do there. Waimea Canyon on Kauai shouldn't be missed (both the canyon name and the island name may very well be misspelled). We did a spectacular doors-off helicopter over the volcano on the big island once. We booked with an outside provider for this.
  18. I got the email, chuckled a merry chuckle and deleted it.
  19. I only see the past cruises after the medallions went into usage. So, that surely wouldn't correct my loyalty level
  20. We solved those problems by simply never going ashore in Mexico. We enjoy the ship while the crowds are gone.
  21. Did you email the redacted copy to Princess? My understanding is that this no longer works, even though it's been hit and miss. I went through the Stockperks app for our next cruise. The credit was applied quickly, and at no time did I ever give Stockperks access to my brokerage account. I uploaded the redacted copy in the app, and that was that. I also understand that there's a Stockperks email address for sending these to if a person doesn't have a cellphone. Don't know what that was, but it's around here somewhere.
  22. This. You simply don't need to give them account access. I can't see why anybody would do that.
